5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Cooler

Pros: Excellent Cooling on E-VGA 7900gs. Temps dropped from 70C at idle to upper 30's. and 45 load from 85C with fan at 100%. At max speed it's still quieter than stock cooler. The heat doesn't go out the back totally but hasn't raised case temps at all.

Cons: None Yet. The cooler is huge but it does it's job.

Other Thoughts: Card is a low end model...$xxx..low end..and only has a 2 pin fan control. But not a problem with the cooler. Excellent product.

5 out of 5 eggsSuper cooler!

Pros: Works on an x1950xt like a dream. Better than zalman vf900-cu which just circulates air away from the card. The fan is quieter, too, but I still turn it up to 80% when playing Oblivion or LOTRO. You can hear the fan @100%, but it isn't loud. I reccommend ATI tray tools to keep fan as quiet as possible where appropriate. Install was easy-greasy. Fan uses onboard video card power plug, so you can control it with vid card overclocking software.

Cons: It's a little on the heavy side, but that's what you're paying for. The exhaust doesn't go all the way out the back, but you can use a piece of cardboard/plastic cutting sheet and fix that! ;) Oh, and yes, on the x1950xt (and probably most video cards) the cooling block will overlap two and 1/3 memory modules, meaning you'll need thermal pads for two and to offset a normal BGA ramsink on the third one if you're overclocking. No biggie.

Other Thoughts: I got the cheap sapphire model video card so adding this cooler was like night-and-day going from that dustbuster to this quiet monster. The only cooler better than this one is probably the HR-03 from thermalright...but gee that one is expensive, and you have to buy a separate fan!

3 out of 5 eggsOk Video Cooler

Pros: Cooler brought temps from 58 degrees idle to 38 degrees idle. Universal fitting makes for an easy install.

Cons: cooler is super huge! Put on both my 8600 GT cards and had to take out my 2 pci cards for it to fit. Fan vent does not extend completely out back of cpu.

Other Thoughts: If you have a tight fit try getting something smaller than this cooler.

5 out of 5 eggsMakes Big Difference

Pros: My card is an Evga, Nvidea 8500GT card running at 49-50C idle before installing this cooler. After this cooler installed, idle temps dropped to 38-39C! Its also very quiet.

Cons: 1) Very heavy, causes card to sag. 2) Cannot use all VRAM heat sinks with this card as some of the ram is behind the heat pipes. 3)Fan shroud stops before rear of case causing the heat to exhaust inside the case rather than out the back.

Other Thoughts: All in all I am happy with this product. I made a support bracket for the card out of an old expansion slot cover to keep the card from sagging and I plan on making an extension for the shroud (plastic) so that it vents out the rear of the case. Also, the link to the Coolermaster page for this product does not work. You have to go to their main page and then look under products to find the page for this item.
