Cooler Master's complete cooling solution, the Sleeve X Dream 4 (RR-LEE-L911-GP), cools more than just the CPU. A frameless fan directs exhaust air downward to blow air across the CPU and its surrounding components such as VRM, memory and more, while reducing noise.

A 92mm fan spins at 2200±10% RPM to deliver over 33.75 CFM of cooling airflow with a whisper-quiet noise level of only 17dBA. This CPU cooler comes configured to attach to the motherboard of systems using Intel dual core 65W Conroe family processors (including Pentium 4, Core 2 Duo and Celeron D) straight from the box. It easily mounts above the CPU using push pins.

  • newegg Superior Heat Dissipation and Cooling Performance The cross-shaped, aluminum heatsink and aluminum extrusion fins provide high heat dissipation, plus a frame-less 92mm, 2200±10% RPM cooling fan providing a complete, quiet cooling solution for the CPU and its surrounding components.
  • newegg Easy Installation The Cooler Master RR-LEE-L911-GP features push-pin design for convenient installation without additional tools or the need to remove the motherboard from your case.

1 out of 5 eggsIntel stock is better

Pros: its a fan, it moves air, and will keep a stock CPU from throttling.

Cons: the retention method for the Intel 775 etc was a bad idea (Intel's goof...err i mean errata). if you have a back plate/thru the board fastening system, ok, but this insert, push and twist /cross your fingers it stays. I have not had this issue with stock/retail Intel coolers, but this one was a nightmare. keeping a Q6600 (2.66ghz-everything stock) to just under 82c under load.

Other Thoughts: i used for 3 days, trying to keep it secure, and cool. gave up and purchased a Xigma heat pipe. which now cools the same Q6600 running at 3ghz 35c idle - 58c full load. 16.99 + shipping for this paper weight or 22.95 for the Xigma? hmmm...CM does have some descent heat sinks/fans and other products, i Use a CM (Hyper 212 EVO) heat sink on my i5 3570k (4.5ghz F@H 24/7) and love it. the X Dream is not one of those CM product i would recommend.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

We are sorry to hear about the trouble you were having with the X Dream cooler. Please know the cooler in question can handle cpus up to 65W TDP. The Q6600 has a TDP value of 105W. The cooler in question will not be able to handle that cpu, not even at stock. We recommend coolers such as the Hyper TX3 or the Hyper 212 Plus for that specific quadcore. We apologize any inconvenience.

Respectfully,

CMUSA Support

2 out of 5 eggsDecent fan/sink, pain to install

Pros: It's a standard heat sink and fan, it works, cools, is quiet, etc.

Cons: It is a total pain in the neck to install. It's the standard push-post install, however:
- The white plastic on the ends of the posts is very flimsy and easily bends.
- The posts do not remain in place while lining up the posts with the motherboard holes. The tend to flop around making it difficult to line up.
- The black ends that push through and spread the white ends to secure the sink in the motherboard holes seem to be just a touch too large therefore taking an unreasonable amount of pressure to click into place.

For a component that normally takes 15 seconds to install, I've spent 10-15 minutes per fan installing this thing.

Other Thoughts: All in all, I'm glad I only bought 10 of these and only have 6 more to install. Next time I need sink/fans, I'll look for another option.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Value Customer,

We apologize for the trouble you are experiencing with the cooler.

Please contact us via Live Chat if you need further assistance with the installation.

2 out of 5 eggsSeveral Problems

Pros: Quieter than my stock fan, inexpensive

Cons: Poor connection to my processor caused it to thermal shutdown. While the fan spinning by itself is quiet, it causes the fan case to vibrate against the heatsink, creating a buzzing noise. I want to return it.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear customer,

We are sorry to hear you are having trouble with our cooler. Please contact us so we can get the cooler replaced under warranty coverage. You can do so via the Live chat link below.

Respectfully,

1 out of 5 eggsBuyer beware

Pros: Compact, quiet

Cons: The Push pin attachment to motherboard did not enable close contact to my processor. I have and older model EVGA 650i-SLI motherboard, and was replacing my Zalman cooler that I thought had burned out a bearing. Fortunately, it was my power supply and not this cooler, but if my board had not shut down when the temp spiked, I would have lost my whole rig.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

We are sorry to hear that you are having trouble with our cpu cooler. Did you check the compatibility of the heat sink before purchase? You can check all of our information on our cooler master website. For further questions, please contact us on live chat.

3 out of 5 eggsGood for Low-end CPUs

Pros: Small, cheap, quiet, and efficient for low clock single/dual cores.

Cons: Cannot efficiently handle quads+.

Other Thoughts: Upgraded to a q6700, overclocked it to 3GHz. Under full load my CPU reaches 85 max. Upgraded to the Hyper 212+ and temps dropped dramatically to 65. $16 more and a huge improvement. Heat down means performance up!

4 out of 5 eggsCheap, works

Pros: cheap
quieter than the original fan

Cons: none seen yet

Other Thoughts: I got this at a local retailer for just over 10 bucks on a whim. I'd been tired of listening to the loud original equipment fan that had come with my p4 years ago, and thought, what the heck - for ten bucks I can afford to risk it. Well, it's perhaps not as quiet as the $40 fan, but it's still a vast improvement over the original fan from Intel.

1 out of 5 eggsDidn't fit my LGA775 P4 630 as it said it would

Pros: Was fairly quiet for the minute I had it on.

Cons: NewEgg and Mfg website states it will work with a LGA775 Pentium 4 630 but it didn't work with mine. Temp rose to 200 degrees F before I realized it wasn't making contact with the chip and shut it down. Next time I'll call to be sure the part is correct. RMA not worth the hassle for a $12 cooler. $9 return shipping.

Other Thoughts: I just need a replacement cooler for an older PC. Didn't want to spend a ton on a high quality unit but I guess it's worth spending the money.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer - We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. Please contact us via the Live Chat link below with a link to this review, we will take care of your worries in regards to cost on your end. Respectfully - CMUSA Customer Support.

3 out of 5 eggsNot that quiet

Pros: It was very easy to install.
It cools the CPU very well.
Low price.

Cons: Noise level closer to about 30dbi. Nowhere close to the 17dbi claimed.

Other Thoughts: Bought 4 of these after reading the reviews. The reviewers who said how quiet these are must have had one heck of a noisy cooler before. Every one of mine were louder than the Intel stock fan. Tried these on 3 different mobos, 2 different Intels and 1 Foxconn. I would not recommend these for a quiet small office or as a replacement for the Intel cooler that is not defective.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer - We apologize for any inconvenience. Speed and noise depend on the fan setting you have within the motherboard bios. Please contact your motherboard manufacturer to find out how to adjust the cpu cooler speed. If you believe the fan is faulty though, you can contact us via the Live Chat link below to troubleshoot the problem and get a replacement. Respectfully - CMUSA Customer Support

1 out of 5 eggsShort life for fan

Pros: Was quiet at first.

Cons: Fan bearings gave out after about 6-8 months of fairly constant use. There is no excuse for any company to use fans with cheap bearings in today's world!

Other Thoughts: I picked one of these up locally when I damaged the cheap plastic mounts on the stock Intel fan as I was removing it to clean a system. Same cheap mounts on this one, but at least the fan can be replaced easily. No more Cooler Master products for me! Too many disappointments.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer - We sincerely apologize for any trouble. Please make sure that the fan is kept moderately cleaned. If the fan is clogged with dust and not properly maintained, it may cause trouble such as the type you are having. If this is not the case, we can get the cpu cooler replaced under warranty via the eRMA link below. If you have any other questions, please contact us via the Live Chat link below. Respectfully - CMUSA Customer Support.
