Cooler Master's RR-920-N520-GP "Hyper N520" combines a stylish, elegant design with silent operation and a brilliant cooling solution. Designed to cool the full range of current Intel Socket LGA 1366, 775 and AMD Socket (AM3/AM2+/AM2) processors, it does so with gusto. It features a unique split fin design that puts more surface area within the space cooled by over 43 CFM of airflow from the dual 92mm fans.
A selection of mounting components allow the user to obtain the optimal installation of the cooler to the motherboard so that the cooler's copper base is snug against the CPU's heat spreader. Five 6mm U-shaped copper heat pipes draw heat away from the processor up to the array of aluminum convection fins which they support. The heat is dispersed at a silent 19 dBA by the fan which spins on long-lasting sleeved bearings.

Good CPU Cooler
- Pros: I am pleased with cooling results over stock Intel cooler for i7 940. This is a bit Smaller cooler than the ones I was looking at previously.
Setup: Intel i7 940, ASUS Rampage II Extreme LGA1366, 6GB DDR3 1600/12800, 2x 500GB WD HDD (raid 0), ATI Radeon X1800XT, 750w CoolerMaster PSU, XClio A380BK ATX Full Tower... I am not OC currently
Stock Intel CPU fan idle: 36c / 98F Stock CPU fan under load: 54c / 130F
After installed new CoolerMaster N520 Idle: 30c / 86F Load: 41c / 107F
- Cons: None so far
- Other Thoughts: Looking around for a long time for both a fan that will adequetly cool my LGA1366 chip and FIT IN MY CASE. The CPU fans today are just getting sooo big. I read to many reviews that the user had to alter parts or remove side case fans to accomodate CPU cooler
Good Cooling Solution
- Pros: - Good cooler versus Intel stock cooling.
- Includes LGA 1366 brackets and mounting. - Includes thermal paste.
- Cons: - Some hassle to install for LGA 1366 users. You may have to remove your motherboard if you've already installed it.
- A bit on the big side, but it fit in my case and on to my motherboard (an Asus P6T) with no problem. I was worried it would crowd my eVGA Geforce GTX 285, but there's more than enough room.
- Other Thoughts: I'm running a Core i7 920 that's slightly overclocked - 2.66GHz is stock, now running at 3.00 GHz inside an Antec Nine Hundred case.
Using Sandra Lite's CPU burn in tests, the results were: Intel Stock cooler: 45C idle, 75C load. Using this cooler: 35C idle, 57C load. Difference: -10C idle, -18C load.

Better than A/C
- Pros: -10C @ idle
havent really been able to test max load but Im sure it wont be dissapointing.
- Cons: Could be difficult to install if you're not comfortable taking apart a computer.
- Other Thoughts: read the instructions and the installation should be a piece of cake.
GREAT cooler
- Pros: obviously good at its job. AMD X2 550BE OC Idle @ 19 degrees. ****ing 24 degrees at load.
- Cons: none...
- Other Thoughts: this cooler is great but sucks to install. i have amd but the intel socket looks even worse to assemble. jeez, get a new mounting method alreac CM.
Overall good CPU cooler
- Pros: Unique design and look. Moves a lot of air. Cools noticeably better than stock cooler. Has a more sensible airflow pattern than traditional CPU coolers, in my opinion, especially when in tandem with back-of-case fans (though make sure all the fans are pointed the same way). Comes with plenty of mounting hardware for various CPUs and a tube of conductive grease.
- Cons: Make sure your case is big enough to fit it before buying it. I had to remove my side case fan to fit it, but it now clears by about 1/2 in.
- Other Thoughts: My rig:
