Cooler Master's RR-920-N520-GP "Hyper N520" combines a stylish, elegant design with silent operation and a brilliant cooling solution. Designed to cool the full range of current Intel Socket LGA 1366, 775 and AMD Socket (AM3/AM2+/AM2) processors, it does so with gusto. It features a unique split fin design that puts more surface area within the space cooled by over 43 CFM of airflow from the dual 92mm fans.

A selection of mounting components allow the user to obtain the optimal installation of the cooler to the motherboard so that the cooler's copper base is snug against the CPU's heat spreader. Five 6mm U-shaped copper heat pipes draw heat away from the processor up to the array of aluminum convection fins which they support. The heat is dispersed at a silent 19 dBA by the fan which spins on long-lasting sleeved bearings.

Pros: I've had this cooler for several months now, It does everything i wanted it to do and then some. I run my i5-3570k @ 4.5ghz and idle around 28-30C, never above 50 in games. Paired with Arctic Silver 5. Also runs very quiet, even with factory fans.

Cons: The mounting studs could be a tad longer, their length makes it rather interesting to mount alone without messing up your paste. (still not a big deal)

Other Thoughts: Would buy this again in a heartbeat, especially at the new price.

Pros: Fit great, did not take up any of my RAM slots
Reduced temps 10c on average
Solid mounting hardware
really slick little bit they give you for the nuts
looks super cool in there
hauls the snot out my old stock cooler
Seems pretty quiet, although its hard to much of anything else over the 2900rpm Delta i have for an exhaust fan, lol.
Very reasonable price

Cons: I don't really have any cons, I love this thing.

If I had to pick one, I would say installation can get a bit tricky. But the directions are ok and anyone that knows their computer shouldn't have a problem. You will have to take your mobo completely out of the case. But you want to so you can anchor this bad boy in there with the back bracket. Now that I'm thinking about it, I might put my box back on its side to alleviate any motherboard bowing risk.

One other small beef, I don't think this will be able to transfer to a different mobo. I have a socket AM3, was going to go up to an AM3+ but I'm not sure the cooler is compatible. Not the cooler's fault though.

Other Thoughts: I overclocked my Phenom II 965 BE from 3.4 to 4.2 and Speed Fan told me I was idling around 54C, under load jumping to almost 70c (core temp). After installing this cooler, I'm idling in the mid 40s and under load doesn't reach 60C while running a quick Windows Experience. I'll probably do more extensive testing but I don't do a whole lot of intensive computing so I'm really not worried about temps anymore.

I did some conversions on the measurements and this is 6.5 inches in height. I bought it because I was positive that it would fit as opposed to some of the other coolers that were much taller.

This thing does the job. Thank you NewEgg and Cooler Master. :)

Pros: I love this cooler, it's a little large, but I have plenty of space so no problem. This cooler is much quieter than stock cooler on load and keeps it under 41C Current overclock is 4.4GHz which is 0.9GHz over stock. This thing runs like a charm. Case fans are louder than it is

Cons: pain to put on and remove. But I mean it's supposed to stay in place and that's what it does.

Pros: Cooling 10-15C cooler than stock cooler.
Quieter than stock cooler.
I have an AMD FX-6350 running at stock that while under load with the stock cooler would constantly get up to about 60C and the fan would run between 6800-7100 RPM. This would make a LOUD sound reminding me of the Old Geforce FX 5800 Ultra cooler. Lol.
It would only get this hot when running Handbrake and while Folding.
I purchased the N520 from a local store because I needed something that would keep it cooler and quieter while under load. I would of loved to get the Hyper 212 EVO but it was too large to fit within my case. I looked at the Hyper T4 as it would fit but I went with this cooler because it already had 2 92mm fans and with the T4 I would of added a second fan since the AMD FX series processors run Hot as it is. I used Arctic Silver 5 Thermal compound to attach the cooler and under full load of Handbrake and Folding I only get up to about 48-50C max and under normal use on a hot day about 33C max. Gaming about 42-45C max. The fans are a LOT quieter than the stock cooler. The thermal difference of 10-15C cooler is really about what I was expecting and wanted.

Fit perfectly in my Rosewill Ranger-M Micro-ATX Case.

It also cleared my ram just fine.

Cons: It doesn't have the 4-pin fan connectors to control fan speed.
Installation required removing the motherboard, but this is generally required on all larger coolers so it's not really a major con.
Nothing that caused me to deduct anything from the 5-star rating.

Pros: Great CPU cooler! Keeps CPU between 28°C - 30°C. Which is great considering the general temp inside the system ranges between 30°C - 32°C. the fan on my last cooler stopped working, and due to the specific design of the cooler the fan was not replaceable unless modded. Hence the main reason I liked this cooler. Both fans can be replaced with generic fans and if one happens to fail you still have another fan running. that way you can still use your PC for light work/games until you get the replacement fan.

Cons: none!

Pros: Real awesome looking heatsink. For heat, my room can be what seems like an oven sometimes because the door and windows are always shut AND sometimes my PS3 is on at the same time, thus really sealing in the heat. Because my other parts factor into these findings, I will state what I have as well. I'm using the i7 4790 CPU with the HAF 932 Advanced case, along with my oven room. My temps are around 29C/32C when idle, and I've seen them spike up to about high 50's or 60C when under 100% full load on all 4 cores/8 threads. I think this is pretty good myself because on my older PC in this room I had an AMD Athlon x2 6400+ with stock heat sink and my idle temps in an OPEN CASE were 39C/41C, and lets not even talk about full load...

Cons: Getting the bracket on the back of the motherboard AND making sure that the thermal paste is being evenly pressed against is a real pain. I set out to do this on my own but ended up having my wife help me. I held it into place while she bolted it on. Also the incompetent employee who put the one together that I received put the fans on backwards. I figured it out while testing with a piece of paper in my open case when powered on to see air flow direction. To my very angered surprise, both fans were trying to pull air in from where the case’s exhaust fan was trying to get air out. And no, I did not have it on backwards. I looked at diagrams and pictures over and over before I put this thing on because I did NOT want to take it off again and take EVERYTHING apart, so I had to find the smallest ratchet and fix it within a very small working space. Extremely aggravating.

Other Thoughts: This is a big item. Make sure your case can fit it before purchasing.
