Cooler Master's RR-920-N520-GP "Hyper N520" combines a stylish, elegant design with silent operation and a brilliant cooling solution. Designed to cool the full range of current Intel Socket LGA 1366, 775 and AMD Socket (AM3/AM2+/AM2) processors, it does so with gusto. It features a unique split fin design that puts more surface area within the space cooled by over 43 CFM of airflow from the dual 92mm fans.

A selection of mounting components allow the user to obtain the optimal installation of the cooler to the motherboard so that the cooler's copper base is snug against the CPU's heat spreader. Five 6mm U-shaped copper heat pipes draw heat away from the processor up to the array of aluminum convection fins which they support. The heat is dispersed at a silent 19 dBA by the fan which spins on long-lasting sleeved bearings.

  • newegg Superior Heat Dissipation and Cooling Performance The copper base and 4 copper heatpipes conduct heat fast; high-density aluminum fins maximize heat dissipation area, plus dual 92mm, 1800RPM sleeve bearing fan to deliver optimal cooling performance.
  • newegg Universal Socket Compatibility The Cooler Master RR-920-N520-GP features broad compatibility with AMD socket 754, 939, 940, and AM2 platforms, as well as the Intel LGA 775 and 1366 platform.

Cooler Master’s Hyper TX series has evolved with requirements of mainstream CPUs. The introduction of Hyper TX3 marks another milestone with Cooler Master's first-ever full compatibility - Intel LGA 1156 socket. The Hyper TX3 also brings back the "original" direct contact heat-pipe design from Cooler Master.

  • newegg Superior Heat Dissipation The Cooler Master Hyper TX3 features "heatpipe direct contact" technology for efficient heat conduction, plus high-density aluminum fins for maximum heat dissipation. The 92mm fan runs efficiently to deliver unparalleled cooling performance.
  • newegg Expandable for a Second Fan Add a 2nd cooling fan (optional) to the Cooler Master Hyper TX3 to achieve the best possible cooling performance!
  • newegg PWM Function The PWM function automatically adjusts fan speeds according to the CPU temperature for efficient cooling and minimized fan noise.
  • newegg Universal Socket Compatibility The Cooler Master Hyper TX3 features broad compatibility with AMD socket 754, 939, 940, and AM2 platforms, as well as Intel LGA 775 and 1156 platforms.

Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO CPU Cooler

Unmatched performance for the value, these are the tenants that guided Cooler Master engineers when designing the Hyper 212 EVO. Patented Continuous Direct Contact (CDC) technology ensures that the heat pipes are free of barriers while drawing heat away from the processor. A PWM fan ensures that fan speed can be intelligently controlled to ensure that it only speeds up when more cooling is necessary.

5 out of 5 eggsCooler Master does it again

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper N520 - CPU Cooler with Copper Base and 5 Heatpipes

Pros: Cheap without the cons of a cheap product
Cooler Master are truly the masters of cool

Cons: Not necessarily a con, but expect it to be big

Other Thoughts: Whoa Nelly, this thing is a solid, cool block of metal and copper. Running an overclocked i5 4670k and temperature is not even an issue.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat cooler for a first time build

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper N520 - CPU Cooler with Copper Base and 5 Heatpipes

Pros: - Very good cooler for the price (32c stable. 44c under load)
- Very stable cooling
- Easy to install (follow the instructions)
- Aesthetically pleasing
- Comes with connector for both fans to plug into one socket

Cons: - Size may be an issue for smaller motherboards ( < ATX)

Other Thoughts: If you are a first time PC builder or are just looking for a powerful heat sink, you may want to look further into this model. I have built multiple PCs and unless you want a liquid cooled system, this cooler will easily meet your cooling needs.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper N520 - CPU Cooler with Copper Base and 5 Heatpipes

Pros: Not a single problem to date, purchased this quite a while back along with my fx-8350 and it's worth every bit. It keeps temperatures very low (I also have a fairly well ventilated case, so numbers are arbitrary in this situation). Fans are fully operational, nice fit, all of the attachments that are needed for my AMD motherboard were all available and easy to install.

Cons: Big. Not as big as some heatsink/fan combinations, but still relatively large. You'll get away with using 4 sticks of RAM if they're low profile like the G.skill sniper series.

Other Thoughts: The heatsink is cool to the touch on the 8350. Not overclocked, no need to when I have eight cores for gaming. Even stays low when I stream.

3 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper N520 - CPU Cooler with Copper Base and 5 Heatpipes

Pros: Small, included shroud, dual fans

Cons: Where to start. First off, the included fans suck. They are loud and resonate, IMO. I switched them out with low profile 92mm noctuas and the noise went away. The other issue is cooling. If you are using a 75W processor or less, by all means this will be adequate. For any AMD FX users, please steer clear and just do yourself a favor and pick up the 212+ or evo for the same money. You will be about 5-8C cooler and not have those horrid fans to deal with.

4 out of 5 eggsworks as intended

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper N520 - CPU Cooler with Copper Base and 5 Heatpipes

Pros: 5 heat pipes, copper base, dual fans push/pull configuration, easy installation since I now owned 4 of CM line of coolers (Hyper212, Evo, Gemin4, and this one). None have fail yet.

Cons: In mini-itx build, clearance constraints, but I know that when I bought it. Some people might have trouble installing due to motherboard layout, RAM locations, socket locations, etc.

Other Thoughts: Research is your best friend. Took me hours of measuring and research before settling on this. So I installed this a few days ago on a Asrock Z87 mini-itx MB & Corsair Obsidian 250D mini-itx case. It barely fits with 1/16" (1.56mm) to spare from heat pipes to top cover of case. It's around 37 degrees C on idle. Well, I would like to be around 28-31c, but it's okay I guess. Lastly, it hasn't BQQed my I7 4770s yet.

4 out of 5 eggsgood cooling, installation not the best, larger than you would think

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper N520 - CPU Cooler with Copper Base and 5 Heatpipes

Pros: Running a 4570k @ 1.31V 4.5ghz idles in mid 30's, gaming in low 60's, prime95 low to mid 70's, on a Cooler Master HAF 922 with 5 fans.

Cons: installation could have been easy on certain cases. But my cpu window on the back of my case is a little to high for my cpu holes and I had to uses needle plies to tighten the nuts. However like almost every other design i see has you screw them from the top of the motherboard which would have made my job a ton easier.

4 out of 5 eggsgreat cooler

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper N520 - CPU Cooler with Copper Base and 5 Heatpipes

Pros: keeps my CPU chilled

Cons: the install is a bit crazy. to makes life easier if you can remove both sides of your case to access the back side of you mobo do to me installing this after I built my PC you would have to take it completely apart to get to the underside of the mobo. so just a heads up.

3 out of 5 eggsA little loud, works pretty well

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper N520 - CPU Cooler with Copper Base and 5 Heatpipes

Pros: TWO fans! the entire bottom is flat copper, no aluminium between pipes, no gaps. I like that it's a bit shorter than some of the other cool master rifle coolers.

Cons: No PWM = always loud, somewhat of a disappointment.

Other Thoughts: Keep in mind copper is somewhat weak. IC 7 did scratch the bottom of the cooler a bit. I have to wonder if this is actually better than 1 good quality 120mm fan. Looking at CMs other offerings, I don't think so.
I'd recommend the TPC-612 over it for sure, ESPECIALLY with the current promo.

4 out of 5 eggsNice heat distro for dual-fan cooler

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper N520 - CPU Cooler with Copper Base and 5 Heatpipes

Pros: Almost keeps up with my Corsair H100i, sealed water-cooling sys.

Cons: Back-plate & nut mounts are too tight. Very light finger-tight discretion is advised.
