4 out of 5 eggsIts worth the money but...

This review is from: Cooler Master SickleFlow 120 - Sleeve Bearing 120mm Blue LED Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators

Pros: Worth the cost, has a decent LED brightness on it and moves a lot of air. Fit right in to my Cosmos II case.

Cons: The only reason I dropped an Egg was for the fact that when these get turned down, they have an annoying sound. It is not too loud by itself, but when you have 5 of them, they can get bad. It almost adds a ticking sound.

Other Thoughts: Still a good buy, and if I need to replace one, I would get another. The sound only bugs me because my computers stays cool with all the fans I have, so I dont have a need for full speed very often.

3 out of 5 eggsVERY LOUD, Look cool

This review is from: Cooler Master SickleFlow 120 - Sleeve Bearing 120mm Blue LED Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators

Pros: - Look cool
- Move a lot of air
- Cooler Master

Cons: - Very loud
- 2 started rattling very bad within a weeks time

Other Thoughts: Since I installed these in my PC my temps have dropped, but the noise level has increased dramatically. These things are very loud, and 2 of them are rattling already. You get what you pay for I suppose.

I am in the process of ordering Rosewill 120mm with 2 ball bearing and fan control for 2 more dollars to replace these.

5 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: Cooler Master SickleFlow 120 - Sleeve Bearing 120mm Blue LED Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators

Pros: move lots of air quietly

Cons: Mine is setup as an intake so its noticebly louder pulling air through my screen/filter but that's an issue with my setup or any fan moving this much air so no eggs deducted

5 out of 5 eggsAll working pretty well, not silent at all

This review is from: Cooler Master SickleFlow 120 - Sleeve Bearing 120mm Blue LED Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators

Pros: Work well for the price
LEDs are nice
Cools the computer efficiently
Good if you're not aiming for quiet

Cons: Are not silent at all, actually
Noisy, loud

Other Thoughts: I bought 4 fans, and all of them work as intended. They're actually quite noisy, and even at rest there is a very loud hum that resonates from the computer case. It's not loud enough to wake people in the next room, but it can be distracting when using heavy duty applications. Personally, I don't mind, which is why I gave 5 eggs.

If you're looking for cheap, good fans, these are the ones you should get if you don't mind loud hums.

4 out of 5 eggsLoud, loud, loud!

This review is from: Cooler Master SickleFlow 120 - Sleeve Bearing 120mm Blue LED Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators

Pros: Bright LEDs
Cool look
Keeps case cool

Cons: Moved them from the front of my case to the side panel to cool a GTX 480, it's insanely loud, sounds like a jet engine. Didn't used to do this, I will have to get a fan controller to turn them on when it starts heating up.

Other Thoughts: Otherwise good fans. If you plan on using these for intake, look elsewhere.

3 out of 5 eggsSounds like a jet

This review is from: Cooler Master SickleFlow 120 - Sleeve Bearing 120mm Blue LED Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators

Pros: Neat lighting pattern,
Pushes a decent amount of air,
Works great as exhaust

Cons: Does not work as an intake fan,
Incredibly noisy,
Doesn't like restricted airflow.

Other Thoughts: I got three of these fans for use in two different cases, and they all exhibit the same behavior. They are incredibly quiet when used as exhaust fans, move a ton of air, but if you use them as intake fans prepare for 50+db of noise. I used them through a filter on the front of my case, noise. Through honey comb on the side of the case, even louder. The other case I put them in as intake on the side with huge honeycombs no filter, still made an obnoxious sound. It appears they need at least an inch between them and whatever you're putting it behind in order for them not to make horrendous noise as an intake fan. Something about the airflow being restricted makes these fans obscenely loud.

I ended up getting some Enermax Vegas fans. Little pricier, but they're quieter, put out more air, and they look way cooler with their changeable light patterns. I still have these Sickleflows mounted as exhaust, but I'm not entirely happy with them. Will probably end up replacing them with more Enermax T.B.'s soon.

4 out of 5 eggsIts kinda loud

This review is from: Cooler Master SickleFlow 120 - Sleeve Bearing 120mm Blue LED Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators

Pros: if you turn down the fan speed to 450rpm (lowest it can go without turning off) i was able to reacher 22 dBA which was definitely a lot closer to its featured specs. even at 450rpm this fan moves quite a lot of air.
i only recommend this fan to people with mobos that have built in speed control, for people who have to run this fan at 100% dont buy it, its too loud

Cons: they lied about 19 dBA
