5 out of 5 eggsWorth it's weight in gold

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus - CPU Cooler with 4 Direct Contact Heatpipes

Pros: inexpensive
Works
Can OC CPU with it

Cons: Need a better fan

Other Thoughts: I used this on my i7 2600k cpu and was able to OC to 4.6ghz with no problem. Temps maxed in the mid 70s running Prime 95, but in the 60s during gaming. I changed the fan though. It does the job and I'd recommend it to those looking for an inexpensive, yet, well capable air cooling solution. Note: If you really want to get those temps down, then water cooling is the ticket.

5 out of 5 eggsKeeps my 4790k in the 30s at idle and maxing out at low 70s under load

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus - CPU Cooler with 4 Direct Contact Heatpipes

Pros: Very nice price range for the cooling capabilities. I know they have a newer version but I decided to stick with the tried and true.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: Excellent purchase IMO.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat cooler for the price

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus - CPU Cooler with 4 Direct Contact Heatpipes

Pros: What can you say? Keeps things very cool, lots of headroom for overclocking, and affordable. Quiet.

Cons: Large. Make sure it will fit in your case, though this shouldn't be a problem with most enthusiast-oriented cases.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus - CPU Cooler with 4 Direct Contact Heatpipes

Pros: Even running Fallout 4 at max settings my fan can be idle at 25% most of the time. Highest I've seen is 34% fan at 51C

Cons: Fan does get noisy at high speeds

5 out of 5 eggsFour years, no issues

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus - CPU Cooler with 4 Direct Contact Heatpipes

Pros: -A great CPU cooler for a great price
-Does a decent job while not being too loud

Cons: -No problems

Other Thoughts: I used this CPU cooler for four years and loved it. The only reason I no longer use it is because I wanted to get into water cooling. For anyone on a budget or anyone looking to overclock, this is the way to go. Would definitely recommend.

1 out of 5 eggsCM Hyper 212 Plus - CPU Cooler

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus - CPU Cooler with 4 Direct Contact Heatpipes

Pros: Price is good, now they have $10 rebate which is better.

Cons: You can only install this cooler one way on AM3 system which the air flows to the top vent. Because of the way the bracket is made for this cooler, you can't install this cooler vertically. It means if you have no top vent in your computer case, the temp will gradually go higher and higher. The fan started to make noise little after a year of use even with regular maintenance.

Other Thoughts: My computer is open case which doesn't bother me for installing it vertically or horizontally. As I mentioned above, if your desk top computer case has no top vent, then you might want to look other brands that installs vertically. Now I have to shop for new fan, because the warranty for this cooler is only good for 1 year.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat cooler

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus - CPU Cooler with 4 Direct Contact Heatpipes

Pros: Large, easily configurable to your CPU, keeps CPU very cool

Cons: Not completely intuitive installation, but pictures with a little interpretation are just fine.

Other Thoughts: On an AMD Athlon II X4 630, went from 39ºC to 27ºC idle, and 60+ºC to 31º full load compared to the stock cooler. Well worth the investment. Instructions mentioned above are adequate, but do take some interpretation. I think there are some videos too, but that might be another cooler. Either way, it's well designed and definitely stays put.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Heatsink!!!!!!

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus - CPU Cooler with 4 Direct Contact Heatpipes

Pros: -Saved my CPU
-Great value for the money

Cons: -Little big but not bad

Other Thoughts: My CPU was overheating when I got it. Then I picked this boy up and it was perfect. No more overheating. The only problem was that it is a little big and had to remove a fan on my case but, I won't penalize it for that because it saved my PC.

1 out of 5 eggsCM Hyper 212 Plus - CPU Cooler

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus - CPU Cooler with 4 Direct Contact Heatpipes

Pros: Cheaper price compare to other brands.

Cons: It only allows horizontal installation for AMD Am3/+, NO Vertical installation.
Doesn't last long time, only used for a year and half.
See other thoughts.

Other Thoughts: Price was good at the time of purchase and its even lower now. If you have a normal ATX desktop computer case with no top ventilation, I suggest look some other products. The heatsink is unable to installation vertically due to the bracket design. Also, the fan is getting loud after a year and half of use. I use air to blow the dust every 2 months to keep it running good and clean. The CPU temp is higher 10 c degree higher than a year ago. I guess its time to replace with other brand. I also tried some other cooler master heatsink on my other computer, but bad result. Not going to try any more cooler master in the future
