1 out of 5 eggsIt worked for two months then dead

This review is from: Cooler Master Blade Master 92 - Sleeve Bearing 92mm PWM Cooling Fan for Computer Cases and CPU Coolers

Pros: When it works, it is quite

Cons: Unfortunately, it only lasted two months. I have this one as my back panel system fan on my rig, with 4790K and Geforce GT960. Recently I have been experience random shutdown and sometime it won't even boot up. I opened up the case and noticed that this fan is running at an extremely low speed, the monitoring tool says the speed is too low (below 99rpm). I tried to put the system into full load, and tried to manually adjust the speed, nothing worked, it just slowly running by itself. No wonder my system is acting up, it is overheating. I took out an old 92mm made by someone else and no more random shutdown.

Manufacturer Response:

1 out of 5 eggsabsolute trash! UPDATE 2

This review is from: Cooler Master Blade Master 92 - Sleeve Bearing 92mm PWM Cooling Fan for Computer Cases and CPU Coolers

Pros: great for killing your pc... literally, put this fan in someone's pc that you dislike and let it run in it for about 5 days and their pc will nolonger work!

Cons: this fan is the computer version of achmed from the jeff dunham show-- instead of blowing up gas stations, it fries your pc!

Other Thoughts: after my last review (again). thank goodness for the power short ic, my motherboard is loaded with em and so is everything else... except... my graphics card. after extensive cleaning with alcohol it has appeared that everything else is fine but my graphics card, is really badly damaged and draws really messed up screens, some times it draws two screens top and bottom tinted red and drawn like the gameboy color and everything is squished and it flickers a lot too... even rarer it will briefly draw 4 screens like the two on top of each other then the screen will go black.not impressed now i have to buy a new graphics card...i am switching to noctua coolers, its only a matter if one will fit in my case but, they wont kill my pc.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat air mover

This review is from: Cooler Master Blade Master 92 - Sleeve Bearing 92mm PWM Cooling Fan for Computer Cases and CPU Coolers

Pros: Powerful and quiet at the same time.
4pin connection works great. During lite use you barely hear it. Not that loud when system is under load.
Decent price for the quality.

Cons: Mounting screws are very tight

Other Thoughts: Definitely a good choice for cases lacking good ventilation

1 out of 5 eggsWorked good for 1 month

This review is from: Cooler Master Blade Master 92 - Sleeve Bearing 92mm PWM Cooling Fan for Computer Cases and CPU Coolers

Pros: Pushes a lot of air
Quiet unless it's on max

Cons: Started making a loud annoying clicking/grinding noise about 1 month after I bought it.
Sounds like a jet turbine on max speed.
The potential of having to deal with CoolerMaster's support system.

Other Thoughts: It started having problems just after the deadline for the newegg return period, so I've had the misfortune of dealing with the CoolerMaster support system. They told me that I have to pay for the shipping to send them the fan, which no one in their right mind is going to pay 10 dollar shipping on a fan when you can just straight up order a brand new one for 1 dollar more and get it many days sooner. Also they told me that I would have to send them the fan before they sent me one, which would seriously compromise the cooling of my processor considering I'm heavily overclocked and the fan isn't completely broke just incredibly annoying. I would strongly recommend you look into alternatives to any CoolerMaster product, it's not worth dealing with their support system. Right now I cant even login to their website.

5 out of 5 eggsIt is still running

This review is from: Cooler Master Blade Master 92 - Sleeve Bearing 92mm PWM Cooling Fan for Computer Cases and CPU Coolers

Pros: Had this running for well over a year
No problems at all with it
when it kicks into top RPM it you can hear it - but that is with all fans
nothing major as it is more air movement noise than anything
So far - works great and moves all the air I need for my tower

Cons: none

5 out of 5 eggsCOOLER MASTER R4-BM9S-28PK-R0

This review is from: Cooler Master Blade Master 92 - Sleeve Bearing 92mm PWM Cooling Fan for Computer Cases and CPU Coolers

Pros: Works great! Moves air through the case & is quiet enough for me.

Cons: Running 24/7 for a year & none noted.

Other Thoughts: Drop in replacement for a failing case fan on an old HP unit. Installed it, plugged it in to the motherboard, closed the case, & fired it up. Has been running since without any trouble.

2 out of 5 eggsNot impressed

This review is from: Cooler Master Blade Master 92 - Sleeve Bearing 92mm PWM Cooling Fan for Computer Cases and CPU Coolers

Pros: Seemed fine for some time. It's a fan. Replacement of OEM fan in home-built shuttle pc for my parents.

Cons: The bearing is a screaming banshee now after only two years' moderate use (no gaming or intensive app usage) and fan speed has been voltage-controlled through the BIOS, so it's not like it was sitting at 100% all the time.

Other Thoughts: Compare this piece of trash to the old 120mm Zalman CPU fan/heatsink my buddy FOUND IN A FREE PILE ON THE STREET during one of the e-waste collection days. I've been using THAT thing on my daily-used LGA 775-based rig for going on 4-5 years now. Locked at max speed. Every day. For gaming. Shame on you, Coolermaster.

Manufacturer Response:
