Cooler Master's RR-920-N520-GP "Hyper N520" combines a stylish, elegant design with silent operation and a brilliant cooling solution. Designed to cool the full range of current Intel Socket LGA 1366, 775 and AMD Socket (AM3/AM2+/AM2) processors, it does so with gusto. It features a unique split fin design that puts more surface area within the space cooled by over 43 CFM of airflow from the dual 92mm fans.

Pros: Inexpensive,fits in my mATX case,does what it should do.

Cons: None so far,instruction manual is small and difficult to just what holes you need to put the screws through.

Other Thoughts: Coolermaster is the way to go.

Pros: Fairly easy to install, option to add another 80mm fan to act as exhaust.

Cons: The four pins seem a bit flimsy. It took quite a bit of strength to secure it in. Compare to the stock heat sink, it's more difficult to install this cooler.

Other Thoughts: I installed this on my i5-3470 Ivy Bridge CPU as part of a new build. The cooler came with thermal paste. I applied a thin layer and start to stress test the CPU for a few days. The i5 was 85C under load and idles at 40C. I thought that was a bit high, so I swap this cooler with the stock heat sink (Lucky I kept it around) And the temperature dropped to 55C under 100% load and idles at 34C.

I will be returning this and use the stock heat sink for now. I suspect that due to the quality of the four legs, the heat sink was not properly seated on the CPU, which caused it to not work properly.

Pros: This thing works great for my son's budget gaming build. I'm using it on an i5 4430 in a Cooler Master Elite 430 with side, front and rear fans installed, it idles at 28C to 32C and it barely touched up to 56C during 3DMark Firestrike. While playing Hawken it touched 50C a few times but hung around mid to late 40s most of the time. Installation was very simple compared to the last cooler I installed(Cooler Master V8), It uses the push pin style, no backplate. Also I used the included thermal paste and it seems to work just fine.

Cons: none....well the thermal paste was a little waterey when I first applied it. I guess it seperated a bit. After cleaning off the cpu the next application came out as it should....no big deal....

Other Thoughts: I highly recommend this cooler for a budget build upgrade. I hate the stock coolers intel includes with their CPUs. I wish they would work out a deal with Cooler Master and include these instead or not include one at all and knock off $10 to $15....

Pros: Solidly built with all the hardware needed for installation.

Cons: Installation instructions should have included a magnifying glass due to the small print

Other Thoughts: Installation went fairly smoothly, although I had to remove a couple of RAM modules in order to get the motherboard pins solidly installed. Makes a little more noise than the previous stock cooler, but keeps the CPU running at a constant 33 degrees Celsius.

Pros: very cheap and fan mounts with simple clips to the heatsink

Cons: poor instructions and mounting arms are not labelled logically with no reference to which way they go in the instructions.

Other Thoughts: Unfortunately, the directions in the packaging are one of the worst I have seen in quite some time.
You need to be sure that when you mount the metal "arms" to the heatsink that you use the correct holes. I believe that on each arm there are 2 "sets" of holes. I say "sets" because instead of just a simple hole it is actually a large almost oval hole that is in fact 2 holes drilled together with one overlapping the other like an organic cell about to split into 2.
You also need to make sure that you have the 4 arms in the correct spots as I believe they were very confusing with 2 saying left and 2 saying right which was not logically correct.
Also, when you hold up the heatsink assembly as shown in the picture but will all the "arms" attached so it is ready to mount, the small arm assembly should curve downwards towards the mounting pegs. ie, the outer ends of the X should be lower then where they meet the heatsink. This shouldn't be a problem as the mounting clips/pegs are attached at the factory but maybe they made a mistake.

idle temps 37c on an i7-2600

the heatpipes are not flush with the mounting plate so I do not believe you are getting clean contact so the fan has to work VERY hard when at high CPU usage with temps hitting 80c+

SUMMARY - spend $10-20 more and get a heatsink with a better flush baseplate tomore effectively pull heat away from the CPU

Pros: Great size, keeps processor cool.

Cons: Directions aren't great. There are two spots for the screws to go in. I had to bring them out to make it actually fit.

Other Thoughts: Have better instructions and make a youtube video.
