4 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: Cooler Master SickleFlow 120 - Sleeve Bearing 120mm Green LED Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators

Pros: Love the green LED and can go at a very high RPM 4000
Easy to screw in

Cons: Loud at 1500RPM or higher and can only go to 1080RPM lowest still somewhat loud well not really

Other Thoughts: Cool green fan if you can take the noise of it at 1080rpm sound is like a 3/10 at 1080rpm

4 out of 5 eggsCooler Master SickleFlow 120

This review is from: Cooler Master SickleFlow 120 - Sleeve Bearing 120mm Green LED Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators

Pros: + Cheap
+ Beautiful LED's if you are into LED fans

Cons: - My only con is an uncertainty, so check out the other thoughts.

Other Thoughts: The fan at max power is rather loud. Not like vacuum cleaner loud, but definitely louder than a laptop fan. This wouldn't be a problem if I could control one of the fans that I bought. One works perfectly. I can move the speed up or down whenever I want either from the BIOS or Speedfan software. The other, on the other hand, can't be controlled. I've plugged it into two separate ports on my mobo (Chassis Fan 1 and Power Fan 1), yet neither give me the access I need to shut it up. So it is either that the ports on my mobo don't work correctly (unlikely that 2 ports wouldn't work correctly), or that the fan I received cannot go below its max setting (also unlikely, as the motherboard should be the one limiting the amount of electricity going to the fan, not the fan limiting the electricity it draws). What I find even more bizarre is that my BIOS screen detects it (I have 3 Chassis fans plugged in and 1 CPU fan, and my BIOS will display 4 fans plugged in), and I can change the levels of the fan there, but it won't change after saving changes and booting up Windows. Granted this fan is keeping the system at about 30 degrees Celsius, but if I want to keep it on all night to keep a server running, I barely get any sleep. I'm not talking about a heavy duty server, just a Minecraft server, but still I need internet connection, which doesn't exist in a sleep state or a powered off state. I could always unplug the fan before I sleep, but, even though it's not that hard, I always run the risk of burning my hand on the mobo's 990FX chip. And I shouldn't have to unplug the fan in the first place. If anyone else owns the ASRock 990FX Extreme6 AM3+ mobo, they can either verify or deny that it is the mobo's fault.

4 out of 5 eggsWorth it for the price

This review is from: Cooler Master SickleFlow 120 - Sleeve Bearing 120mm Green LED Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators

Pros: Depending the on speed your running them at, they can be whisper quiet or moderately loud. They do run smoothly and you can't beat the price.

Cons: Well I bought 4 roughly a week ago and 3 work great but the fourth one maked a rattling noise. Would like a replacement fan. I will keep the rating at four until after the customer service experience.

5 out of 5 eggsNeed air, you got air!

This review is from: Cooler Master SickleFlow 120 - Sleeve Bearing 120mm Green LED Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators

Pros: I purchased these for three reasons, the amazing reviews, the CFM, and they go with the color scheme I have. Combine these with a fan controller and these are BEAST. I am actually looking for a new case and, if I can, I plan to have a case that can house 1-3 more of these. Again they are amazing and push air at 60% utilization and even more at 100%.

Cons: They push more air than my girlfriend.

4 out of 5 eggsQuiet Fan, lasted a year and a half

This review is from: Cooler Master SickleFlow 120 - Sleeve Bearing 120mm Green LED Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators

Pros: It's a quiet fan, and moves a lot of air.

Cons: Died after a year and 4 months. Fans usually have a life expectancy of 2.5 to 5 years.

Other Thoughts: I'll probably buy again.

4 out of 5 eggsdecent fans,

This review is from: Cooler Master SickleFlow 120 - Sleeve Bearing 120mm Green LED Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators

Pros: good fans cheap moves plenty of air.

Cons: they rattle if they are upside down. I have 2 of these in my in-win ironclad case and they are upside down to pull air out of the top of the case, and they rattle when they are turned on and takes about 10 minutes for them to stop.

Other Thoughts: and yes I even have the green modright fan silencers installed between the fan's and case.

3 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: Cooler Master SickleFlow 120 - Sleeve Bearing 120mm Green LED Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators

Pros: Looks very cool

Cons: See below

Other Thoughts: So this fan looks great and all, but the one I got, for whatever reason, is extremely noisy. I thought grabbing a fan controller would help, but running it at lower voltages causes it to make this annoying whirring sound. It's either that or it sounds like a large oscillating fan, the sort you have in your bedroom. TL;DR: Don't buy it for a silent rig.

5 out of 5 eggsI'm a fan

This review is from: Cooler Master SickleFlow 120 - Sleeve Bearing 120mm Green LED Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators

Pros: Easy, very very easy to install. I was able to plug it directly into my motherboard to take advantage of the autofan functions run by CMOS. Came with four screws, has four holes. This may not seem significant, but you'd be surprised.
Okay, now for the technical...
Using a DIY PC "Solar" atx mid case
EVGA 600w B PSU
EVGA 790i FTW sli motherboard
GTX 550ti FPB x 2 in SLI
Freezer Pro 7 CPU cooler
Left 1 of 2 included fans in the case, replaced the exhaust fan with the Sickleflow.
The air movement seems to have DOUBLED. My case is up on my desk, away from the evil dust bunnies on the floor. The fan is actually strong enough to move the tags on my cables behind the case, and the curtain over the window that it's next to. Not a lot mind you, but I can SEE visible sign of airflow, whereas before I had not. The green LEDs are a radioactive green shade, very nice and bright. I actually had a dual cathode kit in my case, and had to move one of the tubes away from the fan. (Mostly to evenly distribute light and avoid intensely bright spots) Great fan, great price.

Cons: I can't really think of any. Maybe an arrow on the housing to indicate direction of wind flow? I didn't really look to see if it had one though.
