3 out of 5 eggsOk

This review is from: Cooler Master SickleFlow 120 - Sleeve Bearing 120mm Red LED Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators

Pros: Looks cool. Not too bright. Pulls some good air. Inexpensive

Cons: Comes with a 3-pin connector - can't control it...only runs at 2000 RPM with no control

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,

We sincerely apologize for the trouble you had with our fan. The fan in question requires it be connected to a sys fan 3 pin connector on your motherboard. Once connected, you then use the motherboard's bios to set a fan profile for control of the fan. If you wish to get more help regarding this, please contact us so we can be of assistance.

Respectfully,

CMUSA Support.

3 out of 5 eggsDecent Product

This review is from: Cooler Master SickleFlow 120 - Sleeve Bearing 120mm Red LED Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators

Pros: - Moves decent amount of air.
- Red LED light.

Cons: - Not PWM
- Doesn't seem like high quality build
- Started to make slight rattle after a year or so.

Other Thoughts: Nothing really much say about this fan, it's okay I suppose moves decent amount of air. However it did started to make a slight rattle noise after a year, make sure to clean or blow the dust of the blades which could also be the problem. The fan looks cheaply made as well.

I moved on to COUGAR fans and honestly they are far more superior all around such as built quality they seem more sturdy, PWM feature, and affordable price.

5 out of 5 eggsRun Quiet, Look Great

This review is from: Cooler Master SickleFlow 120 - Sleeve Bearing 120mm Red LED Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators

Pros: Push a lot of air
Run quiet
Red LEDs!

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: My latest ultimate gaming rig build features a red motif, so these CoolerMaster red LED 120mm fans were a natural choice. I am really impressed with the lack of noise and the amount of air they push at normal running RPMs. CoolerMaster isn't kidding when they bill these as "Silent" fans.

Bottom Line:
A great 120mm fan at a ridiculously low price point that pushes a ton of air in almost complete silence while putting off a sultry red glow. Gaming PC Nirvana!

3 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: Cooler Master SickleFlow 120 - Sleeve Bearing 120mm Red LED Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators

Pros: Works great

Cons: If you're trying to illuminate your system with this fan, it's not bright whatsoever. It'll barely light up the region 2 inches from it.

5 out of 5 eggsReview:Cooler Master SickleFlow 120 - Sleeve Bearing 120mm Red LED Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators

This review is from: Cooler Master SickleFlow 120 - Sleeve Bearing 120mm Red LED Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators

Pros: - relatively cheap
- great airflow
- generally quiet

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: sometimes a fan will rattle or make a slight noise... more times than not, it is related to the vibrations from the fan affecting the sheet metal on the computer case... Sometimes putting something inbetween the fan and computer case when mounting can help "buffer" the vibrations though. Not really the fan's fault!

3 out of 5 eggsNoisy fans

This review is from: Cooler Master SickleFlow 120 - Sleeve Bearing 120mm Red LED Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators

Pros: Turns on and off okay. Lights look neat.

Cons: These fans rattle, buzz and vibrate. I bought 4 of them and each one is doing the same thing. The round area on the back of the motor vibrates against something under the cover. I had to find a way to apply constant pressure against it to make it quit.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,

We sincerely apologize for the trouble you are having with our fan/s. Based on the review, the fans should be replaced under warranty coverage. Would you be able to contact us so we can replace them and make this right?

Respectfully,

4 out of 5 eggsDecent fan

This review is from: Cooler Master SickleFlow 120 - Sleeve Bearing 120mm Red LED Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators

Pros: -Non-obnoxious LED
-Fairly quiet, especially when using a fan controller or motherboard fan throttling
-Decent price
-Black frame with red LED's match a red/black theme perfectly
-Moves a good amount of air

Cons: -The sleeve bearing isn't so long life as they claim, bearing started dying and became noisy in under 2yrs
-Bearing is sealed with plastic, no rubber cap like most fans so there's no way to drop some SAE-20 oil in it to extend life.
-Not quiet at full power, has noticeable air turbulence noise. needs fan throttling if you're going for silence.

Other Thoughts: Kinda disappointed the bearing wore out and became noisy in less than 2 years, and even more disappointed that it has a plastic sealed bearing under the rear sticker so you can't even oil it (most fans have a rubber cap). For the price these are great fans, but you get what you pay for. Don't expect these to last forever. I run my computer 24/7 though.
