2 out of 5 eggsUnbearable noise

This review is from: Cooler Master SickleFlow 120 - Sleeve Bearing 120mm Red LED Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators

Pros: High air flow

Cons: There is absolutely nothing silent about this fan. The noise it makes is a whining that is unbearable. Keep looking if you want a "silent fan". I'm returning it.

Other Thoughts: Not recommended.

5 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: Cooler Master SickleFlow 120 - Sleeve Bearing 120mm Red LED Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators

Pros: Overall great fans they push a decent amount of air, aesthetically pleasing, LED's are not on the bright side but they do just fine, the cables are long so you shouldn't have trouble reaching the mobo

Cons: none so far

Other Thoughts: Do mount them securely or they will squeak

1 out of 5 eggsHad great air flow until the coil whine started.

This review is from: Cooler Master SickleFlow 120 - Sleeve Bearing 120mm Red LED Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators

Pros: - Decent airflow
-looks good

Cons: -Terrible chirping coil whine

Other Thoughts: Had bought 3 of these a couple months ago and they were great until a few weeks ago when all three fans started to slowly make chirping coil whine sounds. Currently, it's intolerable

4 out of 5 eggsOverall great product

This review is from: Cooler Master SickleFlow 120 - Sleeve Bearing 120mm Red LED Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators

Pros: Lots and lots of air flow being pushed with these fans.

Cons: Kind of loud fans. Once you install it, you can't really move it. For instance, you can't go from horizontal to vertical as my ball bearings now get loud if i switch it. Do not use this item as an intake fan if you have mesh over your fan. Gets very loud

5 out of 5 eggsThis thing is SICK..!!

This review is from: Cooler Master SickleFlow 120 - Sleeve Bearing 120mm Red LED Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators

Pros: Great looking and you know the rest..! I got this as my secondary CPU Fan for my Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan. It actually performs much better than the one that came with my Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan. I AM THINKING ABOUT BUYING A BUNCH OF THESE AND REPLACING ALL MY 120 mm fans.

Cons: Can't think of any, really..!

Other Thoughts: Don't be a loser... GIRLS dig it..!!

2 out of 5 eggsGrinding sound

This review is from: Cooler Master SickleFlow 120 - Sleeve Bearing 120mm Red LED Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators

Pros: red light?; moves air well

Cons: sharp blades - I've cut myself twice working around the fan; makes grinding noise only months after purchase

Other Thoughts: Had this 120mm fan for a while - it's mounted in a Sentey case (Classic series) facing upward - blowing air upward through the top of the case. Here's the thing - after maybe less than 6 months, it started making a grinding noise. It happens upon bootup and once the unit's warmed up within 6-10 minutes, the noise stops...

Sooooo annoying... Seems to me cheap construction.. Once it fails on me completely, I'll take it apart to see what it's made of... (probably plastic bearings) we'll see

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Fans!!!

This review is from: Cooler Master SickleFlow 120 - Sleeve Bearing 120mm Red LED Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators

Pros: -They move a lot of air, quietly.
-Nice soft red LED.
-Can be mounted in any orientation.

Cons: -none

Other Thoughts: I bought 5 of these fans over a year and a half ago. One just now gave out on me. Bought another one to replace it. The other 4 are still going strong. These are great fans for the price. I would definitely recommend them.

4 out of 5 eggs2 Year update

This review is from: Cooler Master SickleFlow 120 - Sleeve Bearing 120mm Red LED Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators

Pros: 3 pin is a big plus
moves a ton of air
static pressure optimized

Cons: SLEEVE bearing
very loud at full speed (1900-2090 rpm)

Other Thoughts: This fan works fine as long as you DO NOT mount it horizontally. The people complaining about the fan making noise is more than likely attributed to improper mounting orientation. I have owned 5 of these fans for about 2 years and only 2 of them failed as I had 2 exhausting air our the top of the case and that's when I did my research and found out that SLEEVE bearing fans should not be mounted horizontally. I now have 2 as INTAKE in the front of the case and 1 Exhaust at the rear of the case along side the I/O shield. 3 ball bearing fans at the top of case exhausting through 360mm radiator. The 2 intake Sickleflows are running at 60%(1200 rpm atm) through a filter while the others are at 40%. Fairly quiet at UNDER 60%. Anything higher WILL be LOUD!!! Please research fan bearing types before purchasing for you case as you will want best price per buck. Orientation DOES MATTER for SLEEVE bearing fans!!!

3 out of 5 eggs"Silent" - Nope

This review is from: Cooler Master SickleFlow 120 - Sleeve Bearing 120mm Red LED Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators

Pros: -Push a lot of air through the case
-Red LEDs look nice
-Comes with 3-pin to Molex adapter (I didn't need it but other may)

Cons: -Very loud!

Other Thoughts: The noise level of these fans was absurd. It went from me barely being able to hear my computer from the other side of my room, to now I can hear it down the hall through my door. I made sure it wasn't a lose mounting, tried different areas in the case, etc. Nothing helped. These fans are just really, really loud. But they get the job done. I'll keep them, but I'm replacing them with something much quieter.
