Cooler Master's RR-920-N520-GP "Hyper N520" combines a stylish, elegant design with silent operation and a brilliant cooling solution. Designed to cool the full range of current Intel Socket LGA 1366, 775 and AMD Socket (AM3/AM2+/AM2) processors, it does so with gusto. It features a unique split fin design that puts more surface area within the space cooled by over 43 CFM of airflow from the dual 92mm fans.

A selection of mounting components allow the user to obtain the optimal installation of the cooler to the motherboard so that the cooler's copper base is snug against the CPU's heat spreader. Five 6mm U-shaped copper heat pipes draw heat away from the processor up to the array of aluminum convection fins which they support. The heat is dispersed at a silent 19 dBA by the fan which spins on long-lasting sleeved bearings.

  • newegg Superior Heat Dissipation and Cooling Performance The copper base and 4 copper heatpipes conduct heat fast; high-density aluminum fins maximize heat dissipation area, plus dual 92mm, 1800RPM sleeve bearing fan to deliver optimal cooling performance.
  • newegg Universal Socket Compatibility The Cooler Master RR-920-N520-GP features broad compatibility with AMD socket 754, 939, 940, and AM2 platforms, as well as the Intel LGA 775 and 1366 platform.

Cooler Master’s Hyper TX series has evolved with requirements of mainstream CPUs. The introduction of Hyper TX3 marks another milestone with Cooler Master's first-ever full compatibility - Intel LGA 1156 socket. The Hyper TX3 also brings back the "original" direct contact heat-pipe design from Cooler Master.

  • newegg Superior Heat Dissipation The Cooler Master Hyper TX3 features "heatpipe direct contact" technology for efficient heat conduction, plus high-density aluminum fins for maximum heat dissipation. The 92mm fan runs efficiently to deliver unparalleled cooling performance.
  • newegg Expandable for a Second Fan Add a 2nd cooling fan (optional) to the Cooler Master Hyper TX3 to achieve the best possible cooling performance!
  • newegg PWM Function The PWM function automatically adjusts fan speeds according to the CPU temperature for efficient cooling and minimized fan noise.
  • newegg Universal Socket Compatibility The Cooler Master Hyper TX3 features broad compatibility with AMD socket 754, 939, 940, and AM2 platforms, as well as Intel LGA 775 and 1156 platforms.

Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO CPU Cooler

Unmatched performance for the value, these are the tenants that guided Cooler Master engineers when designing the Hyper 212 EVO. Patented Continuous Direct Contact (CDC) technology ensures that the heat pipes are free of barriers while drawing heat away from the processor. A PWM fan ensures that fan speed can be intelligently controlled to ensure that it only speeds up when more cooling is necessary.

5 out of 5 eggsBest air cooler.

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan

Pros: Installation fairly easy, Massive cooler, keeps idle speeds at or below 30C (with ambient temp of 27C) Quiet at 65% and below

Cons: Clearence! If you have a small form factor case, Good luck! When people say that this cooler is massive, they aint kidding. It is also moderately noisy at above 65% power. Nothing worth taking an egg off for.

Other Thoughts: System Specifications:
AMD A10-5800K APU 3.8 GHz Quad Core(4.2 Turbo)iGPU Stock @ 800Mhz
(OC'd @ 4.2GHz and iGPU @ 844MHz with 1.36V)

GSkill Ripjaw 1600MHz 4GB (Clocked @ 1623MHz 1.5v)
SanDisk 128GB SSD
Seagate Barracuda 360GB HDD
Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO CPU Cooler
MSI A55M-E33 MoBo
Thermaltake TR2-430 PSU
Raidmax Helios ATX-819WB case

My case barely has enough room for this cooler. It has less than a millimeter of clearence from the top of my ram modules. And my side panel about the same. But it's worth cramming it in for the price and the amount of cooling power this has! A must buy for anyone with an AMD cpu/apu and looking for an OEM cooler replacement!

5 out of 5 eggsValue priced / High performance

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan

Pros: Fan far less noisey and provided a smoother contact surface from previous versions. Quiet cooling on i7-4790k @ 4.8 = 35c idle / 55c max load.

Cons: Tall. Make sure it fits in you case. Might block 1st memory slot on some motherboards (Gigabyte G1.GA Sniper z97 it fits fine). Check YouTube for installation guide for your socket, as the instructions povided aren't particularly clear.

Other Thoughts: Highly recommend, as you aren't going to get any better cooling in this price range or even higher.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat upgrade from stock

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan

Pros: Since installing, my CPU stays under 50'C at all times. Great (and inexpensive) upgrade from stock CPU fans.

Cons: Instructions can be a little confusing, since it is made to fit so many socket types... But just read carefully.

Other Thoughts: Purchased this for my i5-2500k.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat and quite fan

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan

Pros: Very quite. I had the default cooler for the AMD Phanom 1090T, and it was noisy as hell.

I switched it with this cooler and now I barely hear it.
Great product, though you must read the installation instructions carefully for smooth installation.

Cons: Non so far

3 out of 5 eggsCheap

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan

Pros: Comes with mounting brackets for everything from a ford pinto radiator to the space shuttle if you can figure out how to get them to work. with it standing so tall it will clear the RAM but it should have a blinking red light on it just incase low flying aircraft are in the area.

Cons: I am not sure what else to say, It was an affordable cooling fan for the AMD FX9370. Other reviews recommended it so I bought it. I found that the mounting system consist of several bags full of odd shaped clips and brackets for various applications, the instructions if you want to call them that were basic drawings of the cooler and one of the several brackets with a basic 2D drawing of where it goes along with 3 word sentences such as "attach back plate" OK well what back plate? what screws do I use? how does it go on? I found the instructions to be a joke and figured it out on my own after 15 minutes or so of scratching my head. The heatsink aside from being as tall as the space needle is sturdy and well built but I think they made it much taller than it needs to be since the heatpipes extend out about 3-4 inches before it goes into the heatsink. The fan that it comes with is a joke, It looks like a cheap fan you would find in a bin at fr-ys for 2 bucks and I have a big issue trusting a cheaply made cooling fan to cool my $250 processor. It keeps my CPU at about 47 degrees C at idle but I wonder how it will hold up over time.

Other Thoughts: I expected better quality from Coolermaster.

1 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan

Pros: None

Cons: Same temps as my Intel Stock fan.
Very Loose even when tightened. I don't even think it touches the die at all. The fan is so slow it can;t even hit the minimum 400 RPM i had to set in the BIOS for all the CPU fan error s

Other Thoughts: I got this from a PC shop a few months back and I am trying to work it out now...."trying"
I thought maybe it was my CPU and MB and I was tweaking things trying to lower temps. then I just stuck th intel one back on and pretty much get the same temps if not lower. I think all the good reviews for the Hyper 212 are plants

1 out of 5 eggsCustomer Service ?

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan

Pros: Beats stock cooler and is cheap.

Cons: Customer Service is a joke. Two year warranty highly questionable. I will no longer support a company that doesn't honor their "two year warranty".

Other Thoughts: Go Nocuta, you get what you pay for. Noctua stands by their products. Noctua has to translate your english email and still responds faster than CM.
