5 out of 5 eggsRead This!!!

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan

Pros: I love the 212 series of coolers. I've had one since they came out with the direct contact heat pipes. Since then, they came out with the EVO, which i believe has a faster & quieter fan and smoother contact area. I have since lapped the bottom of my 212 EVO and using a 5820k, don't see temps over 40*C in idle.

Solid heatsink fins and quiet 4-pin fan.

Cons: None. Good cheap cpu cooler.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Cooler for Price!

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan

Pros: This cooler fits easily in my Phanteks Ethoos Pro with 2 inches of clearance of side panel. My 15-4690K OC'ed to 4.4 Ghz at 1.24 volts runs at 70 degrees Celsius under full load on stress test. Plenty cool enough. The fan is very quiet and lines up nicely with my 140mm exhaust fan.

Cons: Not a con really since the cooler like all air coolers are large, covers the closest DIMM. Low profile RAM will still fit in slot. I am using PNY XLR 1866mhz Cas10 and if I were to buy additional ram, it would fit no problem. If you have trident or something with tall heat sinks than this would be a problem.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect choice

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan

Pros: Good cooling
nice clean look
easy setup
Worked very good with my Fx-8350 and Work like a charm with my 4790k

Cons: always been hard to add the 1 first memory stick out of 4 without removing heatsink fan.
have to slide the front fan 1 centimeter out to fit 4 memory stick in same time, either on z97x-gaming 5 , m5a97 R2.0 , m5a97 Le.
can't say for other motherboard

Other Thoughts: ( sorry for bad english )

5 out of 5 eggsDream temps.

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan

Pros: -High quality.
-Excellent cooling.
-Good price.

Cons: -Bulky (for good reason)
~Doesn't leave much room for my DIMM 1 RAM slot, they are touching one another but not a huge problem.

Other Thoughts: Keeps my AMD FX 8350 8-Core 4.0GHz CPU at idle around 25 degrees Celsius, and while playing GTA V on ultra settings, this thing keeps me at around 35 Celsius (using Arctic Silver 5 compound) AMAZING cooling.

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan

Pros: This cooler is quiet and works great.

Cons: It's big and barely lets me fit my RAM into their slots.

Other Thoughts: It works perfectly, it's just a little bit too big.

5 out of 5 eggsawesome cooler

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan

Pros: 20 degree C drop in temps imidiately, running i5 4690k (stock clock settings) was running prime95 on small fft. and only hit 64 degrees C. setup was relatively simple, having only done this once before for a friend.shipped in 3 days. w/ free shipping thank you Newegg. cleared my hyperx memory but not by much.

Cons: none that i can see,

Other Thoughts: make sure you have room for this cooler. memory clearance. and case width should be on your mind.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Cheap Cooler You Can Buy

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan

Pros: I have bought two of these coolers, I had one for about 4 months and another one for about 3 weeks. I am very happy with the cooling I get from them. I have a i5 4690k @4.1GHz with 1.13v and the temp is usually about 65 degrees. on my FX 8320 the temp was a about 55 degrees at stock speeds. The fan included is pretty quite too.

Cons: After you install it you can still twist it back and forth, I guess it doesn't really matter than much though.

4 out of 5 eggsGood performance at a great price point

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan

Pros: Cost
Does a decent job of cooling on air.
Backing Plate

Cons: "Swivels" a little bit after install.

Other Thoughts: I had an easier time installing than many of the other reviews here. I did take my time and make sure everything was correct as I went through the steps in the directions which are basically a few drawings. After screwing it down to the stand-offs I noticed that the heat sink pivoted a little bit in the wet thermal paste. I turned the screw in the center of the x-brace a partial turn but it didn't make any difference. I lined it up so the fan draws air directly from the rear intake fan on a Cooler Master Storm Enforcer Case. My i7-4790K (no overclock) runs at ~34C idle and 50C to 60C while gaming. Highest temp I've logged has been 65C while running my new build through some testing.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Air Cooler for the Price

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan

Pros: Great temps. Currently keeping an FX-6300 OC'd to 4.4 stable at 38C Idle, 60C 100% load with intel burn test.

Allows for push pull, which I am running.

Cons: I do not have low profile ram, and in my closest slot on an ATX motherboard, it's practically touching. If I go to remove that ram stick, I'll have to remove this cooler.

Kind of a pain to install on AM+3 for first time with such a big cooler. Though taking the time to make sure you do it right is important.

Other Thoughts: Won't knock an egg for the ram clearance, because if I measured all the dimensions I would have got low-profile ram. Excellent cooling especially for the $24.99 or so it cost.
