4 out of 5 eggsAt least a billion times better than stock

Pros: Bought this to replace the stock cooler on my 3.6 gHz AMD Phenom II.
I have been using the stock cooler for about 2 years now and know through Core Temp what my temps are. I generally idle at 33 degrees C, and game in the mid 50's.
With this new cooler, my idle temps are around 27 degrees, and gaming rarely exceeds 44 C.

The best part of all that? It's silent. I haven't really heard this fan spool up yet (because it's so efficient at cooling), but it doesn't whine and squeal like my old cooler, and that alone makes this awesome.

Installation was super easy.

Cons: I have a love-hate relationship with the mount.
On the one hand, it was super easy and intuitive. Installation was less than 5 minutes.

On the other hand, it allows a fair bit of play when fully installed. The cooler is very secure, but can still rotate atop the processor if you try to wiggle it. I don't know that it's necessarily a big deal because it's a desktop, but if I were transporting this computer all over the place for LAN parties, it might make me a bit nervous.

Other Thoughts: All-in-all, this is a wonderful heatsink for the price and I would highly recommend it. I've always been a Cooler Master fanboy, and this combo keeps it that way.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazin'

Pros: Best graphics card I've owned to date! Runs any game at max settings like butter. Tears through BF3 at Ultra without breaking a sweat. Very easy installation. Cool design.

Cons: Bought the card then a week later they decided to add Crysis 3 into the bundle :( not docking a egg off though.

5 out of 5 eggsVery great unit for the price.

Pros: Keep in mind, I bought this in order to overclock my i7 3770k. So I went from stock heatsink/clocks to this cooler and 4.4ghz.

-Very affordable. $37.99 at the time of this review.

-Works on a lot of cpu platforms. Both AMD and Intel.

-Great cooling. 30 c idle - 50-60 c under load on 4.4ghz i7 3770k.

-Easy to install.

Cons: None so far. Works great.

Other Thoughts: Not sure if this is a con, but the thermal paste that was shipped with it was very thin. Presumably from being hot and shipped during the summer.

I used what came with it, and my temps were just a tiny bit jumpy. So I reprepared my cpu and remounted it with some arctic 5. So far I seem to be getting much more stable temps.

Again, this may not be a problem with the paste itself, rather the heat it takes while being shipped. Probably will work better once it cools off.

3 out of 5 eggsVery big

Pros: Good quality Heatsink/Fan. Runs well, Keeps cool. Very nice melted copper surface.

Cons: Bigger then I expected. It seemed like I measured my case to have plenty of room but I still had to pull the side fan from the case. Using an apevia x-dreamer 4, you must have the windowed case and no side fan in order for it to fit. It literally has maybe 2mm between popped out window and heatsink (if it were a flat side panel it wouldnt fit). So I had to replace my 200mm with a 120 on the side and leave one fan spot open.

My main issue though is the Mount itself. The backing plate is not very good the one that came stock with my MSI board was more heavy duty but of course the screws dont fit stock backing plates. The real problem is the adjustable multiple use clamp they use to clamp it down. I had to bend the thing just to make it reach on a am3+ cpu. The threads are barely threaded in and the heatsink swivels a little bit because of the width of the post the mount holds onto being to thin. So it rotates maybe 2-3 degrees each direction. Not much but I have never seen a heatsink that swivels even a little bit. Makes me a little worried. Getting the mount to line up with the risers is extremely difficult. Maybe its just my motherboard but this thing was a pain to install and I had the mobo completely out.

Other Thoughts: Measure your case thoroughly! This thing is big big! Im sure its good for a full size case but will be a super tight fit in most mid towers.

All in all I say its worth the money but I sure hope I dont have to pull the heatsink anytime soon

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Good cuts and mold work on the heatsink. Included fan snaps on firmly and has anti-vibration strips on the inside to press against the heatsink. Good heat dissipation.

Cons: Included instructions are pretty bad. I installed on an AMD 965, socket AM3, and I ended up searching up user-written instructions on another computer.

Other Thoughts: Extremely tall design. Do not get if you have a thin case and expect to close the case.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Excellent cooler, I have this in a push/pull and Arctic Silver 5 TIM. I am able to get an Intel I5 3570K Overclocked to 4.7 GHz 1.248v with a max temp of 86c with Inteburn. Never goes about 60c in anything I run outside of benchmarks. By far the BEST bang for the buck

Cons: The mounting bracket was kinda weird to install. It actually has a pivot point in the middle thus allowing the final mounting position of the heatsink to still be able to swivel, this hasn't affected my temps but I am a bit concerned with this setup.

2 out of 5 eggsThis thing has GOOD INTENTIONS, but that is where it ENDS....

Pros: Seems to be a wonderful design Heat Pipe Cooler allowing two 120mm fans if you choose, except you have to buy the SECOND FAN. The improvement of moving the Heat Pipes together making an almost all copper contact with the CPU was a wonderful improvement over the last model. I can not say this enough and I read it constantly in review, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR and IF SOMETHING SEEMS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, IT PROBABLY IS.

Cons: You have to pull each fan, if using two, to access the screws to remove the cooling unit from the MB. The screw pins and nuts seemed stripped as I had to force each one a few times before I could add it to the md. The screw pins are sort of elongated as are the holes they go through to act as a catch so that you can tighten the nut onto the screw pin, except it is an EPIC FAIL as you end up spinning the screw pin anyways as you attempt to tighten it to the MB. The fins barely clear my Sniper Memory and I mean by a HAIR, maybe less so keep in mind this unit will cover the first memory slot. Corsair Vengeance memory will not clear this unit so keep that in mind. Speaking of MEMORY make sure to INSTALL IT FIRST. At first glance it does not appear to cover the member until you attempt to install it. Needless to say this fan in cumbersome and should be the VERY LAST THING you put on the mb, and even then you will still have to remove it. It seems you have to remove it to do MOST ANYTHING and I mean ANYTHING. It blocks the 8 pin power connector so make sure that is on first. Of course there is clearance under the unit once plugged in, but no room to plug it in once the fan is installed. The cooling unit seems to twist just a bit, not enough to do harm but it could make your rig look cockeyed. The crossmember screw down thingy is COW DUNG at best and a full redesign needs to be implemented but for the price DON'T HOLD YOUR BREATH for any updates. I am not sure this unit could be updated given the design over all. I am sure it would work just fine, provided it is the VERY LAST THING YOU INSTALL short of the outside cover, but I digress...

Other Thoughts: It might be nice if they included 3 tubes of Thermal Grease considering how many times this thing needs to be pulled just to get to wires and fans. Seriously I used more Grease this evening taking this cooling unit apart, SEVERAL TIMES, than I used in the past 8 years of building computers. I like it and it seems to be priced RIGHT, but YOU DO GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR, so there is that. $29.00 bucks and free shipping makes this another PAPER WEIGHT or a throw away ITEM because it is not worth the $15.00 bucks in shipping to return it. I know the screw pins could be improved but for the money I know this unit is at the end of its LIFE CYCLE. I get the concept of the elongation but this screw is too small for that so make a better screw pin and simply provide two socket caps to tighten the unit from both sides. You get no advantage from installing this fan to use as a wonderful GRIP as you install the mb into a case because if you do, you will end up taking it apart over and over and over because it just seems to BLOCK EVERYTHING. Maybe it is just my case and mb but good, bad, or indifferent take my advice to install this cooling unit last. The PRAY your memory don't go bad... LOL... I would have given this 5 Eggs but I can not get behind this gripping unit and because of the slight twist, I know I would have taken one Egg for that anyways. It will not fit EASILY into a Mid to Smaller Case but I am sure it is a dream in a Large Case; especially if you can get to other mb items without having to take this Cooling Unit apart a gazillion times... This is by far NOT THE WORSE Cooling Unit I have installed but it does make the top 10 of Cooling Units I will not EVER USE AGAIN. I can not say this enough, you REALLY DO GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR... Enjoy...

5 out of 5 eggsEfficient inexpensive cooler

Pros: Helps achieve very reasonable temperatures while overclocking without spending a lot of money and very little maintenance.

Cons: Wish it came with two fans.

Other Thoughts: It's interesting to me that so many people want water coolers and far more expensive cooling systems when this is all you need to get the job done. I've overclocked several 3570Ks and 3770Ks and using CPUZ, HW Monitor and Intel Burn Test at high level I can easily reach 4.5Ghz with temps maxing around 80-85 at around 1.25v. Intel recommends topping out at 95 and these processors throttle at 105, so these temps are well within normal ranges under load. Expense and maintenance of a water cooling system in particular just don't make sense to me as you get diminishing returns when overclocking beyond 4.5 on Ivy Bridge processors anyway.

5 out of 5 eggsnice

Pros: Incredible. The thing was ALWAYS cold. I had no idea if it was even working.
I took the fans off of it after it started worrying me enough. And while I was trying to find out what was going on it started heating up a ton.

The thing with a push/pull fan setup was so effective at cooling that I never even noticed anything was hot in the first place.

Running a PhenomII x4 965 overclocked to just under 4Ghz with it, having NO issues.

Cons: None
