5 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan

Pros: Before and After
50~ c idle
70~c under load

50~c idle
55~c under load

I probably messed something up here since my idle temp isn't as high, but I am VERY please with the under load temps and it is quiet. My stock cooler was like a jet or hair dryer; the evo is like a soft hum in comparison.

Cons: People say it was an easy installation, but I struggled personally. It might differ person to person.

5 out of 5 eggsCooler Master Heat sink

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan

Pros: Keeps my FX 8350 under 60C at heavy load. Factory cooler that came with my CPU was pretty much a joke so this was a must have. I've been using this cooler well over a year and it has performed flawlessly !

Cons: It's Huge !! in my ATX mid case it only has just enough room to fit, and depending on witch side of the heat sink the fan is attached to, it may block some of your Dim slots

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome!

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan

Pros: A huge upgrade from my stock fan!

Cons: Not a con, but a warning to those with a smaller computer case; make sure to properly measure the case before buying, mine just barely made it through.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks!

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan

Pros: Quiet, works as advertised - keeping an AMD FX8350 vishera cool at 4.2ghz - sub-50 degrees almost always. Fits fine in my case (Enthoo pro).

Cons: Huge and heavy. Make sure your case can support it, and you can mount this on your mobo properly. Look at the measurements and weight before you buy - get something physically comparable and feel the weight in your hands, and measure it out in your case.

Other Thoughts: I could definitely see some people having issues upon delivery with this, if they didn't do their due diligence. May not fight with proper airflow in a mid or micro case.

5 out of 5 eggsEasy Install

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan

Pros: Works very well, fan is very quiet. Watched how to install the heat sink and fan on U-tube, but the instruction sheet packaged with the item was adequate in any case.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: If you've got 4 sticks of RAM with tall heatsinks you'll need to put the fan on the other side of the heat sink (pull instead of push). The fan bracket is symmetrical so you can easily put it on either side of the heat sink as needed.

5 out of 5 eggsNot bad at all

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan

Pros: I like this CPU cooler. The bracket it a little intimidating at first and the directions are kind of terrible, but its pretty intuitive. Just be patient. The performance you get for how cheap this cooler is is totally great. I have an i7-4790k overclocked to 4.6ghz at 1.146 volts with maximum stress testing temps at 69c, no hotter than 60c while gaming. Really great cooler. Would purchase another one.

Cons: It's pretty tall, so measure your case for room before purchasing. It's not a noctua or be quiet!, for 35 dollars you can't ask for more.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Nice

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan

Pros: Wonderful product. Like it a lot better than the stock fan and heat sink.

Cons: Only problem was the bolts weren't labeled so took me a few to notice which ones went where.

Other Thoughts: Thermal Past was easy to put on there, no mess, and seems to be working just fine.

5 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan

Pros: For all of the reviews stating how hard this unit was to install, I made sure to look up how-to YouTube videos prior to starting. I must say that combined with the video and the paper instructions, installation was fairly straightforward.

Temps are where they need to be, and I do like the use of screws for the fan bracket as opposed to the plastic push-pin style mounting I've seen on other PCs.

Price/performance ratio is excellent.

Cons: Fins on the radiator can bend easily - handle with care.

As everyone has already said, watch YouTube to get the install right the 1st time and you'll be fine.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat but

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan

Pros: Very cool temperatures!!

Cons: a slight pain to install, needed 2 sets of hands. The fan is also Buzzing in and out. If I put the fan hanging underneath heat sync to blow air up to my top fans to be sucked out. I recently found out if I put the fan on top of heat sync blowing down onto my graphics card, its Quiet.... Faulty Fan.

Other Thoughts: The installation could of just been my failure, but overall, I just got a faulty fan, which seems to be the only gripe on most of the comments. I deduct only 1 egg. Now, if Newegg would send me just a new cpu fan I would be a happy camper.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Except

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan

Pros: CPU Temp WAY down.

Cons: Bigger than I expected, ( my fault) and the fan is buzzing in and out. Very loud and annoying. Faulty Fan.

Other Thoughts: If They get on the ball and possibly send me a replacement CPU fan quick, everything would be great. Nothing is perfect, I just happen to be unlucky. I would still buy again!
