5 out of 5 eggsGreat For OC'in

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan

Pros: Pros - keeps Cpu Cold even when OC'in High, Ten Times Better then Stock Cooler
Like the Metal/Silver Cooler Master in Front, If you Got a Window.
Snap on fan and can add another for push pull cooling whitch im gonna end up doin

Cons: Harder to install then i thought but not bad and maybe could come with better fan but you Can just Add ANY 120mm Fan You Want that will Match Your PC..

Other Thoughts: Cant Go Wrong With This Cooler At ALL

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Cooler for the Price

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan

Pros: Price
Keeps temps low when in idle and gaming
Come with extra brackets to add push/pull configurations or replace the fan that it comes with

Cons: The only con i have is that the cooler come with a cheap fan and it will make a lot of noise when turned up. The noise i'm talking about isn't from Airflow its a vibration noise but not a big issue unless turned up too high speeds.
The is install takes some doing and the instructions are not very persisted.

Other Thoughts: Also note that the cooler is very large and will sit right next too your RAM, so make sure you buy low profile memory and it will fit perfect.

4 out of 5 eggsGood low cost cooler

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan

Pros: Cheap, works well

Cons: A pain to align and screw in the mounting bracket without shifting the cooler around

Other Thoughts: While the Hyper 212 Evo has been the king in build recommendations for a while and it has great performance to price, there are many better alternatives in the low-cost coolers nowadays.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great!

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan

Pros: Great cooling capacity

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I highly recommend this air cooler. Took my temps from nearly 60C to about 40C with prime95 on a stock clocked Phenom II x4 955BE in an AM2+ MB. Idle temps are as low as 25C. This was done with C1E, Cool n' Quiet and smart fan disabled. This is a large cooler so make sure you have enough clearance inside your case. Also, you have the option to rotate the direction of the cooler to suit your airflow direction needs, just make sure the X latch and screws are oriented correctly or the screws will not align properly as indicated in the manual.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat temperatures for the price

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan

Pros: I had a stock cpu cooler before so I don't have anything else to compare it to but the temperature difference under load was about 15C

Cons: Stock fan is just okay, I replaced mine with a Noctua NF-F12 PWM and got better temperatures even with the low noise adaptor on so I ending up spending about $50 to get the most out of this and have it be totally silent

Other Thoughts: I have a AMD FX 6200 6 Core Processor @ 4.1GHz I've run it at 100% for 15 minutes and it never broke 55C (not using stock fan)
Yes you can get lower temperatures with liquid coolers or (if you have enough room) a duel tower heatsink but you'll spend 2-3 times as much money

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan

Pros: dropped -30c compared to previous fan
(currently running 30 ~ 48)

Cons: - terrible fitting, almost thought about returning it may seem not working but i got it somehow
im not sure i can redo it again
- slight louder fan noise, but its bigger fan and its not that bad

Other Thoughts: best for price, best purchase ive done
im so happy with my decision and thank you for my friend who recommended this
installing was horrible, stuggle on fitting and i realize i force to hard to push on cpu, good thing it didnt damage

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Product

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan

Pros: Very Quiet
Good air flow on the fan
comes with a bracket for mounting 1 extra fan on the other side of the heatsink, if you need more air flow

Cons: very tall, not for use on narrow cases

Other Thoughts: using it on a i5 6600k, and it is keeping the cpu temp between 32 C to 36 C (at about 25 C room temperature), on its default cpu setting with no OC.
It is extremely quiet at 900 rpm (my default speed setting for keeping at above temperature). It is mostly quiet even under full speed.

5 out of 5 eggsEasy Install and It Works

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan

Pros: - Keeps my CPU cool (Skylake 1151-pin i7 6700K)
- Quiet fan
- Included thermal paste works great (but I'm not overclocking)

Cons: - The instructions were straight forward, but the seemed a little too simple and I was doubting my abilities. Fortunately, there are plenty of Youtube instructional videos. After I installed, I realized the the instructions were pretty much accurate.

Other Thoughts: There's a reason why this cooler has been purchased so many times and why there are many great reviews. I'm not ready to overclock yet with my CPU, so I don't know how much faster I can go with this cooler.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent aftermarket cooler

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan

Pros: -Easy to install with modern cases and motherboards
-Excellent performance after installation

Cons: -none

Other Thoughts: -I own two of these for two separate builds. My newer machine is an 1150 CPU and my older one is an 1155. This cooler fits both boards with relative ease. My CPUs are an i7 4770k and an i7 3770k both which runs pretty hot at times. Using the heatsink that came with the CPUs temperatures were in the high 40s and 50s on normal load (which is crazy!). Upon installation of the 212 and re-applying arctic silver, my normal load and idle is about mid 20s and mid 30s, with gaming, temperatures are around high 40s to high 50s. Rarely in the low 60s.

I do not overclock, so this cooler is plenty enough and good enough for what I do already. I highly recommend this to anyone!
