4 out of 5 eggsit works fine. nothing special

This review is from: Cooler Master Seidon 120M – All-In-One CPU Liquid Water Cooling System with 120mm Radiator and Fan

Pros: this cooler works fine. its cooling abilities seems to be on par with a high end air cooler, but this does it much quieter. this thing works great in my HTPC (a HTPC that i just happen to have a 4690k and a gtx 980 in.. lol). my machine is nearly silent in my living room, which is great, and this thing keeps things cool enough when i fire up some games as well.

Cons: every so often, usually when first turning my machine on, i'll hear a sound coming from the pump that sounds like water moving... like it kind of sounds like there may be just a tad bit of air in the system. it only lasts maybe 2 seconds or so and then its gone. first time i heard it i thought it sprung a leak, but it was fine.

this is one of the recommended coolers by coolermaster to use in their own Elite 130 ITX case. the thing is, the wire on the fan that is included with this isn't long enough to reach the fan header in the upper left corner on many itx motherboards. i even have it as the INNER fan on a push/pull and its still not long enough. the wire would have to be like 4 inches longer if i put the fan in the spot that coolermaster recommends, in their own case, with their own cooler... thats just stupid.

on my i5-4690k, in my z97 motherboard, i have an overclock of 4.5 ghz and under prime 95 this thing still lets it get into the upper 80c range. idle temps are lower 30s though, sometimes as low as around 29c if its cold in my living room. im using arctic silver ceramique 2 paste.

Other Thoughts: before installing this thing, give it power and check for leaks. you dont want it leaking all over your expensive hardware.

i dont have anything against this cooler, but if i were to do my build all over again i would probably have gone with the corsair equivalent. it generally yields slightly better temps, and has nicer smooth tubes, instead of the ribbed ones this has.

5 out of 5 eggsKept CPU Ice Cold, easy install.

This review is from: Cooler Master Seidon 120M – All-In-One CPU Liquid Water Cooling System with 120mm Radiator and Fan

Pros: I didn't over-clock my A10-6800K, but was able to keep it cool regardless. Fairly easy to install.

Cons: None really.

5 out of 5 eggscolder than a witches...

This review is from: Cooler Master Seidon 120M – All-In-One CPU Liquid Water Cooling System with 120mm Radiator and Fan

Pros: ... Teet.
I'm using this to cool an AMD FX 8350, and boy does it work well. Pump temp reads out 3c-7c at idle and a steady 28c on load. socket temp runs at 22c idle and load is only 31-34c.
The original fan that is included is really good, but i sacrificed performance with looks and went with an SP120 and an AF130 from corsair, which still do the job at nearly no temperature difference

Cons: None yet.. Wish the rad came with a dust filter, mines gone from black to clay red.

Other Thoughts: If you're looking for a fast and easy watercooling solution for your hot/overclocked processor and dont want to spend 300 bucks on an open loop system, and risk a leak, then this is the solution for you.

4 out of 5 eggsSo much noise!

This review is from: Cooler Master Seidon 120M – All-In-One CPU Liquid Water Cooling System with 120mm Radiator and Fan

Pros: Works great, has kept cpu very cool, planning on overclocking soon.

Cons: The fan that is provided with the radiator is louder than my wife's snoring. No joke this fan is seriously loud, consider replacing it.

Other Thoughts: Great for the money. Even though the fan is loud it works like a champ

4 out of 5 eggsGet One

This review is from: Cooler Master Seidon 120M – All-In-One CPU Liquid Water Cooling System with 120mm Radiator and Fan

Pros: - Rock solid performance
- Very Quiet (not noise-less)
- Easy install with very versatile options for installation

Cons: - Water tubing is crazy stiff

Other Thoughts: The tubing is so stiff that it did present somewhat of a challenge routing things in my m-ITX build. I don't know about stock fan as I put a lower db rated one on from the get go. The pump is really quite and it handles a 95W core at full load with minimal temp change. Haven't messed around with OC'ing this build yet but I have no doubt the cooler will do fine.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat alternative to fans

This review is from: Cooler Master Seidon 120M – All-In-One CPU Liquid Water Cooling System with 120mm Radiator and Fan

Pros: I find it less noisy then fans
Does the job of two fans

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: The only thing i have to complain is the paper instruction are terrible, they are not vrry clear and are missing info like fan direction or that you hsve to plug pump on syst fan and not cpu
Luckely they made a youtube video that is great

2 out of 5 eggsExtremely unimpressed

This review is from: Cooler Master Seidon 120M – All-In-One CPU Liquid Water Cooling System with 120mm Radiator and Fan

Pros: It works kind of.
Doesn't take up a ton of space in my case.

Cons: Doesn't work very well.
Fan is loud.
Not worth the money.
Can't handle very much of an overclock.

Other Thoughts: Don't waste your time and money on this product. I have an i7 3770k and I can only overclock to 4.4ghz at around 92C. I even added a second fan for push-pull. I'm glad I bought this when it was on sale otherwise I would be pretty angry right now. Especially don't buy this if you plan on overclocking. Next time I'm making a custom loop and skipping this cheap junk.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello Stephen R,

We apologize for the trouble that you are experiencing with the Seidon 120m. I believe I trouble shooted with you on our Cooler Master Forums. Again I apologize that you are not happy with the performance but please understand that is only a 120mm radiator AIO and can only handle so much.

Again for as high of an overclock that you are trying to achieve, I would suggest looking at our Seidon 240m, Nepton 240m, Nepton 280L, or Glacer 240L.

Please let me know if you have any more questions.

4 out of 5 eggsGood CPU cooling solution

This review is from: Cooler Master Seidon 120M – All-In-One CPU Liquid Water Cooling System with 120mm Radiator and Fan

Pros: I picked this up on sale through NewEgg. The main reason why I selected this cooler was to avoid interference issues with the nearby memory slots that I had encountered with air-based CPU cooler. This proves very effective at keeping my i7 cool, and it operates very quietly with only an occasional gurgle from the liquid.

Cons: Not sure this is a con, but you need to read the instructions carefully and take your time installing. The nuts that you install need to be installed with the black "washers" towards the motherboard, and the instructions do not make this clear. Also, in the BIOS settings, you need to make sure the header that is hooked up to the pump is set to full speed. I recommend mounting the radiator and fan to the case first.

Other Thoughts: System configuration: i7-4790K processor, Gigabyte GA-Z97X-UD5H motherboard, Gigabyte GV-N980G1 GAMING-4GD, Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600, Samsung 840 EVO 500GB 2.5" SSD, Acer H276HLbmid 27.0" via DVI, Thermaltake Chaser A71 ATX Full Tower case. I don't overclock my CPU. I used Arctic Silver 5 instead of the included thermal compound.
