Pros: -Cheap when bought on sale
-Works well for the money
-Good for gaming and occasional high performance computing

Cons: -Overheats when maxing processor out for more than 20 minutes.
-Sometimes computer crashes when converting several hours of video overnight using handbrake.
-Screw holes strip easily
-Fans are very loud when maxing processor out and would be put to better use if directly on CPU.

3 out of 5 eggsDISAPPOINTED

This review is from: Cooler Master Seidon 120XL – Push-Pull CPU Liquid Water Cooling System with 120mm Radiator and 2 Fans

Pros: Quiet (when provided with the steady 12 volts)
Less expensive than a full water-cooling system
Relatively easy to mount
Keeps my CPU cool (37C, on average)

Cons: Considering the pump acts up if it doesn't get the steady 12v, it should have come with a molex adapter. I had to buy one online.
I knew about this before I bought it, but what I didn't see was the reviews warning about how easy it is to strip the screw holes. I lost two the first day, not from carelessness, but just from mounting and removing the fan repeatedly while trying to eliminate the rattle.
Since I got the rebate with it, I no longer have the UPC, and I'm betting Newegg won't take it back. Even if they did, I don't like the idea of my computer being dead for a month.
So now I need to find some sort of solution. Perhaps the hardware store has some small nuts I can solder into the worn-out mounting holes.

Other Thoughts: Given that it's cheaper than a full-on liquid-cooling system, and it keeps my CPU relatively cool, I'd say it's mostly worth the money.
However, with the problems I've had, and seeing the problems other people have had, I don't think it's worth $90. $70 is acceptable. I just wish the rebate process hadn't taken three months.

1 out of 5 eggsWhat in the world has happened???

This review is from: Cooler Master Seidon 120XL – Push-Pull CPU Liquid Water Cooling System with 120mm Radiator and 2 Fans

Pros: Works good when it works.

Cons: I have had this thing for less than a year, purchased 5/19/2013, and for the past 2 weeks, the pump has begun clanking and is no longer keeping my cpu cool like it used to. Not to mention the advertisement below the specs states "Guaranteed no maintenance for years". I would not recommend this to anyone looking for a long term cooling solution. Definitely think I may be buying from Corsair if I can't get any help from CM.

Other Thoughts: DON'T BUY!!!

Manufacturer Response:

2 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: Cooler Master Seidon 120XL – Push-Pull CPU Liquid Water Cooling System with 120mm Radiator and 2 Fans

Pros: Keeps my AMD 8350 extremely cool.

Cons: Makes a rattling noise that is annoying and heard outside of case...suspect that it is coming from the water pump. When it randomly decides to stop, it makes a disturbing chirp noise and is very quiet for a while...then starts up again.

Radiator threads are easily stripped when installing unit. Be very careful, and only screw in until just snug.

5 out of 5 eggs120XL

This review is from: Cooler Master Seidon 120XL – Push-Pull CPU Liquid Water Cooling System with 120mm Radiator and 2 Fans

Pros: -easy to install
-Quiet fans
-Keeps my temps in the low 30's whilst gaming
-Couldn't even get my temps over 60C using prime 95. And I have a haswell, which are known to run hotter than most cpu's.

Cons: The screw holes strip easily. The tubes are really long. They touch the side window of my case and make a loud vibrating noise sometimes. But it's not that noticeable.

Other Thoughts: I'm not sure why some people complain about the fan noise. it's not THAT loud.

4 out of 5 eggs6 Months in.

This review is from: Cooler Master Seidon 120XL – Push-Pull CPU Liquid Water Cooling System with 120mm Radiator and 2 Fans

Pros: I run an overclocked AMD FX-8350 Vishera 4.0GHz (4.2GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 125W Eight-Core Desktop Processor with 2 game clients running, skype, vent, and VLC media playing a movie the highest the CPU temp has gotten was 46 degree.

Overall the cooler does its job and does it well.

Cons: First CM might want to think about a better mounting set up for the screws can easily strip the threads out of the radiator :/ but if you have any DYI capabilities you just need to find a slightly larger screw which is fully threaded and use a few nuts to keep it together nice and snug so all the weight is being supported at each end of the bolts.

Second the fans that came with the cooler suck in my opinion. being with what these cooling systems are mostly going to be used for some better fans should be sent with it. I switched my fans out with some variable speed hydro cougar fans which run virtually silent.

The last con might be just that the pump could be dying. The sound of the pump sometimes is there sometimes is not and can vary on how loud with some days being bad enough to where i can hear it through my over the ear headphones but I will just get it replaced.

Other Thoughts: Although my one grip that gets me is they want me to send the entire cooling system in before replacing. I wish I could sen din video proof or something to prove them that the cooling system itself is dying a slow death. I personally use my computer for a lot so its kinda a pain.

Otherwise this is a solid cooler just wish the warranty was handled a bit different.

5 out of 5 eggsAwsome

This review is from: Cooler Master Seidon 120XL – Push-Pull CPU Liquid Water Cooling System with 120mm Radiator and 2 Fans

Pros: Easy Install.Self contained definitely worth the price! My CPU was Running at 78 Deg F. at normal use. When running a few heavy programs it would jump up to 110 -140 Deg F. Not at Idle it is at 51 Deg F and when heavy load only jumps to 70-78 deg f.

Cons: None At All..

Other Thoughts: Easy install for me, may be a bit more complicated for other tower/motherboards. you tube has some good install videos for this product.

3 out of 5 eggsI don't recommend taking it out

This review is from: Cooler Master Seidon 120XL – Push-Pull CPU Liquid Water Cooling System with 120mm Radiator and 2 Fans

Pros: This thing works great, it seems to be keeping my processor ~ 20 Degrees Celsius cooler than the stock heatsink and fan.

Cons: It is loud
When I took it out to replace a few parts in my computer (I have to move it in order to unplug the CPU power from the mobo) I couldn't get it to screw back onto the case because taking the screws out had stripped the holes on the radiator, so I had to take it out and I'm back to using the stock heatsink until I can replace it

4 out of 5 eggsCooler Master Seidon 120XL

This review is from: Cooler Master Seidon 120XL – Push-Pull CPU Liquid Water Cooling System with 120mm Radiator and 2 Fans

Pros: Good cooling, nice price, Pretty cool looking,
Pump is quiet.

Cons: Installation instructions could use a little more info.
Installed on an ASUS M5A99X EVO Motherboard w/
AMD FX 8150. Seemed like I needed to use the stand offs / spacers but none of the threads from the spacers fit the screws on the mounting bracket. The mounting bracket screws have a spring on them; had to compress the spring a little farther than I was comfortable with. Kept waiting for the thing to jump out of the case while I was attaching the block to the CPU
. The 2 120mm fans that came with the cooler are quite loud. I couldn't stand the noise. I replaced the stock fans with another set of Cooler Master fans I had for the case. These fans are much quieter and just so happened to have LED lights so it looks better too. See other thoughts for the fans I used as replacements for the noise makers.

Other Thoughts: Fans I used on the Radiator:
Cooler Master Sleeve Bearing 120mm Blue LED Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators
(also from Newgg) Item #N82E16835103022

Fan Speed may have played a part in the excessive noise. I could not adjust the fan speed for the radiator through the AI Suite II program I have installed.

I thought the idle temps would be cooler than they are, but they aren't bad at really. Idle CPU Temps are around 40 C and climbed to 44-45 C with moderate load. Just and FYI I do have the 8150 overclocked a bit so that probably has something to do with the higher than expected temps.
