3 out of 5 eggsokay been a week now

This review is from: Cooler Master Seidon 240M – All-In-One CPU Liquid Water Cooling System with 240mm Radiator and 2 Fans

Pros: price fits cooler Master Stryker with ease only with 2 fans, though 4 fans will not fit depending on mobo I have Asus Hero now 2 slim fans will fit on top of the case not in the case. with filter removed.

Cons: I am not sure but still getting higher then normal temps, I think the pump is not working correctly seems. Seem to be the case, I am using Artic silver.
I now think at 59.99 its just not worth it.

4 out of 5 eggsAlmost perfect AIO...

This review is from: Cooler Master Seidon 240M – All-In-One CPU Liquid Water Cooling System with 240mm Radiator and 2 Fans

Pros: Great performance
Easy installation
Good price

I picked this unit up on sale for $89.99 with a $20 rebate. I was a bit skeptical at first whether or not it would make a huge difference, and WOW , I can tell you this blows my old cooler out of the water.

I was using a CM hyper TX3 before because of space constraints in my case. I was actually worried I wouldn't be able to fit this AIO in my Corsair carbide Spec-3, and although it is a tight fit that requires removing my exhaust fan temporarily, it does fit. Make sure you have low profile ram and non-crazy northbridge heat sinks.

As far as the performance goes, I was getting a max of 59-62 degrees in P95 with my old cooler on an 8320 @ 4 ghz. This cooler maxes out at 39* and returns to 11* idle within 5 seconds. No, that is not an exaggeration. The 240m radiator dissipates an enormous amount of heat. I feel like I could drop my temps even further by installing some better fans, but for now these will suit me fine.

Cons: Looks dull- compared to a corsair AIO (which I was considering before I grabbed this one) the tubing is rough. Included Y-splitter does not have fully shielded wires.

Strange clicking / whirring noise. Sounds like a mix between a wheedwhacker and an outboard motor. Not very loud, but noticeable.

As this is my first AIO, I'm not yet sure if that's just how a pump sounds or if it's one of the fans. I just installed the cooler and booted up my system to check performance. I will update the review if I'm able to fix the problem.

Other Thoughts: So far I'm happy with this cooler. I will run it overnight to check for leaks but so far so good. Will update with final thoughts when I've finished my overclock.

5 out of 5 eggsFirst Liquid Cooler

This review is from: Cooler Master Seidon 240M – All-In-One CPU Liquid Water Cooling System with 240mm Radiator and 2 Fans

Pros: This review is based on an X99 motherboard.

I've built many computers over the years but haven't really had the need or want to get involved in liquid cooling because although I've over clocked my CPUs, the heatsinks/fans I've had in the past have been sufficient and the price of liquid coolers has been high. On my new X99 build I decided to see what all the fuss was about. I picked up this Cooler Master Seidon 240M and boy am I pleased.

On an X99 board, this installation is very simple and straight forward. From unpacking to clean up I believe I spend all of 30 minutes on the project. I'm not a fan of stock thermal grease so I set aside what came with the cooler and utilized Artic Silver instead. I have no way of saying that the stock grease is good or bad, but it's just my preference to use something else.

The cooler is quiet and allowed me to raise the clock of my CPU (i7 5820k) a solid 1.1Ghz and still be stable. I haven't really pushed it beyond this because as I said earlier, I don't exactly have the need, but I think I could get a couple more clicks out of it if I really tried. I have the radiator and fans mounted to the top of my case and if I put my hand above it, I can really feel the heat from the CPU being pushed out and away. Gotta love it.

This has also dropped the ambient temperature of my case by 10 degrees celsius under load and I'm seeing a temperature drop on my CPU of about 20 degrees celsius under load on average compared to my old heatsink/fan cooler.

Cons: No fancy lights to show it off! But in all seriousness, I do wish they would've included 4 fans instead of just 2. I mean... it can't cost Cooler Master more than a couple bucks to include and I would've gladly paid a little more for them. I'm just a little too lazy to make another order at this point.

Other Thoughts: Absolutely pleased with this set up. Simple, straight forward, no headaches, immediate decrease in temperature.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Performance Overall

This review is from: Cooler Master Seidon 240M – All-In-One CPU Liquid Water Cooling System with 240mm Radiator and 2 Fans

Pros: - Provides very cool temps to my i5 2500k, overclocked at full load around 65 - 70 degrees
- Easy to assemble due to good instructions
- Well done packaging, found no bent fins in the radiator
- Great build quality

Cons: - Fans are very loud at full RPM, which is expected of course
- Would prefer the tubing that the h100 uses for aesthetics

Other Thoughts: Fantastic cooler, no problems with it so far. The fans may be loud at full RPM but turning them down to 1400 RPM virtually makes it silent and has no affect on performance whatsoever.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat but didn't last

This review is from: Cooler Master Seidon 240M – All-In-One CPU Liquid Water Cooling System with 240mm Radiator and 2 Fans

Pros: Silent operation. Great cooling capabilities.

Cons: Pump died after 1.5 years.

Other Thoughts: I used this cooler on an AMD 6800K. It was probably overkill but I wanted to utilize the radiator area on the N400 case. It kept the system very cool and I enjoyed the near silence. However, the pump died this morning and CPU shut the system down. I was forced to install the stock heatsink/fan which was kept new in the box. I've forgotten the crazy sound a heatsink and fan make over the time I owned this cooler. I will RMA this baby and see how long the replacement lasts. Thanks for the 2 year warranty!!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat and trouble-free

This review is from: Cooler Master Seidon 240M – All-In-One CPU Liquid Water Cooling System with 240mm Radiator and 2 Fans

Pros: As another reviewer noted: the Seidon 240M fits perfectly under the top case fan in the Cooler Master HAF 932 Advanced case. Just ran the mount screws down around the case fan to the radiator (now beneath the case fan) and locked it in, then mounted the radiator fans underneath it in a push/pull with the case fan. Lots of room up in the top of the case.

Cons: None yet. I only wonder when the coolant will no longer be any good.

Other Thoughts: Definitely do some research into measurements and what case you will use. A cooler this size, you want to make sure you have the space to accommodate it.

5 out of 5 eggsPretty Solid

This review is from: Cooler Master Seidon 240M – All-In-One CPU Liquid Water Cooling System with 240mm Radiator and 2 Fans

Pros: Never tried the stock fans. Immediately upgraded to some Corsair 2350 RPM fans and this thing has been running like a beast for over a year and half now. Running on a 4770k at 3.8ghz and idles at exactly the room's temp with fans running at 800rpm. Temps max out at about 65C under full load at 3.8ghz. Occasionally overclock to 4.4ghz and temps still max at around 75C under full load. No problems with this systems thus far.

Cons: Pretty big radiator

Other Thoughts: Don't know how this does with the stock fans, but everything else does exactly what its supposed to do pretty well.

3 out of 5 eggsFirst time with this Cooling System

This review is from: Cooler Master Seidon 240M – All-In-One CPU Liquid Water Cooling System with 240mm Radiator and 2 Fans

Pros: CPU temp 39c Installation of block was very easy. AM3+ Radiator had no bent fins. Quiet currently only using one fan

Cons: Both Fans do work but when I tighten one of them down the side walls of the fan came in and the blades are scraping the inside of the housing. My intent is to replace the fans

Other Thoughts: OS: ESXI 6.0
Board : ASUS Sabertooth r2.0
Ram : Vengance 24 gig 1600
Proc: FX 8320
Video: ASUS R7250X-2GD5 Radeon R7 250X 2GB Passthrough for steam stream

5 out of 5 eggsGreat cooler

This review is from: Cooler Master Seidon 240M – All-In-One CPU Liquid Water Cooling System with 240mm Radiator and 2 Fans

Pros: Very easy to install on my Corsair C70 case, Came with solid brackets for mounting (gigabyte 970A-UD3P / fx-6300), keeps cool: Idle is 15-18c and max 42c @ 4.9GHz , blue light isn't too intrusive.

Cons: My only con, and I debated about docking and egg or not, is that it can be a little rough to get the spring loaded screws started. I was a little paranoid that I was going to severely bend or even break my board.

Other Thoughts: I know it might be bit excessive for a FX-6300, but I plan on switching up later on.
