Following the success of the Seidon 120M, COOLER Master introduces an improved CPU water cooler Seidon 240M. It has all the cooling technologies of Seidon 120M applied and has larger radiator up to 240mm. The larger radiator not only sheds more heat but also supports two 120mm fans. The compact design brings it to the masses. Also, the Seidon 240M is designed with zero maintenance and universal CPU socket compatibility.

  • newegg Fantastic cooling performance The durable and powerful water pump helps dissipate heat effectively and maintain temperatures through stable water circulation. The UltraFine Micro channels on the waterblock enlarge the contact surface between cold plate and coolant for more heat transfer. Performance 240mm radiator is designed to dissipate huge heat from overclocked CPU and can accommodate two 120mm PWM fans. The 120mm PWM fan offers a wide RPM range of 600~2400 +/- 10% allowing you to fine tune and balance fan noise and performance.
  • newegg Zero maintenance Factory filled with coolant, then sealed and pressure tested, the COOLER MASTER Seidon 240M requires zero maintenance for years.
  • newegg Universal Socket Compatibility The COOLER MASTER Seidon 240M features universal socket support including Intel LGA2011, 1366, 1156, 1155 and LGA775 as well as AMD FM2, FM1, AM3+, AM3, AM2+, and AM2.

5 out of 5 eggsBeautiful Case!

Pros: This great is perfect for a new build I highly recommend it. I love it very spacious and if you know what you're doing it can fit quite a bit. This case has everything I asked for and more it's perfect. Tested the handle and its pretty solid good work CM!

Cons: From what I hear this case isn't capable of getting a push-pull function for the fans but that's not something that I think really has an effect on my dicision I chose this strictly on size, style and durability.

Other Thoughts: CM Storm Stryker

5 out of 5 eggsBest water cooler right now

Pros: i5 2500K overclocked to 4.2 GHz ran folding at home on full for 1 hour, temperature maxed out at 42C. Soon as I stopped folding went right back to 22C. Idle 20-22 C
-CPU bracket is easy to install.
-No software to install
-Uses motherboard fan controller.

Cons: None really.

Other Thoughts: -Makes about the same noise as CPU fan.
-HAF922 and p67 sabertooth = tight fit but works
-Sabertooth p67 board runs a little hotter since no cpu fan to push air through motherboard channels.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat for the Price!

Pros: Simple to install, stays cool

Cons: Stock fans are really loud at max rpm

Other Thoughts: I had this for a couple days now; the temperature stays between 26-32. I have an AMD processor (Socket AM3) so it was kinda tricky connecting the piece the backplate, since you have to hold the backplate while trying to screw it in.
Also, make sure you have room for the radiator and the fans inside the case. The fans just barely didn't fit so I installed the radiator inside and the fans above the case pushing down (I have a Lian Li case which has a compartment at the top used for the fans).
The only major issue for me is that I couldn't install a complete push-pull fan configuration because I could only fit the radiator between the space above the motherboard. But with just the fans pushing from the top, it still stays realtively cool.
Last thing, if you don't adjust fan speed in the BIOS, the radiator fans will probably be at max speed and it's VERY loud. For most motheboards, all you have to do is enter the bios and set a temperature for CPU fan - and maybe reduce the minimum fan speed. I set mine to 45, and the fans are very quiet (maybe 1000 rpm), while temps stay at 26-32. Previously with just the stock cpu heatsink and fan (AMD FX-4170 Zambezi), I was touching 50-55, so BIG difference in temps!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Purchase

Pros: Keeps my AMD FX-8350 @4.5Ghz processor below 25ºC during idle and below 50ºC during gaming.
I connected both Seidon FANs to the CPU FAN header on my GA-990FXA mobo and the Seidon Water Pump to SYSFAN1 header. On the BIOS, they are both set for manual fan control with 0.75/ºC for the CPU FAN and 2.5/ºC for the SYSFAN1 (water pump).

Cons: Fans are a bit noisy at 1500RPM

Other Thoughts: Check if your Case has enough room for the radiator before buying this water cooler. I didn't look closer to realize that my Cougar Evolution case didn't have enough room for both the radiator and fans. I ended up installing the fans on the top of the case and modding the case top cover.

NewEgg free shipping is a hit or miss. I ordered a mobo proc and heatsink with free shipping the day before I ordered this water cooler and they arrived on second business day with UPS. This cooler on the other hand was shipped from the same warehouse but via FedEx and arrived a week later.

4 out of 5 eggsEasy Install, Great Product!

Pros: Love the design and it's flexibility between different processor types. Very very quiet!

Cons: Only one con that I can think of. The fans that are sent with the package are way to under powered. To ensure that I was installing them in the right flow direction I had plugged one into another computer that I had available and could hardly feel any airflow at all moving from the fan blades, however, was able to determine direction. After the completion of installation I can hardly feel hardly, if any, airflow at all from the rear of the radiator.

If you're cooling from cooling's sake then this works amazing. If you're really pushing your rig to it's max then you might look into after-market 120s to fit over your radiator.

Other Thoughts: I watched the video of this product on Newegg's website and decided to go with it. I love having this Mozart TX case. It's big as all hell, however, made the installation a breeze. All the pieces that come with the kit are very well made and easy to understand. Dropped an overclocked i7 from 70c at idle to 45-47ish at idle. Well worth the money and again not let down by Coolermaster! :)

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Yes the fans are capable of >2000 RPM. They almost never get that high on their own and at the 700ish RPM they sit at when my CPU isn't overclocked I can't even hear them.

Cons: One of my fans seems to have developed a noisy bearing. The problem only surfaces after some time running at an elevated RPM due to video transcoding while the CPU is OC'd 30%. Kind of annoying since the unit is only 1 month old...

Other Thoughts: Tried water cooling back in '05 using a custom loop system with mixed results and ended up going back to a really good air cooler. With this build I decided to give water another shot as I wanted a quieter system. This system has brought me back to water cooling as the only solution.

4 out of 5 eggsMy Review

Pros: It cools well.

Cons: Fans are loud. One of my fans sounded like an old hard-drive .

Other Thoughts: I replaced both fans with Noctua NF-F12 and it's very quite and cool.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent

Pros: Does a pretty good job at cooling. Nicely made and packaged very well.

Cons: I think i expected a little more out of it. My i7-3770k idles at 28-30c and hours of BF3 it tops out around 55-58c. My Phanteks HSF replaced with this idled around 25 and maxed out at 50.

Other Thoughts: I guess the plus side is the Seidon 240 takes up a lot less room than the Phanteks cooler.
