5 out of 5 eggsWorks Well

This review is from: Cooler Master Seidon 240M – All-In-One CPU Liquid Water Cooling System with 240mm Radiator and 2 Fans

Pros: Keeps my 4.7ghz 4670k at 50-60C during gaming, 75-85C under an artificial load like Intel's XTU and Prime95. For an AIO solution, it does a good job.

I set mine up in a push/pull config with 4 fans, two on either sides of the radiator. The fans that come with it are beastly. Both loud and powerful. You can really feel the air being pushed through, and it has - on occasion - sucked an article of clothing up.

Installation wasn't too bad, took me about an hour to figure out how to mount everything because I'm building on a Lian Li Pitstop T60 Bench case which has extremely limited options for mounting anything really.

The CPU heatsink itself is quite heavy, plastic housed with a little white emblem light for a clean, modern look. I was very impressed with the mounting system used, but make sure to tighten screws across from each other to get an even compression on the CPU.

Cons: Like another reviewer mentioned, the hoses are STIFF, really, really stiff.

The Radiator is a bit heavy, make sure to mount it well, careful not to strip out the screws. The metal is pretty soft. I was a little disappointed with the quality of the radiator.

Other Thoughts: I came from a Noctua NH-D14 which is nearly equivalent (cooling performance wise) to many AIO liquid solutions as long as you have adequate airflow. I just didn't have the room for the NH-D14 in the case I am using on my new build.

Considering the heat issues with Generation 4 Intel chips, the cooler does a great job.

Some of my heat spikes may be due to an internal problem with the manufacturing of Gen4 intel processors. Google "intel delidding" for more information.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat cooler for great price, destroys h100i

This review is from: Cooler Master Seidon 240M – All-In-One CPU Liquid Water Cooling System with 240mm Radiator and 2 Fans

Pros: I bought this to replace a defective h100i and could not be happier. It outperforms it in every capacity. I am a full 5 degrees cooler (Celsius), and you can control pump speed. You also do not have compatibility errors with asus suite, nor the awful corsair software. Mounting is easy and well engineered, and there are a few installation videos out there to make up for bad instructions. This thing keeps a nice leash on my haswell 4790k.

Cons: Terrible instructions, awful mounting screws.

4 out of 5 eggsPre Built Water Cooling

This review is from: Cooler Master Seidon 240M – All-In-One CPU Liquid Water Cooling System with 240mm Radiator and 2 Fans

Pros: For my first time water cooling this thing isn't bad, although I won't shoot it completely down considering I'm running an i7-3930K and currently in the act of Folding @ Home which beats the processes of the CPU/GPU down a lot. For something that is constantly running it keeps my temps down at about 59*C - but mind that is at the PCW control of the motherboard controlling the pump, I need to switch it over to the PSU for constant power but oh well.

Cons: It's running slightly hotter than I'd like it to when I'm folding proteins, although it's on a 3930K it still hits about 59*C on light which is running my system at approx. 50-60% and when ran at medium it operates around 69-75*C which I find a bit unsettling. But again this may be due to me running it off the motherboard and not on the PSU, either way still a bit warm for having being a water cooled setup.

Other Thoughts: Overall it's not bad, it's already sealed so there isn't any maintenance to be done and it comes with fans - not bad for just over $100. Also at idle I run about mid 30*C and sometimes, on a warm day, just below 40*C.

This review is from: Cooler Master Seidon 240M – All-In-One CPU Liquid Water Cooling System with 240mm Radiator and 2 Fans

Pros: 240mm Radiator, can be quiet at times, easy installation

Cons: Loud ticking noise from the pump, Ive tried to get an RMA but their site is always down for some reason.

Other Thoughts: Overall good budget 240 CLC. Id argue its the best for the money.

5 out of 5 eggs13 months in, still chills like a Champion

This review is from: Cooler Master Seidon 240M – All-In-One CPU Liquid Water Cooling System with 240mm Radiator and 2 Fans

Pros: Keeps my i5 3570k under 30c idle, under 50c after over 4 hours of gaming on Ultra with a 4.5Ghz OC.

240mm size makes this easily work for a front, door, or top-mount.

Fan "Y" adapter and CPU/Pump are on separate connections, good for better control.

Cons: Fans *can* be loud, but with a proper fan curve they almost never go high enough to be heard. As with any radiator, a weekly dusting keeps things quiet.

Other Thoughts: As with any closed-loop cooler, I highly recommend mounting the pump with the hoses on the SIDE, not the top or bottom, and mount the radiator (which is effectively the reservoir) HIGHER than the pump. This keeps bubbles from getting caught in the pump, and any filament/residue from settling in the pump. This also stops >25db noise from the ceramic pump bearing.

2 out of 5 eggsone of the top fans malfuctioned

This review is from: Cooler Master Seidon 240M – All-In-One CPU Liquid Water Cooling System with 240mm Radiator and 2 Fans

Pros: somewhat not too hard to install. Provide good cooling, running 4.1 Mhz @ around 35-38 Celsius degree.
not too loud ( if you don't get a malfunctioned fan like me)

Cons: kinda expensive , I bought it for $95 bucks at local electronics.
Ok, I bought it for the new computer build. After installation, It was incredibly loud that I couldn't bear it no more. I thought I would have to return it back and go for something else instead. But when I troubleshoot it, I found out that the problem was there was one top fan caused all the loud noises.
I replaced that fan with $14.99 Corsair fan and problem resolved.
Now Cooler master...can I have partial of my money back? so my water cooling turns out to be $115 now ...Maybe I wouldn't have this problem if I went with Corsair or something else at first. Very disappointed with Cooler master this time. Will think twice before buying another cooler master products.

Other Thoughts: I'm happy with my new build now.
Asus Rampage IV extreme black edition.
Intel I 7 4930K
cooler master Seidon 240mm
Cooler master stryker.
Asus GTX 760 x2
Antec 850 V PSU

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Water Cooling Solution

This review is from: Cooler Master Seidon 240M – All-In-One CPU Liquid Water Cooling System with 240mm Radiator and 2 Fans

Pros: Cooling a AMD Fx 8320 Auto Overclock (3.7ghz) @ 32 C Idle
41 C Underload, Underload for more than 20 minutes Max Temperature @ 46 C.

Works Great, Highly Recommend this for those that want a Great Cooling Solution for Gaming/WorkStation

Cons: After 2 weeks, started to hear a buzzing noise in the radiator, turns out the radiator would keep making this noise unless I turned the fan speed down from max, to about 50-75% fan speed. Should have RMA'd it during the first instance I heard it, but figured I would hold on to it until it gives out, and the temperatures still remain the same, unchanged when under load and when idling, so I guess you could say the quality of it is very good, just annoying to hear the buzzing noise.

Other Thoughts: Great when it works, hasn't overheated any processor that I've tried with it, my current system :

Amd Fx 8320
MSI 990fxa-GD65V2
8GB G-Skill 1600mhz
Sapphire R7 260x OC
Thermaltake 1200watt PSU
Adata SSD 128GB 550/Read 540/Write
