4 out of 5 eggsJust as good as a 212 EVO but at a lower price

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper T4 - CPU Cooler with 4 Direct Contact Heatpipes

Pros: + Can be up to $15 less expensive than the 212 EVO
+ Smaller (148 mm)
+ 120mm fan

Cons: - Can only be mounted 1 way on AMD motherboards (fan facing up/down)

5 out of 5 eggsVery good cooler for Intel CPUs

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper T4 - CPU Cooler with 4 Direct Contact Heatpipes

Pros: - Mounting is an absolute breeze - much easier than the CM 212 Evo
- Solid performer

Cons: - none

Other Thoughts: Be wary about fitment issues if you are an AMD user. This cooler fit over my 1150 motherboard perfectly and the install was a breeze. Cooling temps identical to the 212 Evo I installed in another build. Will recommend this in the future for being generally cheaper and easier to install. Very happy.

5 out of 5 eggsThe best cooler

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper T4 - CPU Cooler with 4 Direct Contact Heatpipes

Pros: By using this cooler, I could overlock the CPU from 3.2ghz to 4.5ghz. I do not get blue screens of death anymore. This is one of the best coolers which I have ever used.

Cons: It needs detailed instructions to install it.

Other Thoughts: Coolersmaster is a great brand to consider.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid CPU Cooler

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper T4 - CPU Cooler with 4 Direct Contact Heatpipes

Pros: Direct contact heat pipes.
Large heat sink.
Large fan.
Low RPM, quiet fan

Cons: Large!
May be too tall for some cases. Be sure to measure.
Makes contact with the RAM heatsinks. I had to remove the heatsinks.

Other Thoughts: Excellent cooler but it is very large. The fan is quiet, even at full load.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat cooler. Not as bloated as the 212 EVO

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper T4 - CPU Cooler with 4 Direct Contact Heatpipes

Pros: - Thinner than its cousin
- 120mm fan
- Easy for someone accustomed to AMD to install since it uses a clippy fastener
- Fit in my tiny mATX case with a GTX 980ti and super tall Corsair Vengeance RAM (The ones with the salad forks sticking out of the top)

Cons: - Not made of solid 14k gold
- Can't cook eggs on it.

Other Thoughts: - I recommend this cooler for small form factor builders that want a top level air cooler.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great under normal conditions

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper T4 - CPU Cooler with 4 Direct Contact Heatpipes

Pros: Only moving part is an easily replaceable 120mm fan, which is much quieter than the stock CPU fan. Also it comes with thermal paste.

Cons: Aluminum fins bend easily, but they also bend back easily.

Other Thoughts: would not fit in low-pro case

5 out of 5 eggsJust a great cooler!!!

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper T4 - CPU Cooler with 4 Direct Contact Heatpipes

Pros: This heat sink will cool your cpu. I use to have the T2 which on idle and full load(prime 95, on a i5 4460 (3.2Ghz), would give 36 and 67 respectively. With the T4 im getting 26 and 53.. love this upgrade and worth every dollar.

Cons: None apart from ram clearance, but just check the specs before buying it for your MB

4 out of 5 eggsgreat dollars to performance

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper T4 - CPU Cooler with 4 Direct Contact Heatpipes

Pros: Cheap and reasonably easy to install, and does what it is supposed to do; keep my i7 4790k happy/cool. Comes with extra fan bracket so you can add a pull fan.

Cons: Do not care for the way it mounts. A tension leaver instead of screws hold it in place. I worry this could pop loose when the pc is being moved, say from one room to another.

Other Thoughts: On some PCBs this cooler may have issue with tall ram but I was able to get it onto an itx board without too much grief. Used a small zip tie to help hold tension arm in place since I'm using it in a portable lan rig.

5 out of 5 eggsDoes its job.

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper T4 - CPU Cooler with 4 Direct Contact Heatpipes

Pros: Purchased because a 212 evo was literally 3mm too tall to fit into current case. This fit perfectly.
31C on an a10-7850k running at 3.9ghz in a crowded case with poor cable management and only 1 other fan in the case.

Good sturdy design.
Decent enough thermal paste.

Cons: None that i can think of.

2 out of 5 eggsAM3+ - it points the wrong way

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper T4 - CPU Cooler with 4 Direct Contact Heatpipes

Pros: It is cheap, does a good job.

Cons: Comes with several options for changing out the bracket (if you have any other socket) but on the AM3+, nothing. So it has a bar that goes across the plate and the fan can point to the top or bottom of the case but not the back. So I have mine blowing out the top. Didn't research enough but will still keep it cool enough with the 3 other case fans.
