Pros: GENTS, I HAVE READ OTHER REVIEWS ON THIS PRODUCT AND WAS DISAPPOINTED WITH THEIR CONTENT. THE COOLER MASTER V8 GTS COOLER HAS PROVED TO BE ONE OF THE UPPER END PRODUCTS OF MY BUILD. I LOOK FORWARD TO THE CHALLENGE OF MY BUILD AND IF A LITTLE WORK IS REQUIRED TO MAKE SOMETHING FIT, WELL AND GOOD. INSTALLATION WAS A CHALLENGE AND I HAD TO UPGRADE TO A LARGER CASE. MORE FUN IN MY BOOK. I NOW HAVE A COOLER THAT HAS DROPPED TEMPS OF THE CPU OVER 20 DEGREES . WITH THE LARGER CASE I HAVE INCLUDED 0VER 140 LEDS, ,VARIOUS COLORS AND PATTERNS THAT JUST DRESS UP THE RED LIGHTS ON THE COOLER. PERSONALLY, I DON'T THINK THERE IS ANOTHER COOLER ON THE MARKET THAT COMPARES WITH THIS ONE. FIVE STARS AND HAPPY BUILDING TO THE REAL BUILDERS.

4 out of 5 eggsPretty nice

Pros: It keeps cool pretty well.

Cons: It lost an egg because it was advertised to be able to keep AMD's 9xxx series cool, which it DOES NOT.

Other Thoughts: Do not buy for AMD's 9xxx series, it will not suffice.

5 out of 5 eggsMost Awesome

Pros: After reading all of the previous reviews, I knew this was the right CPU to own

Cons: BIG COOLER, so big, it did not fit in the case

Other Thoughts: When I received the V8, I was awestruck by this CPU cooler, the sheer size and the whole tube/radiator set up was way more than I expected, I installed it on a MSI 970A-G43 With no problems what so ever(MB was out of case) I continued to install it in to my
Corsair Carbide Series SPEC-01 case and, no go, not enough clearance at the top.
so buyer beware with this cooler and case combo

4 out of 5 eggsCooler Master V8 GTS

Pros: First started looking for CPU Cooler when I found out my old stock Intel fan stopped working and my CPU was running hot. My color scheme for my computer is black and red so when i was looking. I was trying to find something that would go along with it, but really cared more about getting my CPU chilled. I came across the Cooler Master V8 GTS and I fell in love instantly with the appearance. It looked so sick I just had to look at its reviews and specs. I saw almost all the reviews say a lot of good things and not a lot of bad things. So instantly ordered it, got it in 3 days. Couldnt wait to install. Overall for pros, works really nice, looks amazing, pretty quiet, very good product.

Cons: Now the reason why I took an egg off this product is not because of its quality. Not even close. The reason why I took off an egg is because, when I first took the product out of the box, I was surprised on how big it was. Now for me, I dont care how big it is. If anything I liked how big the product was because it made the product seem that much more cooler and intimidating. But it is pretty big. Which leads me to really why I took off an egg. Because its so big, its kinda difficult to install because getting to the screws when screwing it down, is pretty difficult. An if you do not have a lot of patience, you might get really angry quick. Other than the installation its a little pricey.

Other Thoughts: This product I really think is a high quality CPU cooler, other than its somewhat difficult installation, and a little pricey. This product really truly is a very good CPU cooler and looks amazing while doing so.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Cooler temps then factory supplied heat sink. Looks nice and red (works for me as everything is red already) Quiet even at full speed.

Cons: HUGE as in way to huge. I have a full Rosewill Super Tower and it still barely clears side panel.

Covers top SLI video slot basically rendering my 4 way SLI motherboard to being a 3 way SLI.

Impossible to get RAM sticks in IF this is installed on motherboard already. I had to install the ram in the first two slots before I mounted the cooler. Guess I should be happy I purchased 16gb of ram at first as now I would have to tear the entire computer apart just to upgrade the ram.

Not sure I would ever buy this again knowing that it renders so many other things that i find important for my build.

Docked two eggs for all these issues.

NOTE: Coolermaster you may want to fix your instructions as one instruction has I being used and others have J being used on Haswell chips. It took me a bit to figure out which was correct.

Other Thoughts: Needs to clarify install instructions. Installation is an an absolute nightmare. I am not sure you would be able to install this if the motherboard is installed in the case already.

4 out of 5 eggsLove it

Pros: Runs cool, looks really nice, For its size the unit could be louder, quite happy with it.

Cons: MASSIVE, make sure you have a very large tower and a decent size motherboard, kiss your top expansion slot goodbye.

Other Thoughts: I knew going into this that this thing would be big, but i underestimated it. I went from an all copper Zalaman fan to this thing and i'm quite happy

5 out of 5 eggs10 degrees cooler then original for me.

Pros: I have the original V8 & this GTS mounted on twin MSI 990FXA-GD80 Motherboards with the same FX 8350 CPU's & the temp difference is 10 degrees cooler using the GTS. I like that.

Cons: It's huge & for full tower case's only.

Other Thoughts: None

4 out of 5 eggsLooks Very Nice

Pros: Looks very nice. All the fans light up and work .

Cons: Price, installation, cooling. For this price it should cool better. Fins are flimsy compared to my old cheap Artic cooler.

Other Thoughts: Also when i was making this purchase i was looking to see how to go about installing it easier, I read on the comments to use a 10 mm socket and a 6 in. drive well that is wrong it needed a 9 mm socket.

3 out of 5 eggsNot Sure how to feel

Pros: Big, Flashy, Cools Efficiently, Pleasing End Result.

Cons: Annoyingly hard to install, Comes in stereotypical red/black LED configuration, Big (I like it better then say a Noctua NH-D14 but it is still a little too big).

Had to take the fans off to even get it mounted and then ran into clearance issues trying to re-install the fan once it was mounted. (This is an Corsair 750D).

Needless to say this cooler is beyond ridiculously hard to install. Pretty sure you must have the hands of a child to be able to manipulate the small spaces that the provided installation instructions ask you to work with.

I feel it would be much better with some sort of quick release system as opposed to its current mounting approach because the rear retention points on the Intel bracket are impossible to get to if you have any kind of heat sinks around the socket on your Mobo.

I literally had to get a pair of tweezers to thread the retention nut on the back right side because of a heat sink. Needless to say by the time I finally got the thing mounted I felt like I ran a marathon. Some of these issues could be avoided by mounting this cooler on the motherboard while it is outside of the case. Even still its a pain then too unless you are building a completely new computer from scratch instead of swapping out a part for a new one.

Other Thoughts: Overall I really like the product but I had to take away two eggs because the LED lighting is stereotypical and the installation process is beyond frustrating.
