The Cooler Master V8 GTS features a powerful car engine look and massive cooling capability. It offers a high-performance horizontal vapor chamber, and a triple-tower design with eight high-performance heatpipes and two high-airflow LED fans. The horizontal vapor chamber spreads heat up to eight times faster than heatpipes, which minimizes CPU hotspots and quickly balances the heat load between all heatpipes.

  • newegg Superior Cooling Performance Cooler Master's horizontal vapor chamber technology minimizes CPU hotspots and spreads heat evenly to all heatpipes. The triple-tower heatsink, with eight high-performance heatpipes, is optimized for maximum cooling performance. Plus, the dual PWM fans with red LEDs not only offer high airflow, but also eye-catching fun. Fan speed and noise can be fine-tuned and customized.

5 out of 5 eggsIt just works

Pros: Works great

Make sure you have the space to house it, it is a monster
no complains at all
Very nice upgrade from prior versions

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: its not loud at all even when your processor is under decent amount of load

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic CPU Cooler!

Pros: I had one of these in my main build for about two years. I recently built a watercooled rig and the V8 GTS' cooling power is on par, if not better than the temperatures I see compared to watercooling. I rarely saw temperatures climb above 45C during gaming and 38C when idling

Cons: This thing is huge! No need to take off an egg for that though. I was well aware of the size before purchasing, but this thing WILL cover up slots. My top PCI-E slot is unusable after installation, and to swap out Ram would require me to remove the V8 GTS first

Other Thoughts: The V8 GTS is the "cherry on top" for your build. It should be installed last, when you know your build is complete.

I've received multiple comments from people in awe from the size of it alone - aside from its looks.

5 out of 5 eggsSweet!

Pros: -Easy to install on Intel 1151 socket.
-Great thermal dissipation characteristics.
-Really looks great if you have a window chassis. (I assembled my build in my office (IT Firm) and got lots of WOW! remarks from other builders)

Cons: -Size might be an issue for some chassis. Make sure you have the headroom for this thing. Specs are available at CM Site. (Imaging something the size of a softball on top of your proc.)
-Weight is a bit much. Sort of expected this though.

Other Thoughts: -Does require some degree of "smarts" to install properly. The instructions give you the steps to follow. They do not offer suggestions for what NOT to do like crank one nut down and then go to the next.

5 out of 5 eggsGood looking and even better performance!

Pros: - Looks great in any windowed case, provided your PC is a Red/mixed colored build.
- Keeps the cpu very cool, i haven't had it to full-load but it's not gone over 50-55C while playing games in ultra on my i7-4790k.
- Easy enough to install and comes with helpful tools and a small guide (which i didn't use but, overview does seem to look helpful if you need to)
- Quiet enough if you're looking for air cooled solutions
- You can tell people your PC has a V8 in it.

Cons: Instructions could be clearer, for non pc advanced building user's who don't already know how to install the cooler.

Other Thoughts: - One out of 4 areas is annoying to get into place, consider using a very small strip of scotch tape to hold the fasteners on the small tool that is included to lower it into place to tighten.
- It might not fit smaller ATX cases without a convex window.

5 out of 5 eggsHuge... and awesome!

Pros: - Solid construction; feels premium
- Easy setup with simple instructions
- One of the best (if not THE best) air-cooling solution compared to liquid-cooling

Cons: - Setup can be tricky depending on your motherboard layout (it's huge). Recommend patience and a flashlight

Other Thoughts: Did I mention this is huge! It's a great solution for non-liquid cooling and feels very solid. It worked well on my i7 6700K. I did have to spend a little longer on installation due to the closeness of surround motherboard components (i.e. several tiny turns of the supplied tiny wrench) but it was worth it.

3 out of 5 eggsMixed Feeling -- For ATX and Full Tower cases

Pros: - very seamless installation at least of my Gigabyte Z170 gaming 3 motherboard. No need to dissemble.
- works well for overclocking.
- very tough looking and an eyecandy for your friends. Common praise I am getting is that it can look as an automative part (which it is) or just like a Transformer / Decepticon head :)
- LED lighting compliments it

Cons: - can be bulky for other cases; may not even fit on most
- depending on your motherboard, your first PCI slot may not be usable. would not recommend it for non-ATX
- if you like to show off your RAM it could potentially not be seen (on the contrary
- just red LED, wish it can be customized.

Other Thoughts: To me this is my bag of delight except for the fixed LED light, but not something i could just immediately recommend.
Got it cheap for $70

5 out of 5 eggsgreat product

Pros: this thing is a beast works great keeps my AMD FX 8350 cool plus it looks awesome in my level 10GT case . the fan flow seems to be an issue for some on other reviews but in my case it flows perfect to the back right to the exhaust fan on the back . it is quiet no complaints here . was thinking about water cooling but I am not fond of the idea of liquid flowing thru my build that is costly enough to have a leak and cause a headache and wallet ache . my twin nephews think I have a transformer head stuck in there lol . the weight seems a little heavy but not bad .

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: if your not into liquid cooling then this cooler will work just fine for you
I would recommend

4 out of 5 eggsHuge heat sink

Pros: This guy is HUGE! I wasn't quite expecting the heat sink to be this large, but that doesn't keep it from doing a great job. Equipped with two fans, this guy hasn't had any trouble keeping things cool.

Cons: The sides just barely miss making contact with my RAM. I'd be lucky to wedge a penny in the space between the two.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Cooler

Pros: Keeps my cpu cool around 70f and looks great while doing it.

Cons: Visually its great but who ever built mine used to much glue on led mount points.

Other Thoughts: Recommended this cooler to anyone wanting a flashy cpu radiator. Works great on my 6700k cpu no bending issues with cpu.

4 out of 5 eggsIt's a Beast

Pros: So this thing is amazing. It's freaking huge and isn't even that loud. Well it wasn't that loud after I bent some of the parts because the fan was hitting them, but that was an easy fix so no worries. The lights work amazing. Overall I'm pretty happy.

Cons: It's freaking huge. Like super huge. Like a small baby huge. I had to take out some two of my fans to fit it. (Later on I switched motherboards so now the fans for again, but just for warning.) The install took like two tries and it's kind of tricky to reach some spots when you are putting it in your car but heck, it's huge!

Other Thoughts: Imma give this bad baby up for a smaller water cooling heat sink but I would never regret buying this.
