5 out of 5 eggsBypass the controller

This review is from: Cooler Master JetFlo 120 - POM Bearing 120mm High Performance Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators (Black)

Pros: using a 5.25" or 3.5" bay fan controller can bypass this overload of the HXXXi series using this kind of fans

DO not connect the single connector coming out the pump
to the fan controller or you are going to have an error message saying that the cpu fan is not working/faulty

Cons: you cannot OC the speed using any program

4 out of 5 eggsNice Fans on PWM

This review is from: Cooler Master JetFlo 120 - POM Bearing 120mm High Performance Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators (Black)

Pros: This 120mm fan is quite nice on a motherboard with true PWM. PWM lets these fans drop to a slient ~550 RPMs (7% duty cycle), or fly up to a breezy, howling ~2050 RPM (100% duty cycle) as needed. On average in a 75F (20C) room, in my case, the fans run at ~950 RPMs and are very quiet, and ramps up to ~1350 RPM on load and not noisy. The issue with the PWM fan, and truly not its fault, is when connected to a "fake"/non-controlled 4-pin PWM connector it is stuck at 80-100% duty cycle. Now, 1600-2000 RPM is loud and solicits complaint. So double check a board's PWM support before purchase. Sometimes PWM can only be enabled through software, like the ASUS Fan Xpert. on Linux with kernel 3.x, ASUS users can fine tune PWM settings via the nct6775.ko kernel with pwmconfig and fancontrol (lm_sensors package). Overall, these beautifully designed fans are quite good when functional.

Cons: I hinted at the fan's lower reliabilty. Like all electronics equipment, the majority fail either at the beginning or end of their life cycle (MTBF). High end companies will perform X-hours burn-in stress test to weed out that initial bad batch. Oddly two fans I bought both began to go bad after ~20 days, which is abnormally high, thus one egg is deducted from the score.

1 out of 5 eggsLeaking fan

This review is from: Cooler Master JetFlo 120 - POM Bearing 120mm High Performance Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators (Black)

Pros: It moves lots air, good looking fan but...

Cons: It leaks some kind of oil like crazy and they are not silent.

Other Thoughts: After a month I noticed lubricant on the fan and I don't expect this fan to last no more than a year in this condition. The POM bearings are total garbage.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello Anthony P,

We apologize for the trouble that you are experiencing with the Jetflo 120mm fan. The fan does comes with a two year warranty. Please contact us so we can ship you a replacement.

5 out of 5 eggsLovely with radiator

This review is from: Cooler Master JetFlo 120 - POM Bearing 120mm High Performance Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators (Black)

Pros: I had obtained one of these in the blue LED variety. The fan is installed alone with a Corsair H75 in pull configuration and rivals the performance of the stock dual fans in push-pull! So I had to order its twin to see what it can do in push-pull.

Cons: Threading is not like regular case fans with the screws threading into the plastic, but as I am using it for the H75, that isn't a concern.

3 out of 5 eggsI hate POM

This review is from: Cooler Master JetFlo 120 - POM Bearing 120mm High Performance Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators (Black)

Pros: Powerful, Fits in V8 with customization, probably lasts long time with out cleaning of greasing, sounds like a sports car reving up some what, pretty quiet PMW, upgraded old v8 kept my i7-4771 with TPU switch "on "full and performance "on "in bios and fans on turbo setting kept it all on full load "coretemp high stress "10rounds, dint go above 75c :)

Cons: quiet PMW but you can hear it reving a bit when surfing the web errrrrrrr, so its annoying a bit, "not as quiet as my CM V8 sickle rifle fan", had to get sticky felt pads because my v8 was vibrating the window on my CM 310 elite, it helped a lot, just went to dollar store and got felt pad pack, had to custom blade cut rubber and removed 2 of the bars in the rubber then BAM it fit PERFECT in the old V8 cooler master, put it in my girls computer so its on max rpm's, dam thing is going to be running on max speed to break in that dam rubber interior so the dam POM barring can break in so when i put it to the dam i7 4771 PMW it will be quiet i HOPE, WHY THE HELL DID YOU GUYS MAKE IT SO I CAN NOT TAKE IT APART IN THE FUTURE TO GREASE IT,, so what if the old ones break you just take apart clean and grease and slap together, now this pom you cant take apart you cant grease its loud, just make better plastic so it no dry out when we take apart to grease, leave your old rifle bearings, they are better, stupid POM

Other Thoughts: BRING BACK THE OLD, STUPID NEW TECHNOLOGY WITH LIMITATIONS, YOU UNDERSTAND

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic Fan for the price

This review is from: Cooler Master JetFlo 120 - POM Bearing 120mm High Performance Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators (Black)

Pros: High build quality. Sound dampening inserts. Adjustable RPM.

Cons: Each color was a different price with the most expensive being the one that matches my current LEDS and the cheapest being the non-LED version so I got the non colored version.. But that is just a rather irrelevant personal gripe.

Other Thoughts: This fan lowered my Internal speed by 4-5 degrees Celsius.

I have a 120 watt CPU and with my stock case fans I'd hover around 60 degrees under somewhat heavy continual stress..and could reach into the low 60s under full load.

Now I barely clip 60 under full load.

It is quiet, adjustable, moves a lot of air and the quality feel and so far seems to be top notch.

5 out of 5 eggsnice fan

This review is from: Cooler Master JetFlo 120 - POM Bearing 120mm High Performance Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators (Black)

Pros: Moves quite a bit of air. Very sturdy anti vibration mounting brackets. Not too loud.

Cons: Since it has threaded holes for the mounting screws, i had to use theirs to mount it to my Evo 212. since they aren't countersunk, they get in the way on the radiator a little bit. Just had to press harder to get it on, still mounts solid, so not really a con.

Other Thoughts: With this and the 2 other fans running full blast in my case, you can hear they're moving quite a bit of air and keeping things cool. I'm sure it'd be quieter if it wasn't running at 100%, but it's keeping my OC nice and cool.

5 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: Cooler Master JetFlo 120 - POM Bearing 120mm High Performance Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators (Black)

Pros: I bought 2 of these for a push/pull on a hyper 212 EVO and they work great. Keeps my AMD FX-4350 quad-core 4.2 ghz running at 30C at idle and around 38C while playing games.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I also bought a PWM fan splitter because my motherboard only had 1 cpu PWM header so I can hook both of these up to it and they've been running great.

5 out of 5 eggsBetter than average fans

This review is from: Cooler Master JetFlo 120 - POM Bearing 120mm High Performance Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators (Black)

Pros: Some of the best fans I have installed so far. The included harnesses allow you to slow the fans without adding fan controller, and if your board does not allow easy fan tweaking software (ASUS does).

Cons: Bolts and captive nuts can be tricky to get together correctly. Use a hand driver, NOT a power tool, very easy to damage the threads. The captive nut spins way too easy, hold a finger on the back while carefully starting the bolt.
