4 out of 5 eggsSuperb (minus 1)

This review is from: Cooler Master JetFlo 120 - POM Bearing 120mm High Performance Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators (Black)

Pros: SPEED! These things are the definition of BEAST MODE! They move a crazy amount of air and work perfectly for radiators. Keeps all the air moving and heat out of my HAF XB
LEDs in the center radiate a good glow (I bought 2 black for the front, 3 blue for inside lighting) All run together at the same speed and flow for a great balance with a nice color. Lots of compliments on them.

Cons: LOUD ... for fans... on max. You can use resistor harnesses (included) to slow them down to quiet them, but you lose the awesome speed and flow. Truthfully unless your head is right by them, you won't notice once any audio starts up, but no lie, they are loud. But if you are set on performance, there are few fans that can perform as well, none for the price of these.

Other Thoughts: Just outside of my 1 year marker 1 of 5 (not bad statistically) starts ticking. Narrowed it down to my front black JetFlo. Bearing are going out, not even close to 160,000 hours, but it is what it is. I plan to buy another after the holiday to replace it, 4 out of 5 still running strong keeps me happy and the case still stays cold even with 1 down, but I can't give a full 5 eggs seeing that I have to replace one so soon. Still a great buy and well worth the money for the performance, just sad that it failed after the warranty went out. Just my luck lol

4 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: Cooler Master JetFlo 120 - POM Bearing 120mm High Performance Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators (Black)

Pros: Well built. Moves a ton of air!!! Quiet when ran at a low PWM %.

Cons: Incredibly loud at moderate to high speeds. Neither of the speed resistors are silent, not even close! This fan needs to be controlled via PWM for best results.

Other Thoughts: This fan is loud, but smooth. if you control it via PWM it actually can be silent and has none of the ticking or bearing noise some fans exhibit at low power. it's nice to have a true dual purpose fan. I run it in a silverstone HTPC case and at 20% PWM it is inaudible from my seating position. once A game kicks in I can justify a bit of noise and it's keeps my components cool without having to spin all the way up.

5 out of 5 eggsDuuuuuude, the air-flow!!!

This review is from: Cooler Master JetFlo 120 - POM Bearing 120mm High Performance Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators (Black)

Pros: When I say air-flow, I mean suckin' a golf ball through a garden hose!! 95cfm, are you kidding me?? Perfect for attaching to water cooling radiators with superior cooling capabilities.

Cons: If I didn't wear a gaming headset, noise would be a mild issue at worst... So no eggs lost there!!

1 out of 5 eggsBAD

This review is from: Cooler Master JetFlo 120 - POM Bearing 120mm High Performance Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators (Black)

Pros: The fan moves a LOT of air!
Good rubber grommets on 4 corners.
DON'T use as top mounted exhaust fans.

Cons: You can't use them as exhaust fans on a top mounted radiator!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They make a HORRIBLE noise when upside down.
I can hear that **** from 4 doors down!

Other Thoughts: It work work when mounted vertically.

5 out of 5 eggsI love these fans!

This review is from: Cooler Master JetFlo 120 - POM Bearing 120mm High Performance Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators (Black)

Pros: 95 CFM! WOW these things can move some air. I say it, but I won't break an egg for it, they are loud if you ramp them up! We ALL can read the specs. I had 2 of these on a Thermaltake C5 and NEVER heard them running on PWM from a Crosshair V, kept my AMD 8350 at 30°C +/- all the time. I just bought these for push pull on a Corsair H100i...hopefully I can get better numbers! I can't say enough good about these JetFlo fans...AWESOME cooling potential...and quiet if you don't run them full blast!

Cons: NONE

5 out of 5 eggsBest fans I've found

This review is from: Cooler Master JetFlo 120 - POM Bearing 120mm High Performance Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators (Black)

Pros: The best fans I've found, better than Corsair ones but with some warning to be aware of listed in cons.

Cons: The Jet Flo draw more power, require 4 pins connectors and make more noise.

Other Thoughts: Corsair ones use 3 pin, are more silent but if you can accept the noise from Jet Flo fans or you can manage to set them at specific RPM using somekind of 4 pins fans controllers, you will get the best cooling fans performance I've found, for airflow (instake, exhaust) AND for radiator cooling. Two resistance adaptor are inluded with each Jet Flo fans which help to get 2 specific RPM range which are 1200rpm and 1600rpm if I remember well.

5 out of 5 eggsBypass the controller

This review is from: Cooler Master JetFlo 120 - POM Bearing 120mm High Performance Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators (Black)

Pros: using a 5.25" or 3.5" bay fan controller can bypass this overload of the HXXXi series using this kind of fans

DO not connect the single connector coming out the pump
to the fan controller or you are going to have an error message saying that the cpu fan is not working/faulty

Cons: you cannot OC the speed using any program

4 out of 5 eggsNice Fans on PWM

This review is from: Cooler Master JetFlo 120 - POM Bearing 120mm High Performance Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators (Black)

Pros: This 120mm fan is quite nice on a motherboard with true PWM. PWM lets these fans drop to a slient ~550 RPMs (7% duty cycle), or fly up to a breezy, howling ~2050 RPM (100% duty cycle) as needed. On average in a 75F (20C) room, in my case, the fans run at ~950 RPMs and are very quiet, and ramps up to ~1350 RPM on load and not noisy. The issue with the PWM fan, and truly not its fault, is when connected to a "fake"/non-controlled 4-pin PWM connector it is stuck at 80-100% duty cycle. Now, 1600-2000 RPM is loud and solicits complaint. So double check a board's PWM support before purchase. Sometimes PWM can only be enabled through software, like the ASUS Fan Xpert. on Linux with kernel 3.x, ASUS users can fine tune PWM settings via the nct6775.ko kernel with pwmconfig and fancontrol (lm_sensors package). Overall, these beautifully designed fans are quite good when functional.

Cons: I hinted at the fan's lower reliabilty. Like all electronics equipment, the majority fail either at the beginning or end of their life cycle (MTBF). High end companies will perform X-hours burn-in stress test to weed out that initial bad batch. Oddly two fans I bought both began to go bad after ~20 days, which is abnormally high, thus one egg is deducted from the score.

1 out of 5 eggsLeaking fan

This review is from: Cooler Master JetFlo 120 - POM Bearing 120mm High Performance Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators (Black)

Pros: It moves lots air, good looking fan but...

Cons: It leaks some kind of oil like crazy and they are not silent.

Other Thoughts: After a month I noticed lubricant on the fan and I don't expect this fan to last no more than a year in this condition. The POM bearings are total garbage.

Manufacturer Response:
