2 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: Cooler Master JetFlo 120 - POM Bearing 120mm High Performance Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators (Black)

Pros: I like the pwm feature and the rubber mounting corners,

Cons: even at low and middle Rome this thing buzzes and I'm not enthusiastic about using the inline resistor. The fan blades are very thin and that's what I suspect the problem is.

2 out of 5 eggsJetFlo 120 Fan

This review is from: Cooler Master JetFlo 120 - POM Bearing 120mm High Performance Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators (Black)

Pros: This fan has the potential to move a lot of air and the cost was not bad for this type of fan. As of the time of this review the fan comes with a $5 rebate that you have to mail in to receive.

Cons: LOUD. This fan is noisy! I have never heard a fan this loud. I am sure that it is much louder than the specifications state. I even tried using the fan both blowing in and out of the unit and there was not change in the noise.

Other Thoughts: Unless noise is not an issue, I would stay away from this fan. I had much more to say on my first attempt at this review but it was never posted due to something I said that may have tested the guidelines.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello Robert,

I am sorry that the fan did not suit your preferences.

5 out of 5 eggsThis thing moves some air

This review is from: Cooler Master JetFlo 120 - POM Bearing 120mm High Performance Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators (Black)

Pros: Extremely high airflow, silent at low speeds

Cons: At 100% this thing is loud

Other Thoughts: I keep it around 1000RPM and I can't hear it 3 feet from my head.

1 out of 5 eggsJunk

This review is from: Cooler Master JetFlo 120 - POM Bearing 120mm High Performance Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators (Black)

Pros: None. Never worked

Cons: Fan never powered up. Tried on two different power supplies and other fans would work but this never powered up. Blades spin freely just not under it's own power. To make this worse, RMA shipping will cost more than half of purchase price. I've used various cooler master products in the past but I'm very disapointed with this fan and will have to rethink buying their products in the future.

3 out of 5 eggs1 bad 1 good

This review is from: Cooler Master JetFlo 120 - POM Bearing 120mm High Performance Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators (Black)

Pros: Cool LED bling

Cons: One of the two didn't work.

Other Thoughts: Bought 2, but 1 had a loud weird sound like it was off-center or something. WD40 didn't help. I sent it back directly to CoolerMaster and they replaced it with one that worked properly.

I don't know if I just got unlucky, but just reporting what happened to me... my $17.00 fan got more expensive with more shipping.

Working fans work fine. Yes they're loud when at full speed, that's what a good mobo is for.... to tune the fan speeds.

3 out of 5 eggsMisleading

This review is from: Cooler Master JetFlo 120 - POM Bearing 120mm High Performance Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators (Black)

Pros: Moves lots of air, and produces lots or pressure

Cons: I read the specs compared to some Corsair SP120's that I was considering swapping these for. I was astonished at how much louder these were even though the specs say they're only within 1 dbA. I could have just hooked up a leaf-blower and gotten the experience. I have to run them between 50 and 70 percent on my pwm controller, and only while gaming. I would never put these in my officer rig

Other Thoughts: These sure do push a lot of air, I'll be benchmarking them on a radiator against the Corsairs and have no doubt they'll drive down temperatures a few degrees extra during peak. However, the noise at max is definitely not 36 dbA. I have a dbA meter coming for when I compare all these fans, I might come back and update.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,

We sincerely apologize for the trouble you had with the fan. The reason they are a bit louder at max speed is because at max speed they have more airflow than the SP120's. The more airflow the fan has, the more noise it will generate. If you wish to further troubleshoot this or make sure the fans are working properly, please contact us so we can be of assistance.

Respectfully,

CMUSA Support.

4 out of 5 eggsJet Flo 120s

This review is from: Cooler Master JetFlo 120 - POM Bearing 120mm High Performance Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators (Black)

Pros: Moves a boat load of air. Like seriously a lot. Was very impressed with the quality of the fans. Surprisingly heavy. Rubber grommets are very nice.

Cons: These puppies are LOUD. When running at full speed it is literally unacceptable. I installed two and wheni fired my rig up, it literally scared me. I thought something was going to explode.

Other Thoughts: With the voltage limiters the fans are perfect.

4 out of 5 eggsSuperb (minus 1)

This review is from: Cooler Master JetFlo 120 - POM Bearing 120mm High Performance Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators (Black)

Pros: SPEED! These things are the definition of BEAST MODE! They move a crazy amount of air and work perfectly for radiators. Keeps all the air moving and heat out of my HAF XB
LEDs in the center radiate a good glow (I bought 2 black for the front, 3 blue for inside lighting) All run together at the same speed and flow for a great balance with a nice color. Lots of compliments on them.

Cons: LOUD ... for fans... on max. You can use resistor harnesses (included) to slow them down to quiet them, but you lose the awesome speed and flow. Truthfully unless your head is right by them, you won't notice once any audio starts up, but no lie, they are loud. But if you are set on performance, there are few fans that can perform as well, none for the price of these.

Other Thoughts: Just outside of my 1 year marker 1 of 5 (not bad statistically) starts ticking. Narrowed it down to my front black JetFlo. Bearing are going out, not even close to 160,000 hours, but it is what it is. I plan to buy another after the holiday to replace it, 4 out of 5 still running strong keeps me happy and the case still stays cold even with 1 down, but I can't give a full 5 eggs seeing that I have to replace one so soon. Still a great buy and well worth the money for the performance, just sad that it failed after the warranty went out. Just my luck lol

4 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: Cooler Master JetFlo 120 - POM Bearing 120mm High Performance Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators (Black)

Pros: Well built. Moves a ton of air!!! Quiet when ran at a low PWM %.

Cons: Incredibly loud at moderate to high speeds. Neither of the speed resistors are silent, not even close! This fan needs to be controlled via PWM for best results.

Other Thoughts: This fan is loud, but smooth. if you control it via PWM it actually can be silent and has none of the ticking or bearing noise some fans exhibit at low power. it's nice to have a true dual purpose fan. I run it in a silverstone HTPC case and at 20% PWM it is inaudible from my seating position. once A game kicks in I can justify a bit of noise and it's keeps my components cool without having to spin all the way up.
