5 out of 5 eggsI was surpirsed

Pros: I gave up on Cooler Master Brand years ago. Saw price on black friday, was so cheap I had to try. I am VERY impressed so far, very quiet, I cant hear them running and they push lots of air. I am impressed and I will purchase these again.

Cons: They came with silver fan screws, most cases are black but thats nothing to remove an egg for.. Nothing of importance

3 out of 5 eggs1 out of 4 DOA

Pros: cheap fans replacement for stock fans, the three that do work work fine with low enough noise for the price.

Cons: 1 out of 4 was DOA

Other Thoughts: test before installing into your case

2 out of 5 eggsSkimpy construction, much noisier than Cougar Vortex

Pros: The main pro is the pack is cheap, especially after a $5 rebate.

Cons: The cons are several. First, the construction of the fans is cheap. The plastic looks low-quality, and they have lots of obvious imperfections (scuffing and bumps from poor molding in the plastic blades). The cables are loose, not sleeved. The packaging is thin, ultra-cheap cardboard with sharp edges that are determined to cut you when you open it if you make even the slightest sideways motion.

Finally, the noise claims are bunk. They claim less than 2 dB greater noise than the Cougar Vortex CF-V12H fan. Both are rated at 1200 rpm. I ran them on a Kingwin FPX003 fan controller. At the lowest setting, the Coolermaster was not overbearing, but it was definitely audible over my Cougar Vortex at full speed on the same controller and Corsair C70 case stock fans plugged into the motherboard rear/aux jacks. At the highest setting the Coolermaster was downright annoying.

Other Thoughts: They are just cheaply made, generic, 120mm fans with no clear benefit other than price.

Also, for whatever reason, adding one as either an intake or an exhaust on the side panel of my Corsair C70 case actually increased the CPU temperature, rather than decreasing it. Removing it returned the CPU to previous temperature. The only explanation I can think of is disturbing the airflow near the heatsink in an undesirable way, but the point is, simply adding more fans to your case is not necessarily going to help for cooling, but it will definitely add more noise and weight.

My suggestion is to buy better quality fans like the Cougar Vortex (they have been on rebate several times at least at a competitor's site), or maybe Noctua fans, which I've seen good reviews of and would like to try if I can get a good price. First of all, you'll have a much more pleasant unboxing and installation experience from simply admiring the quality of their construction and attention to detail in the design and packaging. Secondly, they won't be so noisy.

5 out of 5 eggsCools well

Pros: For the performance, this is a well priced cooler. Quiet-But effective cooling solution.

Cons: Not a real con, but this puppy is pretty big! Had to lose a side panel cooling fan to fit it in my Mid ATX case.

Other Thoughts: Few pieces of advise-
Thin=win on Thermo paste. Cover the entire chip edge to edge with a thin film for max transfer of heat.

This cooler is big, it may block one of your memory slots-check your mobo before you purchase.

Remember, the back plate is just that, it goes on the backside of the Motherboard. I saw a review somewhere that the individual tried putting this plate on the front-side and messed things up.

3 out of 5 eggsFans

Pros: *

Cons: *

Other Thoughts: **An update to my last review**
I just installed the 4th fan and it's bad - makes a fair amount of clicking noise and a slight grinding even when hand spun.
Not such a great value when 1 of 4 is bad.
Now it's making me wonder how long the others are going to last.

4 out of 5 eggsBox-o-fans

Pros: *Good price
*decent airflow
*pretty quiet
*screws included

Cons: I knocked an egg off for a couple of the screws being 80% stripped of threads. Not a big deal for me but for others this could be annoying
