1 out of 5 eggsWorst buy ever

This review is from: Cooler Master Seidon 120V - Compact All-In-One CPU Liquid Water Cooling System with 120mm Radiator and Fan

Pros: Cooled well

Cons: Lasted just over 7 months

Other Thoughts: Sent in for warranty, surprise they're out of stock for the one I bought.. not really because they're still for sell online at twice the price.. they finally refunded my puechase after 5 months waiting to get my product back. Now I can pay more for something i already owned and the company did not honor the warranty it claimed it comes with. Very very very bad company to deal with.. never again will i say anyone should get this brand. Worst experience i ever had with ANY company

5 out of 5 eggsNICE

This review is from: Cooler Master Seidon 120V - Compact All-In-One CPU Liquid Water Cooling System with 120mm Radiator and Fan

Pros: if you are doing a new build then its an easy fit. not so much if you are upgrading. the latter is my case (no pun intended) so it was all but a tear down. i was able to get my bracket behind my board once i unscrewed it from the case and lifted it on an angle. with that said, its been well over a week and my first experience with liquid cooling and i very am satisfied. my case has no 120mm fan space so i ended up mounting onto the side panel of my case on the air vents. couple added drill holes and its a nice fit. hoses (in my cases case) are long and were bending up into the fan but a couple of zip ties and its not only out of the way but when i take the side off its far more stabilized.

for $50 that's was a nice entry point. i used performance test 64 which is free for 30 days but may be worth buying, have to check the price.

i was at 33C when the full test started, by the end i hit 62C. at 1024 by 768 i was flying over 1200 fps at 4x, and it didnt even hit 46C. same size but full screen on 42" tv (see pic) 77 fps at 8x. sapphire dual x R9 280. my quad core is a 3700 cpu and it has the turbo so not even over clocked it would peak at 4200 all 100% load.

Cons: none and lets hope not. fluid and cpu no matchey!!

Other Thoughts: i have 2 fans, they are on the R9 and at 25% when i did the test. before the cooler i had 5 fans, front rear case, heat sink cpu, and the 2 on vid card and it was 5C hotter. i will put a fan in one at a time and see where i end up with temps and if i can get lower i will update. if its insignificant i wont even keep them in. oh and the fan with this unit is so quite, you have to listen for it, then you have to listen to it to make sure its what you hear! **UPDATE** coming up on year and not a problem. the occasional dust cleaning and good to go. I have my fan blowing thru and out while. It is one of 2 exhaust fans; one back and radiator up top with 2 120 mm fans drawing in and GPU card fans helping circulate. great product, and currently looking at the 240 rads' with the link which are the same price ($99) as this. I don't get that!

3 out of 5 eggsCheap in both senses of the word

This review is from: Cooler Master Seidon 120V - Compact All-In-One CPU Liquid Water Cooling System with 120mm Radiator and Fan

Pros: You can't argue with the price. It’s easy to install on an LGA-2011-v3 socket.

Cons: The pump has a noticeable buzzing or humming noise that I can’t get rid of. Based on some other reviews I’ve read, this is a common problem. I tried playing around with the fan settings in UEFI as other reviewers suggested. This made the noise subside somewhat, but it’s still there and very annoying. I guess this is what you get at this price point. If you can tolerate the noise, go for it, but this is a deal breaker for me.

Other Thoughts: Used to cool an Intel Core i7 5930K.

1 out of 5 eggsNo customer support

This review is from: Cooler Master Seidon 120V - Compact All-In-One CPU Liquid Water Cooling System with 120mm Radiator and Fan

Pros: N/A

Cons: This product stopped working shortly after I got it. Since this was my first liquid cooler, and the pump light was indicating that it was working, it took me a while to figure out the pump wasn't working.

Other Thoughts: I've been trying for days to contact Cooler Master for warranty support through email and their support website with no response. The website won't allow me to make an account, which is required for a warranty claim. My emails have gone unanswered. The live chat support won't load. I have 2 weeks left on my warranty, and I'm nervous I won't get to put in a claim before it expires.

The customer support is bad enough that I would not consider another Cooler Master product.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello Brandon,

We are sorry you are having trouble contacting us. Please submit a RMA request through CM fanzone for a replacement.

1 out of 5 eggsUpdated Review - Don't buy this product

This review is from: Cooler Master Seidon 120V - Compact All-In-One CPU Liquid Water Cooling System with 120mm Radiator and Fan

Pros: -If it work it might keep your CPU cooler

Cons: -Did not outperform an air cooler at half its cost
-Pump does die on this unit
-When the pump is "functional" it may not pump fluid and requires multiple restarts to coax back to doing its job
-At the moment it cost the same as any other well functioning AIO so avoid the stress
-Not one more sale should go towards this product by a single soul

Other Thoughts: The bottom line is it a poor performer that often stop functioning at all. Most people have had to endure dealing with horrible RMA support, if they get any at all. For the same or even less the price you can purchase half a dozen better functioning air/water coolers. Cooler Master should have pulled this product from end of point sales and refuses to do so even though its at End of Life status. Meaning they don't even make them anymore. If for what ever reason you purchase this paper weight it should reflect poor decision making on your own behalf. Don't purchase for the sake of your own hard earned cash.

2 out of 5 eggseasy to install...ish. too loud for my taste.

This review is from: Cooler Master Seidon 120V - Compact All-In-One CPU Liquid Water Cooling System with 120mm Radiator and Fan

Pros: As described, an entirely inclusive unit that was easy to install

Cons: Too loud for my delicate ears, and once that was decided I had to remove the unit. Removing the unit meant pulling the motherboard all the way out of my case. So, less than ideal, but not so hard that I was willing to put up with the noise.

Manufacturer Response:

1 out of 5 eggsCooler Master Seidon 120V (DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT)

This review is from: Cooler Master Seidon 120V - Compact All-In-One CPU Liquid Water Cooling System with 120mm Radiator and Fan

Pros: it was cheep

Cons: died after 2 years and fried my cpu basically now im getting 1/2 the FPS in games and USB ports malfunction but when I pulled up the temp my i7 4770k WAS TACKED AT 99C meaning it was thermal throttling to prevent it from dying and still fried it.... so if you want to put it on a 300.00 CPU and have it fail without warning and fry your stuff go for it......

2 out of 5 eggsBelieve the negative feedback

This review is from: Cooler Master Seidon 120V - Compact All-In-One CPU Liquid Water Cooling System with 120mm Radiator and Fan

Pros: Non

Cons: Loud
dies in 2 years

Other Thoughts: Its funny cause I came back to this product to see if there an updated version because I finally couldn't take how loud this cooling system was. As i was reading though the feed back some people was saying after 2 years the cooling system dies. I went and check when i brought my cool master seidon and it was back in 2014. I was like "well mine is still running fine"I kid you not but literally after a day of looking at those comment my computer started acting weird. After a process of elimination i open up my computer to find that the cooler master was hot to the touch i took it out and put in the fan that came with the CPU and all went back to normal. This cooling system will dies after 2 years and if it hasn't it will die soon.

1 out of 5 eggsGarbage

This review is from: Cooler Master Seidon 120V - Compact All-In-One CPU Liquid Water Cooling System with 120mm Radiator and Fan

Pros: Cools decently

Cons: This is a classic example of "you get what you pay for"
-Immense Coil Whine/Pump Noise
-Loud
-Really Loud
-So much noise, I can't really hear myself think
-Hard tubing with very little flex

Other Thoughts: For just a few bucks more you can get a Corsair Hx0 that is quiet and works well, go do that, stay away from this thing.

1 out of 5 eggsDO NOT BUY!

This review is from: Cooler Master Seidon 120V - Compact All-In-One CPU Liquid Water Cooling System with 120mm Radiator and Fan

Pros: -Works as advertised for a while

Cons: -This item is eol and they will NOT replace it
-Mine broke within the warranty period.
-Support refuses to refund

Other Thoughts: I opened a ticket with cooler master and they set up an rma quickly. I sent the unit back. A few weeks went by without hearing anything. I opened a ticket on their website and they would respond always a few days to over a week between my posts. They said they don't sell the Seidon 120V any more and cannot ship me another one but instead they can refund me the cost. That kinda sucks because I got a really good deal for it and I'm not sure I can get another one for the same cost. Anyways they asked for my email to send a paypal payment. Days go by and then weeks go by. Those a$$hats just closed the ticket. I reopened it and now they aren't responding to me. Do not buy this! If it breaks within the warranty period you will lose your money.
