Effective, roomy

Pros: Fit perfectly on my DDR2 PC2-6400 800Mhz overclock 860Mhz with no sign heat under 5hr heavy gaming.

Cons: I buy it at a slightly higher price than newegg. I should of had check newegg first :(

Other Thoughts: If you want to use 4 mem stick, then this heatspreader won't block adjacent stick. Buy it!!

Work Great for Cooling Server RAM

Pros: I had a server (SuperMicro Server MB) that was losing memory everytime I rebooted it. Finally figured out that the 8 DDR2 chips were overheating when I burned my fingers trying to take them out. I put these heatsinks on along with the VIZO VIZO-RCL-301 Tri-Fan RAM Cooler and overheating hasn't been a problem since.

Cons: A real pain to install. Very time consuming. I found it worked out better just to take the little hex screws completely out and separate the plates rather than trying to fit the chips inbetween with the thermal tape attached.

Other Thoughts: They do stick out quite a bit. Make sure you have room in your case for at least twice the height of a standard DDR2 chip. Make sure you get the screws tight so the pipe & fins aren't just flopping around in their either.

Pros: over one year using this ram heatsink experience. this thing fit ANY ram and cool down the temp right the way.

Cons: NONE. just make sure renew the Thermal Compound between heatsink and heat pipe every 12 or 18 months.

Cool boards last longer

Pros: If you plan on running intensive applications, you need these, they really do cool the memory chips. Assembly was actually easy once I developed a technique.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Be aware that the cushions are very pliable-if you pull the tape on one side and set on the plate then pull the tape off the other side, the cushion will elongate just like clay so pull the tape slowing. If you must trim, use a sharp knife and only cut against the aluminum plate. Don't forget to add the thermal grease to the heatpipe.

Pros: Slim in design so you can use all of your memory slots. For me they are great. Using DDR2 800. Use to crash when I started getting the memory close to 1000. Runs stable and cool at 1000.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Been using Thermaltake products for a while and not once have they let me down, yet.
