4 out of 5 eggsCool Blue

Pros: *Keeps HD cool
*Complements PC lighting (especially with an windowed case)

Cons: *Can be rather bulky & hard to fit

Other Thoughts: Can be a snug fit to add this to your HD if you have a smaller case.

5 out of 5 eggsThermaltake a2427 HDD blue LED fan/ cooler

Pros: - Pushes a good amount of air for the size
- Very quiet
- Goes on top of 3.5" HDD

Cons: - Goes on top of HDD does not fit in a spare bay / area. Therefore it may not allow other bay's above/below to be used.
- Goes on bottom of HDD, I turned mine upside down to be able to see the LED's. No biggy really

Other Thoughts: I bought two to get the discount, going to put the other one on my WD black 1tb when it goes back on sale, no rush in ordering at this time. Keeps my HDD about the same as my SSD temps. It hotter ambient temps my HDD was at about 50-55 , sometimes pushing 60 >.< Put this on it and it hasn't gone above 40. The heat index was like 110 with 100 degree temps outside. No A/C therefore my ambient temps was the problem.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat fan

Pros: I just installed this cooler a few days ago, it looks great and works very well. The blue led's do work pretty nicely and add to all of my other blue led fans in my PC.

Cons: The only con is that is does take up one spot for an hddd. But I had read that in the review someone else had put up so I knew in the beggining that it would. Also I don't like the way the connector is set up because instead of it being a two ended IDE connector it has a second IDE connector split off of it for another fan to connect to, taking up more space unfortunately.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome!

Pros: Im a computer techs, and been building and retaking apart computers for awhie.
It's shows that cooling your computer hardware is last longer.
I got many different computers.
Had one computer from 2005, Still runs and all i replace was the Power supplys, And the HHD everything else works use that for ubuntu.
But didn't have a hhd cooler for this one.

Cons: You are looking for a cheap cooling devices, For you pc i recommend getting this one, if you don't like the leds you can always get a otherone. For people who plays games and your hhd get hot i recommend getting cheap and come with free shipping.

Other Thoughts: It's led fans, witch i got 4 led fans, so it perfect. It quiet to.

3 out of 5 eggsgood fans but one died on me

Pros: I purchased 3 of these about 5 months ago. Today i was looking at my pc and noticed the one for my middle drive was not working, and after looking closer the fan itself was bent and hanging slightly to the side...... I know it was working for at least 4 months before it died. But this is bad if a fan only last barely 4 months... I have an older thermal take fan from 2005 that is still going strong but the bearings are horribly loud which is why i purchased 3 of these new led fans. Ive had many fans before and non have died so fast. In fact most fans last me 2-3 years before the bearing even starts making nouse.
Overall these are fancy looking fans that do work well, but reliability of these is questionable.
So far the other 2 are going strong and very quiet, no bearing noise and working as they should be.

Cons: 1 out of 3 purchased died on me in less then 4 months.....otherwise i would have given 5 stars.
Mainly mad due to having to spend time tracing wires behind my pc case due to having all my wires hidden/tucked away.....If one of these didnt die on me, i would not have to trace wires all morning... grrrrr.

Other Thoughts: I will have to buy another one of these to replace the one that died and so they match with my other 2.......
This time i labeled my hd power wires 1-3, so if one does die again it will be easier to replace.

3 out of 5 eggsCheap and effective

Pros: Cools the drive down quite well. Inexpensive.

Cons: Makes lots of noise for first half hour until it warms up. And it's getting worse.

Other Thoughts: Buy the Scythe SCIT-1000 instead. Twice the price, but silent and just as effective.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Works well.

Cons: You may have to bend your guide rails so you can mount install the HDD, not really a con unless you don't own a pair of pliers

5 out of 5 eggsIt works

Pros: Quiet, low profile and has lasted more then a year and still going strong. Cheap protection to keep your hard drives cool.

Cons: It does need extra space so you will need to space your drives on every other rack.

Other Thoughts: I'm buying a full tower case, so I finally have enough space to add more fans (one for every hard drive). These fans are really underrated, and really lower the HD temp even if the drive bay already has a case fan.
