Just as there's no such thing as too much power, there's no such thing as too much cooling. Thermaltake brings high-powered cooling to AMD and Intel users – and does it with style. Geared to support gamers and high-end enthusiasts in their battle against excess heat, the Thermaltake CL-P0466 CPU cooler features 50 waved aluminum fins -- shaped in classic cylinder figure – spirally arrayed around an 80mm 1600RPM fan.

The patented fin design provides superior airflow and maximum surface area for efficient heat dissipation with multi-directional heat exhaust. The ultra-quiet 19dBA sound level and white LED in the fan provide a whisper-silent, stylish addition to your system. Plus the Thermaltake also supplies universal compatibility with multiple AMD and Intel sockets for your convenience.

Great

This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: Great CPU cooler. I am using an AMD Phenom II X4 and with the stock cooler i would idle around 43-46C and now with this bad boy I idle around 36-37C thats around 7-9C? not too shabby. I would of hopped for it to idle around the low 30s but im satisfied. Ran prime 95 for a few minutes and reached the 53C at the most. My CPU is at stock no overclocking.
Cons: The thing that holds the heatsink on top of the CPU is not sturdy (for AMD users at least). Even after you place it and lock it it can still slide on the CPU a little bit. This thing is not big its GINORMOUS!!!! I have a Thermaltake armor+ but someone considering to buy this with a small case can forget it. I don't think i can overclock my CPU too much with this cooler or it will get too hot.
Other Thoughts: Mine came with the LGA 1366 pins I don't know why some people didn't get theirs with theirs. I would have expected more form this cooler but hey does the job. Definitely an upgrade from a stock cooler.

Pros: Great design blue light .. temp only rises as the room temperature does.. idles my cpu at 33 - 40C
Cons: if u move it on the cpu it will slide. not really a con but its huge get the right sized case
Other Thoughts: make sure you put the right amount of paste on your cpu.. though it does slide on the cpu u have to put a little force on it

Excellent cooler

This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: Yes, it's large and bulky. Yes, it seems like it weights a ton (it doesn't), and yes it cools the heck out of my i7 950 overclocked processor.
Cons: This is not easy to install if the motherboard is in the case. Best bet it to build the motherboard on the bench, then install.

Also, watch the fan direction, you don't want the fan exhaust fighting with a case fan.

Beautiful

This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: Absolutely gorgeous. Like the dispersal of airflow from the cage - cools nearby components on the mobo. I purchased this for use with an EVGA X58 758 mobo in an open acrylic tech station (Microcool Banchetto 101) and looks were my paramount interest, as this system wouldn't be seriously overclocked beyond ELEET tuning, and the Spin-Q would be in open ambient air.
Cons: No PWM. Sure you can just turn it up and leave it at full, but the additional cabling for the controller is messy in an open case. Sort of like buying a Carrera 4 and the whale tail motor doesn't work. And I just don't like (trust?) push pins - even from Tt. Installation options limited by heatpipes conflicting with caps on my EVGA 758 mobo.
Other Thoughts: Tt - please consider offering an optional backplate. Buy it for the great design. Also, even knowing the dimensions won't insure a clean fit/install. It would be great if manufacturers offered low rez scaled CAD drawings to see the 3 dimensional fit.

This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: Great looks and seems to keep cpu cool. It also moves air over memory.
Cons: Because of it's size it was a little tricky installing it, but not overly hard.
Other Thoughts: I haven't stressed this new build computer with any heavy loads yet. But if and when I do I think this cooler well do the job. installed on a i5 750 cpu not overly overclocked.
