Pros: Cools my stock 15-3550p great. Maximum Temp running Prime95 burn in test is 59c. Which is great. Fan is not too loud and you can setup automatic fan control on BIOS of your Mobo so its not always on full. Running battlefield 3 I never see temps (per core) go above 55c.

Easy install. Great solution over the stock intel fan. Mounting is tight and rigid. Seems very durable. Its large than the stock intel fan as well. If you plan on over-clocking huge amount then maybe going with a heat-pipe or copper solution with a larger fan is more wise. However, I can see this little guy handling a 500-800 OC with a voltage bump.

Cons: 1 of the mounting screws broke when installing... looks like metal was crystallized... -1 egg for cheapness. should work with 3/4 though.

Pros: Far superior mounting arrangement as compared to Intel's stock cooler. Very mechanically stable.

Easy to install, although you'll need access to the underside of the motherboard.

Fan is quiet at lower speeds and the unit cools fine.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Considering the cost of Intel processors, they should include a better quality cooler. (like this one)

Pros: Impossible to attach wrong.
Cools computer properly.
Comes with thermal grease applied to the heatsink.

Cons: Have to remove MB to install back plate (unless your case has a cutout for this).
Fan makes high pitched whine at high RPM.

Other Thoughts: This is what the Intel stock cooler should have been. This item attaches with screws so, unlike the stock heat sink, once you have screw-ed down the pins you're good to go.

Pros: - Fantastic Mounting System, mounting screws have an outer barrel that meets up with the backing plate, preventing over-tightening

- Powerful Fan

- Good Mass for the application

Cons: The only thing I can thing of improving would be to add a copper core. I think people would be more than willing to pay the difference in money to have a small, low profile cooler that has a backing plate and is effective.

Also, this is NOT recommended for overclocking the higher powered LGA-1155/1156 processors.

Other Thoughts: As a system builder I've been faced with the agony of worrying about stock intel coolers falling off during shipment (which actually happened once). The discovery of this unit means I'll never have to worry about that again. The rock-solid mounting system means that it has zero chance of being dislodged during shipment, while it's reasonably low center of gravity means it's unlikely to damage the motherboard.

As mentioned in the "cons" section, this unit is best served as a replacement to the stock cooler with a better mounting system. I ran Intel Burn Test on the i5-2500k at high stress and it maxed out at 71C in a pretty warm room. Not terrible, but it's a sign that it wouldn't be suited to higher and higher clock speeds. This fact gave me an immense appreciation for my Cooler Master Hyper 212+, which for a $30 unit, provides unbelievable cooling ability.

For a regular user running stock speeds, this thing is fantastic.
