5 out of 5 eggsVery big, but works good.

Pros: Works to keep your processor very cool. If you can get past the frustration of the install, you will be rewarded with a very good running cool fan. After it was finally in, it works great- keeps the intel 5820K average between all six cores at idle- 34,degrees Celsius and under load -38 degrees Celsius.
Was a pain, but was worth it in the end.

Cons: Hard to install. The fan clips are a pain. It took two of us 35 minutes to put in and take out then put in again. Completely covers the first two sticks of Ram. The fan will have to be removed if the ram needs replaced. Can hear the load fan running all the time, but keeps it cool.

Other Thoughts: Build consists of the Gigabyte G1 x99 gaming motherboard, a corsair RM 1000 modular power supply, gigabyte GeForce GTX g1 gaming 970 GPU, 5820K intel processor, 288pi Pin crucial 2400 DDR4 SDRAM , Frio Thermaltake 587 cooler, all in the Thermaltake A71 chaser case.

5 out of 5 eggsYIKES

Pros: Massive fins for massive cooling.
Massive fans for massive cooling.
Massive ease for 2011 socket for massive happy customers.

Seriously though... This cooler is massive and I love it.

140mm fans
4.5k 4820 with ease.

Cons: No LED

Other Thoughts: Measure and then measure again. Customer ram coolers may/will be a problem. Exceeded my expectations!

4 out of 5 eggsFrio Extreme on AMD FX 6300 Asus 990fx

Pros: Looks awesome. Provides insane cooling reduction compared to stock. Suprisingly very quiet even on max rpm. Installed into Thermaltake Kandalf Super Tower, Asus 990FX Sabertooth Motherboard. AMD FX-6300 6core cpu. Replaced stock amd cooler. Dropped from 65c idle to 33c idle, and 85c under load to 40c - 48c under load!! Incredible reduction :D have not seen it go higher than 50c yet.

Cons: Annoying to install if you have no experience installing aftermarket heatsinks. The installation kit and instructions are good, but this thing is HUGE and installing the cross-plate was very difficult with my huge hands. Remote Broken...which i guess is okay because I could not find a good place in my case for it anyways. Remote is cool, wish it worked and had longer wires so i could mount it somewhere. oh well.

Flimsy fan-clips ...MAKE sure you have the fan clips on the heatsink before you put it on the mobo...otherwise unless you get crafty you'll be taking it off again lol :(

Other Thoughts: THIS THING IS HUGE!

If you have heightened RAM with heatsink, or a mid-tower case forget about this one. You need ALOT of room for this beast. Overall very pleased so far. Thermaltake is awesome!

5 out of 5 eggsBest Cooler Ever!!!

Pros: If I could give it more stars I would! OC'd FX 8150 hasn't strayed over 40C yet. Idle temps around 32C. Comes with thermal paste and plates for every configuration imaginable

Cons: Clips feel flimsy but work great so far.

4 out of 5 eggsGIANT!! BUT COLD

Pros: Keeps my i7 3770K at 22 degrees Idle. Maxium temp I have gotten so far is 52 degress and that was with a 30min Render from Maya.

Cons: HUGE!! Not that this is a bad thing but to make this fit I had to take the heat spreaders off one of my ram chips. Also make sure you have a full tower case, I don't think this would fit in much less than that.

Other Thoughts: So far a great cooler, I would like it to tighten down a little better on the cpu but I guess it is tight enough.

5 out of 5 eggsSuper good cooler!!!!

Pros: Great cooling performance even in a fan-less midtower case!!!
Two super quiet fans, with the fans on max setting still quieter then the stock amp cooler fan!!!
Fan controller comes, and with everything you need and the instructions are a breeze!
The quality of this product is bar none if your thinking of getting this cooler quit thinking and just glick the add to cart button you will not be sorry!!
Please see other thoughts!
21c drop in idle temps!!!!

Cons: NONE!!!

Other Thoughts: Please know this thing is huge but i managed to fit it in a midtower case but its was a tight squeeze!
When i first installed this cooler i turned the computer on and i notice a good drop in my cpu temp. I have a AMD 955be overclocked to 3.8ghz and have the vcore at 1.51v which was giving my stock cooler a time it idled at 54c. Upon boot up my temps where at 45c with the fans at the lowest setting. I was some what happy i mean that was a good drop then i noticed that my 560ti was running rather hot 78c i was shocked then i noticed i was running a folding program which had my cpu and gpu running at 100%!!! Upon shutting down that program my temps dropped to 33c!!!!! And this is in a fan less midtower case!!! This made me smile! This cpu cooler is worth every penny. That is a 21c drop on idle temps!!!! So its time to oc this bad boy some more!!!

P.S. When gaming i have 8 120mm fans blowing in my case, server rack!!!! But sounds like hover craft!

5 out of 5 eggsI should've read the case specs!!!

Pros: Great cooling and easy install (READ THE DIRECTIONS!) Doesn't fit in the case I ordered for my new PC but that just means I need to do a brain transplant from my bigger case! LOL

Cons: 160mm tall which is the same width as the case I purchased. This thing is HUGE.

Other Thoughts: Do not get a standard case with this Monster. Oh it will also crowd the memory and any north bridge heat sinks near the processor. It's not a big deal if you install everything outside the motherboard like you're supposed to.

5 out of 5 eggsBuy this if you have an LGA 2011

Pros: Putting this on my Gigabyte GA x79 ud5 board with a 3930k cpu was a breeze. I know a lot of heatsinks have issues with installation, but this was super simple. I don't think it's quite as big as a noctura either. Which is one of the reasons I got this thing. It also fits easily in my Thermaltake level 10 GT case.

Cons: The fans and fan clips left something to be desired. I ended up using only one fan on the sink itself. Might be a bit overpriced, but it does what I thought it would so I feel ok with that.

Other Thoughts: Overall, I'm glad I got this.
