3 out of 5 eggsWas ready to throw it out the window

Pros: Looks nice, has 2 fans, and keeps my 3820 at a steady 29C.

Cons: It took me an hour and a half to get it put together. If your motherboard already has a plate on the back do not use the plate that comes with it! The screws will not be long enough! The washers are also made out of really cheap plastic.

Other Thoughts: Don't use the thermal paste they give you. Spend the money and get some Arctic Silver 5

1 out of 5 eggsHuge,Masive wast of money and time

Pros: if you are looking for a 5c drop in temp this is the item for you!

Cons: Very disappointed in the Cooling quality of this item, my temps only dropped 5C from my stock heat sink. Thing is Huge and takes up a ton of space. For something so Big one would think the cooling capability's would be much better. Better have a full tower or this junk wont fit.

Other Thoughts: My build is a XION Gaming Series full case, AMD FX-8350 Vishera 8 core, witch is known to run hot, 20gs of AMD Radeon™ DDR3 ram, MSI 970A-G43 mainboard.

4 out of 5 eggsVery good cooler.

Pros: Very good cooler, it provides, & delivers as it should. Install was a minor challenger, once done, it seems secure. Item is recommended.

Cons: It`s a little pricey, and it does cover a ram slot, 2 if both fans are used. In this day of advanced technology shouldn`t there be a solution to this ??? 4 instead of 5, only because of this.

5 out of 5 eggsCrazy Cool

Pros: Insane cooling difference! Before I put this monster in my case, my I-5 would hit temps up to 72C playing Bioshock infinite. So far it hasn't gone above 32C. So happy right now!

Cons: When I called this thing a monster before, I meant it. I was prepared for this heat sink to be big, but dang this thing is massive. I've got a big case so it wasn't an issue. But, just a heads up. It's very big.

Also, the instructions, as others have mentioned, do kind of suck. I know newegg has some instructional videos on their site for heat sinks somewhere. Those are much more helpful.

5 out of 5 eggsLegend..wait for it....

Pros: VERY NICE DESIGN! This thing is rock solid and built to last!
Very easy installation (details are a little rough on the paper but not enough to take an Egg.. not the fans fault.)
Looked a little itimidating in size at first.. didnt know how it would fit on my Mobo and cover my RAM slots (only covers 1st slot closest to CPU on a Z77 Sabertooth!) but after install it not only looks nice, but its size makes it a squeeze if you not using a full tower. so buyer beware!

Cons: Mine was missing a thumb nut in the install kit, did not RMA.. just ordered 4 new ones straight from Thermaltakeusa.com for 5.99 ... no bigs and is way faster/ cheeper. that was my only problem, this thing is AWESOME!

Other Thoughts: do a good item count before you start installing!

Mine is mounted on a ASUS Sabertooth Z77 mobo
on top of an Intell 3770k i7
in a Rosewill Thor tower...
amazing fit... amazing look! GREAT BUY!

5 out of 5 eggsMonster

Pros: This is an amazing set up. Only thing that I would recommend is using low profile memory. The cheep plastic that people are talking about is only if you are using an AMD chip. I'm using an I-7 3.6 ghz quadcore and it had metal brackets for it. So for those AMD users you get what you pay for cheap chip = cheap bracket.

Cons: ONly down side is needing to remove the fans to attach the brackets to the board not a huge deal though.

Other Thoughts: Great low profile memory to use for this is the Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Low Profile Desktop Memory Model BLS8G3D1609ES2LX0. Has a good price as well.

4 out of 5 eggsNot Bad!

Pros: Lots of fins. Heat Pipes. Dual fan. Fan removal is easy. Website has better documentation on installation as well as a video covering it than what comes in the box. Which was rather nice cause small print is hard to read.

Cons: Directions don't cover how to install if a backplate is already installed on your motherboard. Took me a bit to figure it out but once I did it went together quickly. With the LGA 2011 backplate you use the bolts to assemble it. There was a backplate with threaded posts already installed that require different setup then what was discussed but there were parts included that covered it.

Other Thoughts: Because of the size of the this CPU cooler. (It is HUGE) I may have wanted to go with a closed loop water cooler instead. The cpu fans cover on top of a couple of my dimm slots and make it hard to access if I was using them.

5 out of 5 eggsThe epicnesss

Pros: Works like a beast sit's there and cools about any cpu you can throw at it. It's pretty ninja with the noise level.

Cons: The fact it is a beast also the down side it barly fit inside my atx mid size case but made it at the expense of one 120mm fan on the side of the case.

Other Thoughts: bit anoying to install with the two fans but works once you get it in the only other thoughts i have is that it's nice that both fans are pwm.
