2 out of 5 eggsFan attachments flimsy

Pros: The heatsink itself is very nice.

Cons: The wires that hold the fan to the heatsink are very flimsy and probably the most hokey system I have ever seen for this. The screws that attach the heatsink to the mounting bracket are a bit short and it was a bit tricky to get on there.

Other Thoughts: After seeing how the fan was attached to the heatsink, I decided not to install this cooler. IMO, CPU cooling is one of the most important aspects of a build. I just dont want to trust the cooling the CPU to such a flimsy system.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It does what its suppose to do, keeps my 4.4amd richland super cook at 80º.

Cons: You can’t get different colors, you cant fit a fan grill to it, and you cant buy the fan individually.

4 out of 5 eggsNiC L32 Thermaltake CPU Cooler

Pros: This CPU fan works better then the liquid cooling I tried
CPU Ave - 27 C
MB Ave - 32 C
with CPU overclocked as well as the memory. Running a 90 watt CPU.

Cons: I would suggest not rushing into this upgrade the clips to hold the fan are a nightmare and I have a full tower. The clips don't seem to hold there shape with an install like this and they should send two sets. The intent seems to be to help cool the memory down to so plan on taking that out.

Other Thoughts: All in all after the next morning so I could cool down after the clips it does do everything advertised and then some. They say it can handle 180W CPU's and from what I see that wouldn't be a problem. I think time wise putting together a new system would be faster. Add an extra set of clips into the kit Thermaltake and once you figure out the install steps the plates and other hardware go together very easily and solidly.

5 out of 5 eggsQuality Cooler

Pros: Quality Cooling
Clears Everything in my case and on my motherboard.
Quiet Operation even at full speed.
Relatively easy install on AM3+ mobo.

Cons: Almost blocked the CPU fan header on my motherboard, almost.

I can't find anywhere to buy a second fan (no link from Thermaltake's website), and it's not a standard 140mm (different mounting holes, no extra hardware anyway). If you plan on getting a second fan, try to see if anyone is selling it first. Personally, a second fan would bump into my side-intake, so it's not really bugging me.

Other Thoughts: Installed on my ASRock 990FX mobo with a stock-setting FX 8350. Running all cores 100% with Fold-At-Home, keeps the CPU under 50C, under 30C above ambient. The stock cooler that came with the CPU let it reach almost 50C above ambient (70C total), so this is a great improvement.

Only thing I really didn't like was that fact that there's no indication on WHEN to stop with screws for the backplate. It has a foam front to provide isolation from the back of the board, so I just kept turning the screws until I felt it was secure (too far, and I probably would have pushed electrical contacts through the foam).

Nothing worth deducting an egg over.
