5 out of 5 eggsSquirrel Cage!!

Pros: Excellent product. Bought it to replace stock HS/F that burned up. Moves more air than stock, plus it's virtually impossible to get your fingers caught in the blades. Variable speed is a nice touch. Blowers are the way to go.

Cons: Very difficult to install if the motherboard is still mounted, but possible. Heat Sink weighs about an ounce less than a boat anchor.

Other Thoughts: Thermaltake makes extremely solid products, and the shipping from Newegg was right on the money. You can't go wrong with this setup if you're looking for something to replace stock and want a different look instead of the everyday heat sink/fan setup.

5 out of 5 eggsWorth The Money

Pros: Very efficient, processor actually runs a few degrees cooler than room temperature, adjustable fan speed is the best i've seen yet. Holes are also small enough to where you can't stick your finger in.

Cons: kind of a pain to install if you leave the motherboard inside of the case, and the HS/F weighs about an ounce less than a boat anchor.

Other Thoughts: very fast shippping, excellent price, and the adjustable fan speed is another trademark Thermaltake product. Good Job!!

3 out of 5 eggsLacking

Pros: Looks kinda cool (and huge).

Cons: Poor cooling, not least because the copper base is bolted onto the bottom and not integrated into the aluminum. Also, the dial fan speed controller gave out after a few months use, but you can unplug it and the fan will run fine at max speed. I replaced this with the TR2-M2, and It is awesome.

3 out of 5 eggsDon't waste your time...get a volcano

Pros: Cheap. Small. Some-what unique looking. Fan Control

Cons: heatsink and fan very weak and noisy. My stock for my xp2500 cooled EXACTLY the same.

Other Thoughts: Guys, don't waste your money on this. for 15 bucks more, get a Thermaltake Volcano 12. I have had so many problems trying to lower my overclock temps and the volcano did the trick. It dropped temps 15 degrees, even before arctic silver has set in. New egg sells them...Go out and buy a volcano 12...just do it..trust me.

Comments: When i boght this it was somewhat of an accdent but insted of returning it I sold it to a costemer who was complaning that his computer was slowing down. 5 out of 5 eggsCool and quiet

Comments: This is better than my Thermaltake Volcano 9 that was replaced. Idle temps are 45-47C and under load the temp goes to 51C, and those are on-die temps. This fan is nearly silent when the rpm is turned up 3/4 of the way.

5 out of 5 eggsnot to shabby

Comments: Purchased this for my barton 3200, and it still overheated while playing swat4. So I have upgraded again to a bigger more expensive one from the same company with no problems. This IS a good fan for 3000xp or less.
