4 out of 5 eggsWorks as advertised

Pros: Perfect size for my application; Thermal tape works fine;

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: I got these to adding passive cooling to the tuners on my Ceton InfiniTV card. Prior to adding the heatsinks the tunners were consistently running at ~69 C. With these installed and some increased airflow, I was able to bring the temps down to ~52 C. Hard to find fault with that.
Please be sure to use an appropriate degreaser before complaining that the thermal tape doesn't work.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Sinks...

Pros: These little copper sinks are perfect for cooling down the memory on a power color 5750. That particular card does not have any cooling on its memory chips. Even though the heatsink on one side prevents these heatsinks from being installed without needing to bend and adjust, the fact that they are pure copper makes it simple to bend and twist to have a nice amount of surface area while attached to the onboard memory.

Cons: Don't like the thermal pads that it comes with, although they look like they would do the job well, I just felt better using some artic silver adhesive.
... Definitely provides some peace of mind.

Other Thoughts: Pure copper heatsinks are very easy to bend to the necessary angle/angles. Remember, when cooling down with heatsinks, it is the surface area that does the job.

5 out of 5 eggsRead the instructions!

Pros: Like it says in the instructions - for the mounting tape to stick, the surfaces must be CLEAN!! When they manufacture chips, the molds that they make the plastic housing in is coated with a silicone-based release compound to keep the plastic from sticking to the mold. The residue from this compound must be completely removed. Alcohol won't do it: use a good quality electronics cleaner spray on a clean, lint-free cloth to wipe the surface. Do this several times, then press the tape in place and hold it firmly for 10 seconds or so. It will stick!

Cons: None, if you do it right. If you're too stubborn to read the instructions, then count on it not working right.

Other Thoughts: I've had these on the chips of a DSL modem/wireless router for about 6 months now, along with a small fan to circulate air through the unit. The heat sinks work like they're suppose to, and you can't pull them off without tearing the tape!

3 out of 5 eggsComme ci, Comme ca

Pros: Seems like these little guys did move some heat off of the TV card they were attached to, cuz they were hot to the touch. Nothing fantastic, but they look nice all shiny and copper.

Cons: The sticky thermal pads that adhere the sink to whatever, tend to slip and slide, especially if they are stuck on vertically.

Other Thoughts: Not sure it was worth it for the functionality, but they looked nice in my case. Not so pricey that it really makes much difference.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Good sinks, Perfect Size

Pros: Very good copper material, pre-applied thermal taping, and the size is verily perfect for a VGA ram-chip.

Cons: There are only 8 in a package, and slightly more expensive than comparable heatsinks.

Other Thoughts: When I read reviews on the poor thermal tape, "even though I followed directions," I think of what it is like to write technical directions. Even though you write down every step required to make your product work, 90% of users will read less than half and then complain when things don't turn out properly.
The instructions clearly say to clean the chips with a degreaser (there are several orange oil cleaners on the market that are perfect for this) then firmly press down for 10 seconds.
You know those silicon looking pads that are between the ramchips and the heatsink on your video card? They leave an oily film.
The key part of these instructions is the degreaser... alcohol is not a degreaser. For a very firm stick, clean the chips with orange oil, then wipe them down alcohol, warm the heatsink with a hairdryer, ensure the surface is lint free, and finally hold the pair firmly mated for 10 seconds or so. If these steps are beyond your computing knowledge, ask a friend to do it.

4 out of 5 eggsMoving the heat

Pros: These little guys are definitely moving the heat. I have them pasted to various areas of my AVermedia PCI-e combo card. The card always runs hot, these sinks are moving the heat away from the card, and I like that.

Cons: Like noted before. The sinks have some issue with the theramal tape. I haven't had any fall off, but mine have traveled a bit with gravity since installation. Now about a month worth of use in, they seem to have settled.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great.

Pros: No problems here (knock on wood!). Held the heatsink tight for 10 to 30 seconds, I think this is what the instructions say, and all is well.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: You folks are making me nervous! I am keeping an eye on these, will amend review if something happens.

3 out of 5 eggsGood design /BAD adhesive.

Pros: Copper and pin design of the heatsink works well.

Cons: Stupid things will fall off, not might, they WILL.Thermal tape sucks. If your gonna use them say on a motherboard that mounts face up horizontally your ok.On a video card? No way buy articsilver adhesive or find better thermal tape and peel their junk off.
It really is that bad.

Other Thoughts: Trust me you do not want chunks of highly conductive copper falling off of something with the pc ON!
