Designed for GeForce 8800 series video cards, the MCW8800 from Swiftech comes with heatsinks for the I/O chip, memory and Vcore MOSFETs. The copper memory and I/O heatsinks have a rod-type design for maximum surface area. The fin design on the mosfet heatsinks maximizes airflow. Pros: Excellent heat transference and perfectly complements the MCW60 GPU water block, as the description indicates. Using both on a EVGA 8800GTS.

Cons: The provided thermal tape is junk. I ended up removing it and attaching all of the heat sinks with Arctic Alumina. The tape on the copper sinks is a pain to remove - just a warning if you go this route...

Other Thoughts: The sink on the I/O chip gets excessively hot, potentially creating a heat pocket directly underneath it. Nothing that threatens the life of the video card or anything, but it was alarming at first. I cannot currently post any temps as my cooling system is lackluster and is in a state of flux.

Need more sticky

Pros: They do work well of course when i do not knock them off.
Now to be honest these are well made other than sticking but if they do not stick for some reason they don't seem to transfer heat as well lying on the case floor hum go figure

Cons: So easy to knock off, I do have some thermal glue but they will not come off after install. I installed a couple of cheap no name brand Alum. HS's i had with no sticking problems so come on.

Other Thoughts: Installed on my vid card and i think if i had to do it again i would just buy a custom block for ram/gpu the price for these and a good block is getting close to a custom 4870 full water block

Wont stick no matter what !!!

Pros: Will work well if used with a 3rd party thermal adhesive.

Cons: Wont stick on the first try..
Wont stick on the second try..
Wont stick period !!!

The peal off glue that these things come with are joke!

Other Thoughts: It's a shame, really! because knowing how good Swiftech products are, these heat sinks really let me down. I got these heat sinks to go with my GPU water block as recommend by Swiftech. The blocks works well, but these heat sinks never stayed in place for more than a few minutes. If you try to stick them back on there they will never stay. TERRIBLE PEAL OFF GLUE !!
