4 out of 5 eggsUPDATE

This review is from: Swiftech H320 X2 Prestige 3x120 mm Drive X2 Prestige AIO CPU Cooler

Pros: Received my rma'd unit and tested the pump before installation this time and the pump worked so Installed everything. In my case the tubing is actually a little to long (3-5inches) leaving as it is till I expand. For someone who has a H100i or up from the competition its probably not worth the 200$+ to upgrade to this unit. However it performs better at much lower noise levels. I cant hear this unit over my fish tanks at Idle and if AC is on cant hear it while gaming, whereas the H100i sounded like a leaf blower... I have a i7-5820k OC'd to 4.4GHz 1.25vcore the H100i I had showed a max core temp after 15mins of AIDA64 at 77C while this H320X2 Prestige Has a Max core temp of 71C. Both were tested at a 25C ambient. Temps While Gaming also show a 6C+ drop in temps. Looks amazing and dropped my idle temp from 39-40C to 35-36C and actually can run 4.5GHz without going past my personal 80C core temp limit. And its expandable. On a side note I flipped fans(had to use washer from H100 as spacers so fans clear) so its an exhaust. Heat rises so i have issues with it working as an intake. may see better performance as an intake, tho I did not test it this way and would assume Swiftech had it set as intake because without spacers fans scrub against radiator housing. Experiments I've done and most I've seen show a negligible difference when it comes to push vs. pull. Again if you already have a good highend AIO water cooler probabaly not worth the upgrade with the exception of those that want to expand and those that are on the thermal edge and want a little more headroom. For those that are building a new PC and need a new cooler I would recommend this over the competition with the exception of EK's Predator series (this unit is a better value imo)

Cons: The LED's on the res are CHEAP instead of showing up as a solid color like the photos show I see 6 LED's set to whatever color thru the white plate... However it was exasperated further by my LED kit already in the case. Wanted to set the H320 X2 to green and keep my other case lighting red but i get a red bar on the res with 6 green dots so I unplugged it and am just using the LED on the block as my case lighting makes the spot over the res a nice pretty solid red(or whatever color it is set too)

Also when the pump is turned down as low as my PWM will set it(32.5% or 1250rpm) it sounds like there is a washing machine inside my case but turning up to 1450rpms+ makes it go away and seeing as when I add the GPU and 2 more Rads it will need to be speed up anyways so not worth waiting for another RMA. However with pump at minimum speed my idle temp was 32C vs the 35-36C it runs now. Even with these cons I feel it was well worth the upgrade (because I plan to expand. My GPU (GTX970 ACX2.0) is now the loudest component while gaming again. Oh and the red dye didnt come out near as red as it is in the photo's and I used all of it.

Other Thoughts: To post and updated review i had to delete the old one so here it is...

Pros:

Ordered 01/26 received 01/28 thanks to Newegg's speedy processing and an early FedEx delivery. When I opened the box and pulled it out my first thought was "this thing is huge, hope it fits" (it did quite nicely in my IN WIN full tower case) The block was big enough to fully cover my 5820k unlike my Corsair H100i GTX (the screws that hold the block to the pump are inside the corners of the CPU which is what I believe to be causing higher temps than the old H100 it replaced) The H320 X2 Prestige screams quality and the pictures dont do it justice. The fittings almost look gun metal in the photos but are actually a dark black chrome. Sadly thats about it tho
Cons:

So I got everything installed, powered on and couldn't hear pump so I went into bios to check cpu temp just in case and glad I did. With the H100i GTX bios temp of my 4.5GHz i7-5820k is 45C at a 22C ambient. With a cold boot straight to bios at 17C ambient temps where 69C and climbing... I immediately flipped the PSU power switch and temps had hit 78C in just the few seconds it took to kill the power. After checking all the connections I noticed you could see what looks like the propeller of the pump so I powered back on to see if it moved and sadly it did not. Swapped the pumps sata feed to the one the fans had been working on and nothing. Luckily I still have my H100i GTX to use while I wait on RMA but seriously wondering if the hassle is worth the cost to upgrade from the H100i.
Other Thoughts:

Apparently someone else posted a review of the cheaper H320 X2 (non-Prestige) today that also had a bad pump. Leaves me to worry about Swiftech's Quality Control on these units but you can find bad products from any company so hopeful the replacement will be in working order. It did look so good in my case lol. Will update after I receive replacement.

5 out of 5 eggsFollow up Review

This review is from: Swiftech H320 X2 Prestige 3x120 mm Drive X2 Prestige AIO CPU Cooler

Pros: Forgot to mention it is super quiet in my case and the temps are pretty much the same as my Corsair H100i. Even on a 4.3ghz overclock of a AMD FX 6300

Cons: See previous Review form James C.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat product.

This review is from: Swiftech H320 X2 Prestige 3x120 mm Drive X2 Prestige AIO CPU Cooler

Pros: Build quality is absolutely fantastic.

Cons: A real pain to set up for a AMD processor like wow.
LEDS do not work

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Dustin, thanks for your feedback. Regarding your LED issue, this is most likely due to the PWM splitter malfunctionning. Please contact our tech support at 310-763-0336, or toll-free at 888-857-9438 or via email at help@swiftech.com , and we will send you a replacement the same day.
