5 out of 5 eggsEFFIN AMAZING.

Pros: Not only do I love the way these memory heat spreaders look (the polished Copper, is so cool), but they were extremely easy to install the only problem was getting them centered on the chips lol, but I have bad precision. I love the low profile, they add almost no width to my chips, which is what was worrying me. My RAM banks are literally butted up against one another, and surprisingly everything fit and I still have a small, but still a gap in between my cards. I ran my Power Mac G5 for only 8 hours, and wow, usually my RAM chips are only warm (feels like 115ºF) they were just warm but I gotta protect my investment. And WOW these heat sinks were extremely hot when I touched them hours later. I have 4 4GB Apple Branded OEM DDR2 SDRAM Cards, and I must say I never thought these heat sinks could pull so much heat from a "warm" chip. AMAZING. Another good thing about them, was that they would work on single sided RAM, but I have only double sided, so that was no problem for me.

Cons: None, they were straight forward to install, and that was that.

Other Thoughts: Even if your chips are only warm, still get these, you may be surprised how much heat these babies can pull from your cards. I know I was. Not to mention they look SEXY!

5 out of 5 eggsQuality Heatsink

Pros: • Easy to install
• Reduces temps over stock HSF
• Fully copper base
• Uses standard Socket-478 Intel HSF Base
• High quality fan

Cons: A little louder than I had hoped, but on par with stock HSF (without the high pitched "buzz" of the stock, the sound is more of a flowing air sound like a case fan)

Other Thoughts: I upgraded an Intel D845GBV mobo that had a Pentium 4 @ 1.5ghz / 400Mhz / 256KB L2 proc on it (for my father-in-law). I replaced the processor with a Pentium 4 @ 2.8ghz / 533Mhz FSB / 512KB L2. The old proc ran at about 100 (F) idle and would go up to 114 (F) under load with the stock HSF from Intel. The new proc is running at 84 (F) idle and goes up to 99 (F) under load.

Installation notes: I rubbed off the thermal paste that is pre-installed on the cooler, using a couple of paper towels and some rubbing alcohol. I then applied a thin layer of Artic Silver 5 paste on the HS (that I rubbed in with a paper towel to create a frosted gray look). I then put a "dab" about the size of a pea on the middle of the proc, and seated the HSF. The temps were noticeable lower than the stock immediately, and will only get better over the next month of use until the thermal paste expands under heat/pressure.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing!

Pros: After reading the reviews I (1) skeptical that these would work well; and (2)jdoubtful as tom my ability to these things put on currectly. Witin ten minutes of opening the box, I had the one and was closing the box up. Once I turned the computer, was expecting dire results (which had happened when installed a new heatsink on my processor.) But noooooo! The computer booted up faster than ever and the sides are cold to the touch.

Cons: I was a little nervous at first putting them on, starting with the first one. But then they became easy.

Other Thoughts: After Effects was crashing 10 minutes into every rendering job that I threw at it, even the most basic. With these one, After Effects was able to process an MP4 for over 6 hours at 100% load and no noticeable loss of quality. Can I recommend?

This will go on ALL of my memory chips from this time forth and forevermore.

5 out of 5 eggsGet it.

Pros: Works well, bought 4 for sticks in 1 of my systems that I just put a new graphics card in. These are designed for memory sticks with chips on 1 side or 2, so they will work on new or old sticks.

Cons: Nada.

Other Thoughts: They are good quality metal, not flimsy and cheap. So if you need 'em, get 'em!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Heatsinks

Pros: These are great Heatsinks. I have used them in the past.

Cons: Not sure if it is really a con but the finish is different on these then the last set I purshed. These have a dull copper finish and the ones I purshed in the past have a polished finish. It doesn't seem to affect the performance any though.

Other Thoughts: These are still a great product.

2 out of 5 eggsThese did not fit my SDRAM properly

Pros: easy to install

Cons: The clips that hold the heat sinks on the RAM did not fit my 1GB ECC SDRAM. The RAM is double sided. The ECC chip is at the bottom of the RAM so this is not causing the problem. When I would put the clips on all the way, it would cause one of the heat sinks sides to tilt diagonal making it not touching all the whole RAM DIMM. I had to put the clips on only half way for it stay on correctly.
