3 out of 5 eggsFunny...

Pros: Brought EVGA 5900s into reasonable overclocking temps. Quiet compared to stock coolers especially the smallish ones that unfortunately got plopped down on some higher end cards at the time. A worthy investment, and had a pretty blue LED that didn't burn your eyeballs.

Cons: To be fair, this kit was a joke. Yes. It was a worthwhile investment for the GPU cooler and yes, it did bring temps down on the 5900 so that I could squeeze a few more mhz out of them. Sadly it should never have come with anything but the cooler. I never attempted to glue those ram heatsinks on but I can't imagine anyone had a good experience with them. They were useless and looked like they were remnants of a heatsink fab that recently swept it's scraps off the floor.

Other Thoughts: Vantec made some decent stuff back in the day. No complaints, I owned two of these coolers, included garbage aside, the coolers actually lasted longer than the cards they were attached to.

5 out of 5 eggsReliable

Pros: Super high reliability when maintained properly
Lower temps when compared to stock cooling
Memory heat sinks included

Cons: None to date

Other Thoughts: I purchased this back in August of 2004 for a Geforce Ti-4200 which the cooling had failed on.
It has been operating 24-7 ever since with the exception of cleanings and power outages.

5 out of 5 eggsBetter Then Expected

Pros: I got this fan and heatsink combo as a replacement for my slowly dying standard fan that came with my NVIDIA PNY GeForce 7600GS. It was a perfect replacement for the old fan except for to aspects. (See Cons) I hooked it up to the standard two prong fan power piece on the graphic card so it handles the aspects of fan speed just fine. The card now stays super cool compared to the old fan and heatsink which were always warm. This fan and heatsink is always cool even when running the GPU to its max. The blue led is a nice touch just wish my case had a veiwing window. Couple this with Artic Silver 5 Thermal Compound and you will have no problems for a long time. very good fan and heatsink, definatly will be my replacement fan again when this one dies at the end of its life.

Cons: Was a bit upset that it was a three prong power connector instead of the standard two for NVIDIA graphic cards. This was a simple fix though of eliminateing the yellow wire alltogether and switching the thre prong connector out with the old two prong connector of the older fan. The fan fits fine on my card but it touches the one RAM cooler that is on my 7600GS so I suspect it may not fit all 7600GS's perfectly without modifying the RAM cooler. It is noisy at first untill your ears ujust to it and block it out. I can't even hear it running aynmore. Not really tru cons just things to watch out for.

Other Thoughts: The copper heatsink is a huge upgrade from the standard white aluminum heatsink of the original.

5 out of 5 eggsGood entry level fan, great price, easy install.

Pros: For my nVidia 6600GT 512MB

Simple design, super easy install, blue LED's are bright, fully polished base.

I installed it faster than I could remove the OEM fan. It came with nice heat sinks for the RAM with 3M tape and thermal grease.
Noise wise its decent. Not quiet, not loud but if you want it quieter hook it up to a fan controller.

Cons: It didnt fit my X1600XT but it fit my 6600GT with no problems.
Also the grease was too watery so it gets all over the place, not worth deducting an egg though.

Other Thoughts: If you have an older video card in which the fan failed, this is great for it.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks like a swiss...thing

Pros: Works like it should, hooked it up no problems. Keeps my card a relatively cool level even at full load.
Looks cool with the blue LED, but doesnt matter to me because I cant see it when my case side panel is closed.
Has a connector for a molex power cable for people like me that didn't read the specs well enough to note that this fan has a 3 pin power connector and my card is only two...

Cons: My fault for not reading the specs better but my card has a two pin connector and this is a three. Again my fault, luckily though this kit came with a converter to use with the molex power connectors.

Other Thoughts: Used on a Nvidia Geforce 7300gs, not the best card, but for right now it will do especially when someone gave it to me for free because the original fan was clog to hell with only Satan knows what.

In conclusion, i would highly recommend this fan, works like a dream, and the kit has everything you need, and more.

5 out of 5 eggsgrat replacement fan!!

Pros: perfect replacement for nvidia geforce4 ti4200 8x.super easy to install(comes with everything you need).took about 8 real minutes to install.the blue led is nice, and matches other lights.very quite, and comes with 4 heatsinks for the 4 memory chips on the card)which is nice).

Cons: i have not seen any as of yet.

Other Thoughts: the original fan on the video card used a connector on the card itself(2 prong) this one connects on the motherboard(3 prong) not a problem unless you have nowhere left on the mb to plug it in.
