4 out of 5 eggsGood cooler, difficult to install in AM3 bracket

Pros: This heatsink/fan has lowered my cpu core temperature at full load from 70 Celcius to 33 Celcius (maximum I have ever seen since I installed it). I am very pleased with it.

Cons: Very, very large and somewhat difficult to install with AM2/AM3 etc. brackets. I ended up having to remove the spring-loaded screws in the brackets to the heatsink and going to a local hardware store to get different screws.

Other Thoughts: Overall I am extremely happy with my purchase and wish it would have still been available on Newegg.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat cooler

Pros: I originally had the stock cooler on my phenom II x6 Thuban and it was a pain. It would get loud under load.

1-Easy install 10 min
2-Super quiet even under heavy load
3-This cooler dropped my temps by 7-15 depending on house temps.
4-Heavy duty.
5-Smart design, it has the CPU exhaust blowing directly into the rear exhaust fan.

Cons: 1- I have a ga-890gpa-ud3h MB and it was hard to tighten down the back screw. I had to remove the video card and the power supply. Not a big deal.
2- This should be installed before inserting the MB into the case if possible.

Other Thoughts: I was skeptical about this product because it's not a known PC CPU cooler. This product proved me wrong.

4 out of 5 eggsBig!

Pros: Great cooling. Running a Phenom II X6 1090T at stock clock, and at 1650 RPM, this keeps the temp at 99F under full load (OCCT). Got this because the stock fan for the 1090T was exceedingly loud (6500 RPM under load, and 120F, and sounding like a jet engine).
Also, it fits with room to spare on the ASUS M4A78T-E.

Cons: I may have just received a bad one, but the screw holes on the base of the heatsink where you mount the appropriate adapter were poorly tapped. It was quite an effort to screw them in and re-establish the threads, but after a fair amount of work, I was able to get the adapter attached. It wasn't that I had cross-threaded the screws, because they didn't bind until they were halfway through. Minus 1 egg. Anyways, I am sure I only had a fluke. This fansink is otherwise well constructed.

Other Thoughts: Bought it because it has an easily replaceable and standard fan. I have a dusty place, and fans do not typically last terribly long, and I wanted a fan that I could replace without replacing the whole thing.

Also, I put this in the In-Win Android case, and ended up having to remove the 220mm side panel fan, because this fansink is too tall otherwise. Even without the 220mm, the cpu stays much cooler and quieter than with the stock heatsink.

I needed this thing RIGHT NOW because the stock cooler was driving me nuts. That's why I didn't buy it from Newegg. Sorry Guys!

5 out of 5 eggsPleased

Pros: Keeps my quad AMD 965 at 46 degrees C while all 4 cores are at 100% (as they have been for the last 2 months 24/7). Very quiet. (video card fan is louder). Easy installation. Price!

Cons: Not a one so far.

Other Thoughts: Did not have the mounting problem that others have described. Installed in a matter of moments (with Arctic Silver Ceramique) and has worked great so far. MB is a Gigabyte MA77OT-UD3P if that helps.

2 out of 5 eggswont work.

Pros: looks nice ,quality built.
iam sure it will cool nicely when i find a backplate that fits .

Cons: does not fit biostar TA790gxb3 motherboard.
stock backplate does not work with this product.
the base is not smooth,it has a machined look and feel to it.could have done a better job at the finish.

Other Thoughts: iam sure i can figure something out.
it would have helped if the product stated what motherboards it would have fit.

4 out of 5 eggsBrackets :(

Pros: It was a nice looking heat sink, many heat pipes, nice looking cools CPU nicely.

Cons: Didn't pick it up at Newegg, sorry Newegg.
Like V said. The brackets were.... Just terrible. It didn't fit with my MSI NF750-G55. It also didn't fit with the back plate that came with it. So if you got an NF750-G55, be prepared to buy a different back plate.

Other Thoughts: I wish it fit. :P

4 out of 5 eggsWill Not Fit All AM3/AM2/AM2+ M/B

Pros: Cools well on the AMD 955BE. Very nice fan. Moves a lot of air at an except-able noise level. Love it for AM3 M/B's as it does not cover any of your ram slots. This will fit with the tallest of memory modules. Remember this company makes long lasting heat-sinks for server's. I would suggest it to anyone looking for a heat-sink that fits and works great with AMD M/B. Has a good price attached as well.

Cons: Did not buy it from newegg.com.
If your AMD AM3/AM2/AM2+ Does not have a completely threaded back-plate to mount to the screws that came with this heat-sink they will be to short. Will not fit on the MSI 790FX-GD70 AM3 AMD 790FX ATX AMD Motherboard do to back-plate without modification to the screws are back-plate. Renumber the threaded standoffs that come on the back-plate must be threaded from top to bottom to work on the sockets listed.

Other Thoughts: This is a great start from this company into the enthusiast heat-sink market. Keeps my MSI 790FX-GD70 and 955BE clocked @ 4.0GHz 37 Degrees Celsius at idle. Under load the highest I've hit is between 56-58 Degrees Celsius. Room temp of 23-24 Degrees Celsius.
