4 out of 5 eggsGood enough

Pros: Easy to set up
Good for beginners
"Quick connect" is awesome
Quiet unless turned up.

Cons: Hard to maintain/replace parts
Heavy

Other Thoughts: I've had mine for almost 2 years now and the only real problem I've had with it is the flow sensor acting up. One air bubble gets in there for whatever reason and good luck getting it to keep going. What I eventually did was take a website's advice and open it up to add another plastic washer onto the flow wheel. This loosened it up and made it easier to spin. Now if an air bubble gets in there I can just turn the pump up and push it out because the wheel will keep spinning even if there's minimal flow.

1 out of 5 eggsDesign Flaw

Pros: Cools my OC Quad and GTX just fine. Very easy to set up for someone new to WC. Quiet. Looks cool.

Cons: This would be a great WC setup except for a killer design flaw that causes the pump to shut down when a bubble forms in the flow meter, which happens every week or so if you don't shut it down, more often than that if you do. To restart, you need to move the (rather heavy) unit from side to side, upside down, etc. to get the air bubble out.

Other Thoughts: This is my second unit, after an RMA from NewEgg. I had the first one nearly a year, and the 2nd one for just over a month. I RMA's the first because I thought perhaps I had a faulty pump and wanted to get it replaced before the warranty ran out, but the new replacement does exactly the same thing. This is clearly a faulty design. Not recommended for anyone.

4 out of 5 eggszalman Reserator XT, ok good for mediate OCer

Pros: cool looking, which is its first impression.
big, which is a con for me. means could hold more coolant.
LED display, which is very impressive if you leave it on in dark.

it does its job-- cool my QX9650 to around 35C on its stock speed. But i want more when consider the money i paid.(look cons)

easy setup(mostly) and very quite even the fan is running @ full speed

Cons: The price is little too expensive maybe.

i did need to modify a little to let the standing of the waterblock fitted on my eVGA 790i ForTheWin(analog) mobo. but it was only 5 mins work though, no biggy.

Again, my CPU is QX9650. so everyone knows that i wont let it runs @ its stock speed. Actually, its running @ 4G now, a mediate overclocking, which is not satisfy me at all when considering the money i paid for the CPU. But its getting a little hot now. It might due to its pump. I want a stronger pump but too lazy to replace it now. It has auto and manual setting, but AUTO setting is meaningless to me. The water temp rises from 22C(room temp) to 40C(max for me), the fan speed or the float speed never change if its in AUTO. I use manual setting all the time, which i could set it to max.

So if you are a average overclocker, the Reserator XT do their jobs. But if you want more, you might need a better solution: modify yourself or get a phase change cooling(too expensive for me tho

Other Thoughts: You can use it to cool your video card, too. But your video card better not be the high end card(8800GTX, 9800, GTX200) like mine. those cards just produce too much heat and warm up the coolant temp that reduce its usage for your CPU.

I use multi fans to cool my GTX 280 SLI, so im not worry about that. So my suggestion is dont use it for more than two loops if you are overclocking.

3 out of 5 eggsOK place to start

Pros: Great starter kit for someone who doesn't know much about water cooling. Looks cool and its quite.

Cons: With Zalmans quick connects you might as well run 1/8th inch tubes or put a kink in the hose. I replaced these with 10mm fittings from a kool competetor and so much better flow, idles @ 1.5 L per min. I have no idea what full throttle is is pegs the gage at about halfway. The pump isn't the best ether but if you want quite it is ok.

Other Thoughts: I eventualy replaced the pump also from a kool competator but this might be a little out of the scope of most of the buyers of this product. I fyou think you could do it then you might want to save your money and coustom biuld a set up.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Virtually noiseless.
Easy setup.
Looks cool sitting on top of my case.
Provided jumper for power is awesome for other uses.

Cons: Large (I liked this though)
Degasser tube didn't seem to work for me so I just flushed the system a few times and all was well.
CPU block instructions took a few reads to figure out and the plastic mounting pieces had drooped extra plastic near the screw holes making positioning difficult (but doable).

Other Thoughts: The only "Con" I can have is just with water cooling in general. You should always set up in advance to test for leaks before actually hooking it all together with power but then this makes it very hard to *actually* hook up after out of case testing. Just be prepared for some work if this is your first water job. RTM a few times until you're comfortable.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great product even for a computer that runs as hot as mine. I am running an Intel Quad Core 3.2 GHz Extreme and two EVGA 9800 GX2's and it is running way cooler then when it had fans. :)

Cons: The only con is that you want to make sure you READ and RESEARCH everything you can about water cooling before installing a product like this. Learn about metals. What is producing the heat in your computer and the price of everything before you decide to do this. These type of products are not for the non-reader.

Other Thoughts: Get this if you know that regular fans won't work in your computer. It's great for someone who is a newbie at water cooling and also great for someone who needs room in their computer case.

BTW make sure you know that the temperature in your room is cooler then the computer. Physics note: Heat won't transfer to the air around it without the air around it being cooler. So all in all, have an air conditioner in the room your computer is in.

1 out of 5 eggsNo Quality Control - I'm Done

Pros: At this point, nothing to speak of, still haven't gotten to the point of actually cooling my cpu at all, the look is good, but my headache is clouding that out

Cons: Third and final attempt to use this product, this one is in between the first and second units as far as the pump is concerned, which I firmly believe to be the root of all my problems and It may be a bad batch of units (pumps) lucky me, I might try a black one now, but after the 16+ hours and month of ups back and forth, its not likely.

Other Thoughts: Too bad these companys can't make any money using American companies to manufacture their products, just goes to show just how bad things made in china really are, three in a row and never even got to turn the computer on. shame. looks like an aquarium pump and a transmission cooler for me :) . I really tried and unfortunately found out the hard way this expensive thing is nothing but polished junk. If anyone from Zalman wants to try to redeem your companys tarnished image, contact me through newegg.

1 out of 5 eggsStill No Quality Control

Pros: Still Looks Pretty, New Eggs RMA Process

Cons: This second unit has almost no flow at all, even worse than the first one I RMA'd. at least the first one would bleed out the air on manual high. I figured that out after 6+ hours of trying to bleed it out.

Other Thoughts: Trying Third and final time - back for another RMA

5 out of 5 eggsExceptional cooling, great look

Pros: It looks great, It works great, Its quite and easy to install. I'm keeping 4400+, 7950GT, video ram, and NB chip at one/two degree(s) above ambient at 70% load. System never even ramps up on auto mode. Looks sweet and boasting rights for WC system

Cons: Slight fan squeak if you get close enough to listen

Other Thoughts: Pricey, but a great investment for those who want to even out system temps and don’t mind the price tag. Looks SWEET!
