The current range of Intel and AMD processors generate potentially damaging heat – especially during high intensity processing. The smaller cases restrict air flow leading to increased potential for unstable computing. Zalman's CNPS 8700 NT delivers a cooling solution designed to fit into Slim Tower and low-profile Home Theater PC enclosures.
A 110mm spins at 2100 RPM between two semi-circular arrays of nickel-plated convection fins. These fins are supported by a pair of heat pipes which circle around the fan delivering thermal transference performance equal to a four-pipe array. From the nickel-plate mirror finish of the copper base to the blue LED's of the fan, Zalman's quality workmanship is apparent.
Pulse Width Modulation, or PWM, allows the computer's BIOS to automatically adjust the fan's speed according to the thermal need of the system as it blows air over the ultra-thin .2mm fins. With its unrestricted airflow, it is able to cool the RAM, VGA card, Northbridge and other nearby components in addition to the CPU.
- Superior Heat Dissipation and Cooling PerformanceThe curved heatpipe design, coupled with a copper heatsink and ultra-thin aluminum fins, maximizes heat transfer and dissipation. Plus, a large 110mm dual-ball bearing LED fan runs efficiently to deliver unparalleled cooling performance.
- PWM FunctionThe PWM function automatically adjusts fan speeds according to the CPU temperature for efficient cooling and minimized fan noise.
- Universal Socket CompatibilityAs an all-in-one solution for PC systems, the ZALMAN CNPS8700 NT features broad compatibility with AMD socket 754, 939, 940 and AM2/AM2+/AM3 platforms, as well as the Intel LGA 775/1155/1156 platform.
