5 out of 5 eggsWorks!!!

Pros: Does what it suppose to do. Used on a Zalman 9700 I had lying around. Didn't have any issues with the nuts in the bracket when connecting to the MB. One has to learn patience and being afraid of working with tech.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I used on a Asus Rampage III Extreme with a Inel Xeon W3570.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect for EVGA X58 3X SLI Classified

Pros: Fits perfectly with EVGA X58 SLI Classified mobo.
Easy install.

Cons: Wasn't included with the original fan ?

Other Thoughts: It's a bracket, does what it's supposed to do.
Keeps the fan in place.
Was a bit worried after reading some of the reviews about EVGA X58 boards, luckily there was no need to do anything but mount the bracket with the Classified mobo.

5 out of 5 eggsWorked

Pros: Did exactly what I needed it to do. Nothing more

Cons: Didn't know I was going to have to take everything out to secure the clip support to the back of the motherboard.

Other Thoughts: simple. does it's job.

5 out of 5 eggsBrilliant

Pros: Works perfectly. Allowed me to use my Zalman CNPS9500A on my i7-960. Extremely easy to install.

Cons: I can't think of any.

Other Thoughts: It doesn't feel like it will hold the heatsink very well when you are holding it in your hand, it feels kind of loose, but no worries. Once everything is mounted in it works amazingly.

3 out of 5 eggsDoes not work on Tyan S7020

Pros: Low Cost. Effective if it works

Cons: Only works on motherboards that allow a screw through the motherboard. The motherboard mount on my Tyan S7020 has screw threads in the motherboard. I cannot blame Zalman for this 100% but i wish they had indicated the mount type more precisely so that I could have checked before ordering.

Other Thoughts: it would be nice to have some standards with mounting. Each manufacturer loosley follows the standard leaving a lot of room for incompatible hardware that "works" on a socket type but is not compatible.

5 out of 5 eggsAsus X58 Sabertooth LGA 1366

Pros: This adapter allowed me to use my 9500 on the Asus X58 Sabertooth mobo, and it fits great on the LGA 1366 socket.

Using 4 screws on this clamp seems much more secure than the 2-screw method that was required for my previous 775 mobo (it mounts with 2 screws on all 775s), so it is an improvement in quality as well. There is no movement allowed of the heatsink whatsoever.

Cons: It was somewhat tough to get a couple of the screws in to the bracket from below the mobo. It seemed that the chrome finish was a little thick for the threads in the nuts, but a couple re-screws sort of shaved them to the right fit. Luckily the threads were not ruined.

Also, be careful when screwing in the screws through the bottom of the motherboard. The black bracket would torque/bend at a goofy angle once i reached the tightening point. The bracket is a little flimsy.

Other Thoughts: The temps of 4 cores in my i7 950 idle at around 34, 34, 32, 29 at stock settings, so I know it is working.

This mount does not use a backplate. The screws run right up through the bottom of the motherboard with small washers underneath for insulation and padding.

I received one spare screw and washer (5 total of both) for mounting through the bottom of the mobo.

Relevant hardware in my build:
Asus X58 Sabertooth
Intel Core i7 950
Arctic Silver 5
Antec 902 Case

3 out of 5 eggsNot compatible for the Intel BOXDX58SO2 motherboard

Pros: Easier to install than most other CPU fan adaptors.

Cons: When trying to install the clip support kit on the DOXDX58SO2 motherboard, one of the connectors was blocked by the heatsink pipes. Ended up using the stock fan included with the CPU which seems to do just fine.

Other Thoughts: It'd be nice to have some of these parts verified to be used with other components so it isn't a waste of time and money.
