5 out of 5 eggsWhat I needed!

Pros: Keeps ram at desirable temperatures.
Adjustable Height.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: My ram was almost burning to the touch. This solved that.

5 out of 5 eggsThis thing is HUGE

Pros: It is adjustable for different heatsink heights. I do not know the exact dimensions, but I had to use the lower set of screw holes for my low profile PNY RAM. It is also adjustable from side to side, in case you need a slight amount of extra clearance for interfering heatsinks or other coolers. I am highly impressed with the overall quality to cost ratio.

Cons: It's HUGE. It gets in the way of many air-coolers due to its width. I need to offset it over 3 of my 4 total RAM DIMM's, but this problem will be easily solved when I am able to afford a water loop in the future which will allow me to adjust it back to cooling all 4 DIMM's.

1 out of 5 eggsBad Experience

Pros: Since I never got the unit installed I don't have any pros.

Cons: Unit came without threads for the screws. I was never able to install it because of it. The thumb screws just fall out of the hole where they go. I contacted Zalman about the problem but I never received a response back. In my opinion I cant see doing business with a company who wont respond.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Good solid construction, tight fit to mem slot, adjustable height for standard or heatsinked memory, good air flow. All in all it does what it should do.

Cons: The supplied thumb screws can create a lot of problems if you have a micro style board. The thumb screws will be so close to your first PCIE slot that you may not want to use them. The thumbscrews can also cause issues with some cases that have the power supply mounted in the bottom of the case. This puts your motherboard to close to the top of the case and can cause the thumbscrews to hit the top of the case and keep it from allowing proper installation.

Other Thoughts: I didnt use the cooler on my latest build, which it was intended for, but did install it on an older PC. I figured it was a better fit for that system since the memory didnt have any heatsinks and they always seemed to run a ltitle warm.

4 out of 5 eggsNice look, brushed aluminum

Pros: Looks great with MSI 990FXA GD-80 and XMS3 Corsair Ram. Works great without resistor.

Cons: I first installed with resistor and work the first time I turned it on but after that I had to give the fans a little push to get them going. Took out resistor and worked fine. I have a water cooler and its quite small and it was a tight fit so if you have a large cpu cooler i dought this will work. I got the Corsair 600T case and the top thumb screw were really close to the top of the case. Had to tighten top screw all the way then install. Other than that works well for the money and looks great.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat cooler!

Pros: Pretty solid
Works with large ram sinks like on gskill PI 1600 2x2Gb kit.
quiet with resistor connected.

Cons: None!

Other Thoughts: On my setup using crosshair v and video card in first slot the thumb screws gets scary close to top of video card and with mine not having back plate on it, its just to close for comfort.

Solution: when you replace the small screws with thumb ones, instead use the small ones close to video card and tighten them. Then use thumb ones at top keep them very loose so you can get cooler on. Then tighten them down at top.

My ram isn't overclocked but they have tightest timings on market and before would get little warm, now they are very cold. Great product like always zalman. I will report back if something negative happens down road.

I don't know maybe bad luck on other people reviews but with resistor in place this cooler is quiet and no bearing or fan noises like others reported.

3 out of 5 eggsDoesnt Fit DDR3

Pros: Quiet. Didn;t have any of the problems others seem to be having with noise. OFcourse I have 6 other fans in my system not including the PSU. 1-92 mm, 4-120mm and 1-140mm. So my system has a bit of noise, which doesn't bother me at all. I also use a headset for gaming and when I put those on, I can't even hear the wife ack. Does exactly what I wanted it do. Removes any dead air around my memory. and the way I have it setup, it has a slight angle up and into the 140 mm exhaust fan.

Cons: The clamps for the Memory are very tight if you have a large CPU cooler, or may not work at all if you have DDR3. The clamps didn;t fit my memory slots no matter what kind of tinkering I did. That's why they invent zip ties. So its just cabled tied to a PSU cable, and voila. The added effect for that too was that I was able to angle it slightly up, and it pushes air towards the top of the case. If you have a plexiglass side, you may not want to see that. I don't and don;t care for flashy things. My Exhaust fan has a white led, which I can't see, and could care less about. So bottom line, check the demensions before purchase.

Other Thoughts: Clean looking product. Kinda cheap feel to it, but it works, and thats what I want.
