ZALMAN CNPS10X Performa 120mm Long life CPU Cooler

Pros: A great tower cooler and sort.... as far as tower coolers go

Cons: none

Pros: I don't know, I didn't really get to see how well it worked...

Cons: Instructions left something to be desired.

I've not had problems with instructions, but I had issue with installing this unit. I put the spacer in when I didn't need to. But they didn't obviously mark it as optional.

This component was the only reason my system didn't post. It must have been the mounting bracket shorting out something on the board. I thought that would be the case before hand... looks like I may have been correct ;)

The installation should have sad "see youtube" because it was non trivial.

Other Thoughts: I'm generally not great at following instructions. Though I've never had a computer build take more than 20 minutes. Blazed through this build up form the ground up, until I hit this fan. Thankfully it was the last thing I wanted to install and had already tested every component to that point.

While installing I noticed there were some solder points that would be very close to the mounting bracket.

After monkeying about with the memory thinking for some reason it had gone bad, I swapped out the CPU fan, again. and viola, it worked.

Pros: Cools very well -- satisfied with the product

Cons: Had to remove it once after initial processor install, due to DOA motherboard. The screws that hold it into the board and special hex tool they include started to strip during the first removal. I am 100% certain it wasn't installed overly tight because I plan for this type of issue. Most importantly: Make sure you have room in your case for this -- it's HUGE.

Other Thoughts: Overall, I'm satisfied with the product -- it may be a bit of overkill for me because I don't overclock, but it's a solid product.

Pros: Works, can mount two 120mm fans...

Cons: This was a pain to install. I've put together my fair share of computers over the past seven years and this cooler was straight stressful. Fan sits over one of my ram slots...luckily I'm only using slots 1 & 3 or 2 & 4 depending on how you look at it.

Other Thoughts: Seriously though, it seemed like my AMD clips were not bent as shown in the installation guide. I would have returned it, but I'm impatient. Seriously disappointing Zalman...

Pros: Solid feeling product, easy to set up, quiet, cools well. What more do you need?

Cons: Not really a con, but you need to remove the mobo to install the cooler. On a new build that's not a problem. However, once installed, you can remove the cooler without removing the mobo as well.

Other Thoughts: Installed with no problems on an ASRock Extreme 3 mobo with low profile RAM.

One reviewer complained that the fan blows into the case, not out the back. That's because he mounted the cooler backwards.

Pros: Great cooling, good harware, easy to install. My system is a i7 860 OC to 4GHz
-Instructions were easy to follow
-Idle at 27-29C, prime 95 load at 74-76C
-Huge, copper plate in contact w CPU

Cons: -This is a big cooler, make sure you have room for it. It came within 1/8 of an inch from my fourth DIMMM, but it could go above my G-Skill Ripjaws just by sliding the fan up.

Other Thoughts: I bought both the Hyper 212 Evo and this one, decided to go with Zalman because of the copper plate and bigger footprint.No regrets

Pros: Works very well.

Cons: Block one RAM slot. A little difficult to install if I drop the motherboard into the case first.

Pros: It keeps my system very cool as this is my first aftermarket cooler not much I can say other than it works and well.

Cons: Larger cooler blocks almost 2 of my RAM slots was a bit tricky to get the ram into that slot but i got it in there and it works.

Other Thoughts: I wish someone would come up with a better/easier way to mount a fan to the actual cooler itself works and had no problems but i think that there could be an easier way. A side note to add if installing this cooler i would recommend doing so outside of the case and the allen wrench they give you would be 100 times more useful if it was like 4 inches longer but again everything worked and is still working

Pros: Really its the best for your buck is 100% worth it.Im using this on my Amd athon ll x4 because i when i play high end games it used to go up to 60 Celsius and so now wont ever go above 30 Celsius.

Cons: Nothing.

Other Thoughts: Installation was very easy,and it wont conflict with any ram slot so was a plus.I will be upgrading to a new mb and the amd 8150 processor i have heard people say with cooler on it idles around 35 to 40 celcius but have in mind totally 8 cores.

Pros: Sturdy design
Quiet fan
Keeps my CPU cool

Cons: The thing was packaged with the wrong AMD clips. Had to wait about 2 weeks for a replacement after sending a few emails to Zalman requesting them.
Cooler didn't fit snugly -at all- and I had to jury rig it a bit to make it stay tight enough for heat transfer to actually occur.

Other Thoughts: I've seen many terrible reviews of Zalman customer service but It didn't take long to get them to send out the replacement part in my case. Took a long while to get to me though, but that's out of Zalmans hands I suppose
