2 out of 5 eggsDissapointed.

Pros: Looks nice, runs quiet. provide a little more than sufficient cooling. Cool LED

Cons: Too Low and High! Just way too big! Had to buy a new case for it and had to sacrifice RAM to make room for it since it was too low and took away the last RAM even if RAMs are low profile!
Didn't last long. It's been half a year now and this unit is slowly turning and hitting other components on the motherboard. I expected longer life than a year from Zalman! Dissapointed.

Other Thoughts: Not worth the price or the hassle. Bad purchase.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat performance, unreliable in a long-term.

Pros: Great performance, cools down i7-3930k with no problems.

Cons: After a 1.5 year of use, central fan is not parallel to the side fans any more. It has an angle about 10 degrees. Because of that, central fan hits the metal parts of the cooler, producing an extremely annoying and loud sound. I have to keep my PC case leaning against the wall at all times so there is a gap appeared between a central fan and metal parts.

Other Thoughts: For a $100 i expected at least 3 years of flawless work. And now warranty is gone and I have to buy a new cooler. Disappointed. I will avoid this brand in a future.

1 out of 5 eggsNO GO

Pros: large

Cons: Wont fit on a z97 chipset board made by gigabyte namely the GA-Z97X-Gaming G1, ALSO the z97 SOC FORCE.

NO SUPPORT from Zalman

Other Thoughts: I own both the above motherboards and the way the northbridge heatsinks are on both boards this wont fit you can not in any way fit the heatsink on because you cant get to the top screws to hold them down, also the bracket that you have to screw down to hold it is to long and hits the heatsinks. So you would have to grind bracket down the find some magic way of getting to the screw on that side to tighten them. So if you own either of those boards don't buy this because it wont fit.
I bought a 9500led to fit but the bracket inside was wrong for the 1150 socket. I have emailed ( yes to the right address ) and filled out their web form twice in the last 3 weeks with no reply from zalmann to get the right bracket. So lets see this one wont fit and other has wrong bracket with NO SUPPORT from zalman at all. I cant call them their hours are like mine and since they don't answer emails you might as well go with a different company. Now they can leave a reply here but it doesn't help because they don't answer emails what a lame company.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear valued customer,

We sincerely apologize for the issue. Please contact our customer service e-mail or via toll free number 1-888-925-6266 for further assistance.

Thank you.

Best regards,

Zalman USA Customer Service

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Good air movement, high quality build.

Cons: Parts that were essential for the installation were not included in the box. I had to email Zalman for them. That is unacceptable when you pay this much for a cooler...

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome!

Pros: Looks great, very quiet even with 3 fans, Keeps CPU temps very low on my Intel 3770, temps before were around 42-45, there now at 25 when idle.

Cons: Was very large and installing was difficult but mostly cause instructions weren't great and the Allen wrench could of been a bit longer

Other Thoughts: I noticed a lot a people on here having issues with it covering there ram, well I actually made a mistake when I installed the support plate to the board but it worked out very well in the end, I ended up mounting it so the fans would would exhaust out the top of the case but its was fine because my case has two 120mm fans that exhaust out the top, so when I put the unit into the case to mount it on it didn't effect my ram or any other components in there, I have a Sentey Burton Extreme Division Tower Case with an ASUS Z77 Sabertooth board with the thermal armor on it and the ram is Corsair Vengeance, and everything fits fine. I would suggest giving this a try if your case has Fans that Exhaust out the top cause even with the GPU right below the cooler I still get max temps between 40-50 when gaming. I'm getting another for my other build that will be using an Intel 4770K.

4 out of 5 eggsa monster

Pros: its big and plenty of airflow. probably one of the best short of liquid cooling. blue is my favorite color. and its not loud. even with 3 fans

Cons: its BIG. if you want 4 sticks of ram dont buy it. i had to use both channels A and B of my ran just so i can fit the cooler in the case. but no big worries. it is what it is. it wont get 5 eggs because i cant use the other 2 A and B slots of my ram. im useing the ASUS sabertooth 990 MB

Other Thoughts: i suggest buying a smaller cooler. zalman will always have a place in my case and they did a good job at explaining how big it was in the description. but i didint realize how big it was untill i saw the box. and it was nearly the size of my head. LITERALLY. like a 7 year olds head. its huge. its as tall at a 12FL oz glass bear bottle. pretend your PSU is your cpu heat sink. THAT BIG.

4 out of 5 eggsIt's good, but...

Pros: It worked well to keep the CPU cool.

Cons: I have a very large case, ATX super tower, and it did not fit in my case. I ended up returning it because I could not close my case.

Other Thoughts: If you do buy this item, make sure you measure your case and have the room for it.

5 out of 5 eggsHuge, Cold, Silent

Pros: -Keeps my OCed 4930k @ 4.8 GHz at a cool 65C at full load on 12 threads on Wprime/OCCT
-Very, very quiet with max fan speed
-For daily use and gaming, the fans never kick in on my custom cooling profile (fans remains off until the cpu hits 50C).
-Plays Skyrim/GTAIV with fans off (temps never go past 45C)

Cons: -Huge, blocks 2 of my ram slots an my only other PCIE 3.0 16x slot on an ASUS Rampage IV Black Edition, so to do a proper crossfire config I'd have to get water cooling or a less manly air cooler.
-Had to install it on motherboard outside of the case then place it into the case due to it's sheer size
-Installation is sort of tricky for LGA 2011 chipsets, and almost impossible without taking you mobo out of the case

Other Thoughts: The bottom plate where the heatsink comes into contact with the CPU isn't completely flat and has small grooves as the heatpipes are in direct contact with the CPU and thus requires slightly more thermal paste in order to get proper coverage (thermal paste credit card technique is an absolute must for this heatsink)

5 out of 5 eggsOhMyGosh!!!

Pros: - OhMyGosh! This thing is HUGE! As others have said, make sure you have room. I had to remove on case fan to make room, but it was WELL worth it.
- Getting about 15C LESS CPU temp over previous cooler. This thing ROCKS!
- PLAN where this thing will go & know what you're getting into, BEFORE ordering OR installing. This cooler is a MAJOR addition to your case.
- Previous normal CPU temps (on over-clocked AMD Phenom II CPU) ran about 42C idel and 55-60 during tasking from flight sim game & add-ons. Now, I am sitting here watching a fully tasked CPU running at 42C. What a difference! Idel temps are around 30-32 now, vs. 40-42 before.
- Well worth the investment!

Cons: - Took an afternoon to install. Had to literally take all PCIe and other cards out, as well as remove my MB completely.
- Believe it or not, but the allen wrench for the cooler hold down screws could have been longer! It's pretty dang long now, but could be about an inch or two longer. It was a REAL tight squeeze getting to the screws in a tightly packed case.
- You have to be REAL patient installing this thing. It's not a qucik swap-out as smaller coolers are.

Other Thoughts: - Directions could have been a bit clearer. Be sure to read over them a few times before tackling the install.
- As mentioned, Allen-wrench could have a bit longer reach for tightly fitting boxes.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Most importantly: it cools my FX 8320 extremely well.

Exceeded expectations for quiet noise levels.

It has a very exciting look- the three large glowing fans look great from the side. (Do a goolge img search)

Cons: It's HUGE, but you should know this and do your research before you buy it. The larger size also ends up being a plus, since it helps with performance.

It's not what I would call easy to install. I didn't have any problems here, but it's definitely more involved than a smaller HSF that would clip straight onto the socket. You must removed your mobo from the case since you have to access the backside to bolt on a new bracket for stability. It's not hard, it's just involved. The instructions are fine.

Other Thoughts: It just *barely* fit in my case, but I had no problems fitting all my components with decent cable management. I'n VERY happy with performance, looks, and noise levels. It's essentially silent.
