ZALMAN CNPS7000B-Cu LED 92mm 2 Ball Cooling Fan

  • 1350 - 2600 ±10% RPM
  • Copper
ICON Loading...

The Zalman CNPS7000B-Cu cooler is designed to keep your processor cool, whether you use it in a standard desktop tower or in a slim or low-profile computer case, like those used for home-theater PCs. A dense circular array of copper fins pulls heat up from the copper base quickly dissipating the heat.

The cooler is specially designed with an ultra-quiet 92mm fan just 18dBA when spinning at 1,350rpm embedded into its top. This allows for powerful cooling in a more compact space. The included Fan Mate 2 control module lets you effortlessly slow or speed up the fan depending on your activity. Slow it down to silent mode when you're watching a DVD or speed it up when you're 3D gaming. Plus, blue LEDs add a splash of color to your case's interior.

With the included brackets, the cooler will work with Intel Pentium 4 (Socket 478), AMD K8 (Socket 754/939/940) processors. To use it on Socket 775 for Intel Core 2 Duo and Pentium D CPUs, ZM-CS1 must be purchased separately.

  • newegg Pure Copper Heatsink Base and Fins A pure copper base and circular heatsink formed by radially-aligned ultra-thin copper fins maximize heat dissipation surface area for excellent cooling performance.
  • newegg Blue Fan LEDs The blue LEDs provide brilliant illumination while the fan is in operation for eye-catching fun.
  • newegg Adjustable Fan Speed A bundled fan speed controller (FAN MATE2) enables control of noise and fan speed for exceptional cooling and quietness.
  • newegg Universal Socket Compatibility As a universal solution for PC systems, the ZALMAN CNPS7000B-Cu features broad compatibility with all AMD socket 754, 939, 940 and Intel 478, 775 (ZM-CS1 is required separately) platforms.

4 out of 5 eggsRuns Quiet

Pros: Quite, cost effective, looks good with UV reactive cables, 680W atts, LOTs of cables and long length

Cons: Runs slightly Hot under gaming, Not much of a con though given the Price is very good

Other Thoughts: If you are looking for a Power Supply that is Acrylic, yet durable this seems to be a good choice. Runs very quiet, even with the fan speed adjusted to Max

3 out of 5 eggsOC'd AMD 8120 4.1 GHZ

Pros: Ok. You get what you pay for. Have this on my OC'd 4.1 GHZ AMD 8120 Tri Monitor. Temps get up to around 50 celsius when playing games. and having multiple photoshops and browsers open.

Cons: A little loud. Wished it'd cool better.

5 out of 5 eggsStill going strong!

Pros: -Quiet
-Keeps CPU Cool

Cons: -None

Other Thoughts: This has got to be one of the best, if not the best Socket 478 CPU cooler. It has kept my Pentium 4-HT (socket 428 533MHz FSB) cool for years now. I'm glad to see this thing is still available for anyone that may need a cooler for a 478 system in the future.

4 out of 5 eggsPretty Decent

Pros: Lower profile than many other coolers in its class. Quieter than most stock coolers. Runs fairly cool in my setup.

This would be a fantastic cooler for the sockets for which it is designed.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Purchased this because I needed a lower profile fansink than I had, and there were few other choices. I bought this for my AM3 Phenom quad core, knowing it was not made for AM3 sockets. I have a couple other 939 coolers that worked well on AM3, but this one does not. The problem is that it has its own bracket, which will not mount to an AM3 board. I was able to make it work by cannibalizing other fansinks, and it now does a very good job keeping the CPU cool(er).

Currently installed in this setup:
Phenom II 840 X4 3.2GHz
ASUS M4A88T-I Deluxe
LIAN LI PC-Q07 (with added 120mm fan)

Again, do not buy this CPU for an AM3 unless you are confident you can put something together that will make it work.

5 out of 5 eggsamazing cooling power

Pros: All copper, blue fan, adjustable speeds, silent, keeps my old processor at or below 25C on idle and never has it gone above 37C under full load

Cons: limited socket compatibility (I have a 939 and it fits perfect, but not many others, especially new and popular sockets will fit)

Other Thoughts: I bought this for my 939 setup mentioned above. I just purchased an entire amd 3 setup and want to keep my fan... i think i can jury rig some clips i have to fit, but this thing is a monster cooler.

5 out of 5 eggsClassic HSF design

Pros: I've been using a Zalman 7000Cu cooler for over 6 years on various iterations of my PC and it has never failed to quietly keep my CPU cooler than can reasonably be expected. Over the years this has cooled an Athlon XP 3200+, an Opteron dual core, Phenom X3 720 and as of today an Phenom X6 1100T. On the occasion of slathering this workhorse with Arctic Silver for the 4th time I thought I'd write a note expressing my gratitude. My new Thuban has yet to break 40 degrees C under load at stock speeds.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I should also mention that this fan has survived a transoceanic journey to Asia, then to Europe, then back to the US, journeys which killed 3 of my case fans.

This is by far the most bang for my buck of any PC component I've owned. Zalman has won my loyalty with this product.

5 out of 5 eggsUtterly dependable

Pros: Cools and keeps cooling. I use it in an old P4 rig that runs relatively hot, no bragging rights there, but the dependability is phenomenal. I run 3D renditions on this system they go at 100% CPU, the record is a 72hour run at 100% with no problem.

Cons: It's not very quiet at max revs.

Other Thoughts: I live in the cold North. I have a small airduct that goes from the side air inlet on the case to a vent that lets outside air in. In the winter that means -20 C air that will keep the processor at 35 C at 100% load for any lengt of time.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome, best fan out there

Pros: Cools the CPU very well, I like the fan controller and its very quiet even on HIGH.

Cons: Had to take out motherboard to install, but so worth it. I like the fan controller but when running PC Wizard 2008 it appears to have lost about 100rpm on high.... but not a big deal.

Other Thoughts: My XP 3000 was running mid to high 40's sometimes over 50 depending on load.... full load this hasn't hit over 40 degrees.... 10 + degree change!! Awesome!
