5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great size and a decent upgrade from a stock cpu cooler. Installation was fairly easy but I've never replaced a cpu cooler before so it was all new to me.

Cons: Slight rattle but not an issue

5 out of 5 eggsCool, quiet, worth it

Pros: Cool; Got my idle temps down by several degrees compared to stock cooling straight out of the box, and my load temps down even more than that.
Fits in a small case with ease and cleared every component by a mile. Using an ASUS M5A78L-M LX-Plus motherboard and G.Skill RIPJAW Series RAM, for reference.

Very quiet, too, as in: you can't hear it running over other fans. Installation was fairly quick and easy for my AM3+ core, aside from one con.

Cons: The only con to this is that there are grooves where the copper heatpipes touch the CPU that should be filled in with thermal grease for effective cooling.

Other Thoughts: I'm glad I bought this over AMD's stock cooler. Much less noise, and I'm getting cool temperatures. If you want something beefier, you could also try Zalman's CNPS9500A for a little more money, as I've heard it can fit on virtually every motherboard they've ever tested. For my FX-8350@4.0GHz, though, the Performa works just fine.

5 out of 5 eggsQuiet!

Pros: The stock cooler on my mother's AM3 was just too loud. I wanted something quiet, without having to remove the motherboard and install a back plate. The installation of this was pretty easy, and with Artic Silver 5, it is keeping things cool. But most importantly, it is very quiet. I do not know or care how it would work if I were overclocking, but for a stock setup, it gave me the ease of installation and low noise I was looking for. MATX board in a mid ATX case.

Cons: None so far.

5 out of 5 eggsAn Excellent Cooler for Some Tight Situations

Pros: This cooler proved ideal mounted onto a CPU populating a micro-ATX motherboard in a micro-ATX mini-tower case. Many of the micro-ATX motherboards have the RAM slots located very close to the CPU. Most CPU coolers would overlap the first RAM slot (at least). Although you can find quite a few coolers tall enough to clear some low-profile RAM, these coolers are often too tall to fit into a micro-ATX mini-tower case. This cooler is short enough (to fit most mini-tower cases), and slender enough to clear the RAM slots, too (allowing you to use RAM with full-height heat spreaders).

Cons: This cooler does not have back plate. Some folks consider this a pro (because it's more trouble to install a cooler that requires a back plate), but I would prefer a sturdy steel back plate, because it permits you to clamp the cooler to the CPU more tightly, improving the thermal interface. Without the support of a back plate, you risk damaging the motherboard, if you over-tighten the cooler (and bend the motherboard).

Other Thoughts: I would not use this cooler in a full-size ATX build. There are better solutions, when you have sufficient space.

2 out of 5 eggsYou get what you pay for....

Pros: -Very light
-Very small and versatile
-Price is cheap
-Easy installation, with clear explaination

Cons: -Loud (see other toughts)
-Poor life time.....
-Can't acheive high overclock (overheats)

Other Thoughts: Worked VERY well for.. 1 months, then it started to get pretty loud then the noise it makes, went up. Now I hate it, bought corsair liquid cooling (h100i).to replace it. I would recommend this fan for someone, that does not really care about noise and that wouldn't oc with it

1 out of 5 eggsPoor Design

Pros: Looks cool

Cons: To start it doesnt completely cover the CPU. Cooling isnt great. And its very large and could interfere with side case fans (i had to remove mine).
Second the fan on it is cheaply made and you cannot change it out with another fan. Keeping in mind you shouldn't stick your hand near a fan while its on I did and it snapped the blade clean off.
I had another one sitting here so I traded them out and when I closed my case a wire was close and again snapped the fan blade off the second one. I have hit fans a few times in my life and never had one break. The fact you cant plug and play another fan is terrible since these are now shot.

Other Thoughts: Buy something that covers your CPU and has a fan you can trade out with any other standard case fan.

3 out of 5 eggsoka

Pros: Well its quieter than my stock cooler not as heavy as some aftermarkets

Cons: not as good as mystock cooler and lesser quality. It also doesnot cover the full cpu and cost to much at the price i bought it (20 usd)lost an egg for that because iI bought one for 15usd(13.50 on sell that was way better.and lost an egg for having to fill in spaces on botton of the base.

Other Thoughts: make the base bigger if your going to clame am3+ cpu and solid copper foot would be nice...The resson i got this was noise of my stock cooler was unbarble I sould have seen if i could have got a better fan for my stock one oh well(fan is 60mm on the stock)

5 out of 5 eggsDoes what it says on the box: it cools my CPU

Pros: I am not overclocking my CPU, but its temps are about 20 degrees Celsius cooler than my CPU's included stock cooler. Given this, I'm sure it could handle a reasonable amount of heat generated by a little bit of overclocking. I got this one because of the 92mm fan size; I was nervous about getting a big cooler because I didn't want to encounter issues fitting it in my case, and this worked out well. This cooler fits fine inside my case, even with top-mounted case fans (though it is a little close/snug, but not problematic at all). If you don't want to risk trying to fit a big cooler into your mid-tower, this one should probably fit well.

Cons: It took me a little time and a couple of scratched knuckles to ensure the cooler was centered and fastened properly. It was a bit of a pain, but that's probably me and not the cooler's fault.

Other Thoughts: I did what another reviewer recommended and put some thermal paste along the seams where the copper meets the aluminum before mounting.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Value

Pros: This cooler works well, much better than stock
mostly quiet
easy to install on AMD
Looks nice

Cons: At full tilt I can hear it spin up, but that's true of most fans
Does not cover the entire cpu.. leaves a little cpu showing on the edges. doesn't seem to affect anything though

Other Thoughts: Was recommended this cooler by a friend. I have this cooling a FX6300 now overclocked to a stable 4.3ghz and the temps are very good. My room is ~70-75F and at idle the cpu is around 30C, under load the highest I have recorded was 48C. Looks like I have some headroom! I am really happy with this purchase and would recommend this cooler.
