ZALMAN ZM-CS2011 Socket LGA2011 Clip Kit

Pros: Very good item. However, do not buy this if you are going to buy a Zalman CNPS9900Max-B, because this clip is already included with that cooler.

Cons: I wasted $10 bucks because I did not know this info.

Pros: Worked perfectly to mount my CNPS11x onto my Sabertooth x79 mobo. This is a very basic bracket and it works as it should. Installation is a breeze.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: The CNPS11x is a good cooler for allowing access to all the DIMM slots on 2011 boards. Seems to be better than its successor, the "performa"....this LGA2011 bracket makes it possible for me to use the cooler I want. What could be better?

Pros: I have owned a very similar model and bought this one for a brand new build. Zalman consistently puts out a product that works every time and does an excellent job of keeping the CPU cool. I mounted this on a X79 LGA 2011 Just a word to the wise; you need to purchase a separate mounting kit for this at this time and New Egg sells them.

Cons: Okay not too many cons, but as I stated above, Zalman should include the X79 LGA 2011 kit rather than having to purchase this separate. The second point is, Leave the plastic shroud on which covers the Fins. If you don't, you may cut your self. Finally, make sure you have a big case as this heat sink is big.

Pros: Fit well. Holds Fan securely.

Cons: None at this time.

Other Thoughts: Back plate included with Zalman CNPS11X Fan is not required for a LGA2011 mount. Does not obstruct RAM with Heat sinks (Corsair Vengeance) - ASRock X79 extreme11 mobo. Installed CPU and Fan PRIOR to installing Motherboard in case. Had to remove Fan from heat pipes prior to mounting over CPU in order to more easily thread two of the screws.

Pros: Much simpler than the LGA1155 kits.

Cons: Had to wait an extra 2 days to get it from Zalman. I ordered one from new egg just in case Zalman took too long. Waste of $6.99, but oh well.

Pros: This is really a must if you want your CPU Cooler to stay mounted securely on a LGA2011 board. I've had a few friends do it without this clip but it's VERY sketchy on their ghetto rig mod to get the cooler connected. This is the strongest method since the coolers are so enormous.
