4 out of 5 eggsQuite good

Pros: This thing keeps my OC 4.5 ghz cpu at under 40 celcius under medium to high loads. Quite impress with it. Overall runs pretty quiet.

Cons: Water pump does make a little wine when pumping like what most other buyers have stated, but it has mostly gone away now. Was quite noticeable at first 24 hours but now it is or is nearly gone.

4 out of 5 eggsInitial thoughts

Pros: I've had this thing running for a day so far. CPU temps hover around 95-100f with the case side open as I work on it, but I'm not pushing it or doing much on it yet, just installed Windows 8.1 and installing updates and assorted software such as Office 2013, Visual Studio 2013, etc.

Cons: The pump on the CPU is a little noisy, I can definitely hear it turning. Hard to describe the sound though. I've seen some mention it's silent, wish mine was, but I guess at least I know it's turning. My CPU is an LGA 2011, and mounting the cooler to the CPU was very easy, simply tighten down 4 thumb screws from the top, nothing to do on the back of the mobo. Mounting the radiator to the case was a small challenge, but that was a case issue.

Other Thoughts: Mobo: ASUS X79-Deluxe
CPU: i7-3930k.
RAM: 32 GB G.SKILL Trident X (had to remove the fins on the top to fit under the radiator, which was easy, 2 phillips screws on either end)

So far I give this 4 stars, would have been 5 if it weren't for the noise coming from the pump, which isn't loud, but it's definitely noticeable. Maybe once I close up the case and put it down next to my desk I won't notice it so much.

5 out of 5 eggsQuiet, easy, effective

Pros: Very quiet and effective. With i7-4770S (a relatively low TDP processor) temps stay below 50 deg C with all four cores fully loaded. The best part: It was actually easier to install than most heatsink-fan combos. Good design and instructions, quality parts.

Cons: One day it will stop working. Instead of just blowing out the dust and giving it a new fan like with a traditional cooler, the whole system will probably need to be replaced. I hope it lasts a long time!

Other Thoughts: Used with a Cooler Master Elite 130 case which is a small case designed for radiator installation. Hoses were good length, more than needed for this case but it is pretty small.

5 out of 5 eggsBetter than AIR

Pros: Whether your Gaming, hardcore multi-tasking, or using intensive Graphical editing software. This will keep you cpu nice and cool.

Cons: The radiator is a little bulky, READ SPECIFICATIONS

Other Thoughts: Using an 8350, it hasn't gone over 42 C* on BF4

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Cooler!

Pros: I chose to buy this for my AMD FX-8350 4.0Ghz AM3+ CPU and it cools my chip low, and I mean low (temps dropping to 8-9C on no load with minor load bringing it up to a stable 10-11C. Max load 44C.) I love this cooler and it runs great. If you have a chip and are skeptical of this cooler. It runs great after parts of my CM Storm Scout case got thrashed in shipping if that shows the quality of this cooler.

Cons: Only flaw, the blue LED on the cooler (all my case theme is red and black), but I won't dock an egg for that reason.

Other Thoughts: None, just get this if you really need a potent cooler

3 out of 5 eggsOK Cooler, Lazy rebate

Pros: Easy install, Fit perfect in my mid-size ATX case, Lowered my CPU temperature by about 5 to 7 degrees, looks cool, extremely quiet

Cons: I was expecting at least 5 more degrees drop in temp. The 120 mm fan it comes with can only blow into the radiator, not out - limits your mounting choices, but not too much. Bought this during a $20 rebate. You could only receive a $20 American Express Card! Kind of a disappointment.

Other Thoughts: On my 3.4 ghz quad-core AMD (overclocked to 4.0) this cooler lowered my temp from 38 to 31 to 33. Not bad, but I was expecting more.

5 out of 5 eggsMy First Water Cooler

Pros: Price (Incredible sale+rebate=CM Hyper 212 Price Range)
Easy Installation
Decent Temps

Cons: Plastic mounting bracket (Strong plastic, so not really a con)

Other Thoughts: This was part of my 4th build, and it was my first time using a closed-loop water cooler. Instructions were actually useful, making it easy to install onto my Intel 3570K. With the rebate negating the price difference between the two, I couldn't resist choosing the LQ-315, instead of another bulky Hyper 212 cooler. I get decent temps, low noise, and zero problems. If you're considering this cooler, I say buy it.

5 out of 5 eggsVery cool

Pros: Good size to fit in case, thermo paste already applied, quiet, nice looking if your case has a clear side panel (mine does not), makes a big difference in CPU temp.

Cons: First one I received had a pump issue, sounded terrible. Returned through Zalman because I already sent code from side of box for rebate and Newegg doesn't accept returns without b ox intact. Zalman took care of it quickly, good support.

Other Thoughts: Wasn't sure if I would need a water cooler because I don't push my computer to much, but found a sale I couldn't resist through Newegg.

Tested my CPU (AMD8350) with stock cooler using prime 95 to push it to it's limit. The CPU rapidly rose to 56C-62C. After installing this cooler, it brought the temp down to 35C max during prime95. I have to say it exceeded my expectations.

As I type this message my CPU is hanging out at 10C-18C. mostly 10C. (using Core TEMP 1.0 SOFTWARE)

3 out of 5 eggsRuns well now (been 1 month)

Pros: Price isn't to bad,
performs fairly well under O.C.
Quieter than stock fan,

Cons: Difficult to Install on AMD CPU,
Radiator didn't fit Zalman Z9,
Plastic back plate with rubber stickies.

Other Thoughts: I recently added another 120mm fan to the radiator to make a push/pull config and that actually fits in my Zalman Z9, previously it was impossible to install ANYWHERE. The reservoir got in the way or the tube was to short.

At first made noise, but is quiet now.

Instructions pretty non-existent for amd users, like which way the screws need to be turned to fit the pump onto the retention plate. I'm pretty sure I smeared the pre-applied compound all over trying to line up and screw this thing in.

2 out of 5 eggsVery Poor

Pros: Blue LED

Cons: -Difficult install brackets - just overly complicated
-Cooling power was worse than stock cooler
-Pump on the radiator was louder than the fan
-Took up a lot of real estate inside the case

Other Thoughts: Returned it for a well-made Cooler Master Tower Air Cooler. I figure, weather I am on water or air I will still have 120MM fan spinning. But one also has a loud water pump churning.
