5 out of 5 eggsSo cool

Pros: Sleek, solid, quiet.
This cooler is great. Granted it's new but the overall quality is great. The components all appear solid. My build puts this cooler with an FX-8350 CPU and it's great. Under full load the CPU never peaks past 50c. Idle with no load can drop me down to 7c. All temps measured with CoreTemp.
The overall feel of this cooler is solid and quality. the instructions are a bit vague but not impossible to work with. The install is a breeze and once fully connected feels very sturdy. All parts are quality and I don't feel any of the included brackets or screws are subpar. Even with the fan at 100% it's volume is not horrendous. I would suggest a second fan added to the setup so you have push-pull airflow but the one fan does very well. I would recommended this cooler to anyone.

Cons: The only real con I have is that only one radiator fan is included. I think if a second was added it would be an even better value. Not enough of a con to remove an egg though.

4 out of 5 eggsgreat

Pros: works great..fx 9370 o/c'd to 5.0ghz and runs cool enough. i added a pull fan. looks great with led.

Cons: -1 egg instructions were more for intel config and kinda hazy for amd. they should just make a short vid and link to it on newegg or at least on their site. but everything is included.

4 out of 5 eggsEasy, effective, all-in-one water cooling option

Pros: I bought this to cool an Intel i7-3930K hexacore running at 4GHz. This was my first foray into water cooling, and I am glad I started with one of these units rather than a larger set-up with an external cooling tower which would take up a lot more space. My CPU runs about 80F (26C) at idle or while doing basic business tasks (Word, browsing). Under full load, it has not exceeded 120F (49C) and very quickly brings temps down after full load.

I mounted the water block with the hoses on the side, and the radiator block with hoses on the bottom, after reading other reviews about the gurgling noise at startup, and I haven't had a single gurgle. The radiator block is large and with the push-pull fan setup, it just barely has clearance for my outermost DIMM slots in an Antec P280 case with an ASUS Rampage IV Gene mobo. The stack of fan-radiator-fan will protrude deeply into your case, so plan accordingly if your DIMM slots are there.

The rubber hoses and connectors seem well made, I have had zero issues with leakage, and if memory serves, the block doesn't use water, but another coolant, which is reassuring.

Cons: The fans on the radiator are too loud. I hate fan noise and I was aiming for a whisper-quiet rig, which was one reason I chose an all-in-one water unit to cool the hexacore CPU. (Another reason was not wanting to fasten a 50 pound heatsink to the CPU.)

I replaced the radiator fan between the case wall and radiator with a Noctua NF-P12, and this was an improvement. The inner fan, which mounts to the other side of the radiator block, has cut-away screw holes for mounting, so unless you can hack off the corners of a replacement fan or find extra-long screws, you're stuck with it. It is by far the loudest fan in my six-fan case. The other fans are Noctuas and the two stock Antec fans provided for the top vents on the Antec P280, which are barely audible. With fan controller software, I can cut the RPMs down to an acceptable but not perfect level except when CPU runs at full load, when the only fan I hear is the Zalman. If you are a quiet freak, this might displease you, but otherwise, the fan noise probably won't bother you, and you can minimize it. Also, the fan has gotten a little quieter after the first week's "break-in" period. During the first week, the fan had a distinct high-pitched "scratchy" sound, which I assume was some bearing or cuff wearing in.

As others have noted, the instruction sheet is poorly written. Read it carefully before installing the CPU mounting frame, and play with the pieces first before attempting to fasten it to your board. After reading the reviews here, and the sheet carefully, I still goofed up the mounting pin placement, but since I checked alignment BEFORE pushing the pins down and inserting them all the way, this was easily fixed. I highly recommend double-checking that all the pins are lined up before pressing them down to mount the water block to the CPU. Otherwise, removal might be a pain.

Very minor, but I removed the stock cooling compound on the water block, which only covered about two-thirds of the copper surface and was a rather thick clay-like pad. I used Arctic Silver CMQ2 Ceramique to coat the entire copper surface to maximize contact to the CPU metal shield.

Other Thoughts: The light on the water block looks cool.

It's so effective at bringing the temp down quickly, I actually worry about the thermal stress on the chip material, but I have no idea if this is an issue. My CPU temp drops from 120F (49C) to 80F (26C) in about two seconds when going from full load to no load. This unit provides a TON of cooling power for my needs.

5 out of 5 eggsAbsolutly fantastic!

Pros: Smaller than the Corsair H100i and only a few degrees warmer in comparison. My Antec 902 case doesn't have a location for the H100i so I purchased this cooler because it is square not rectangle so it fits in the rear 120mm exhaust fan mounting area of my case and it is also thicker (52mm) than other 120mm radiators. I removed the stock fan and used two Scythe Gentle Typhoon High speed series 1850 RPM in a push/pull setup. I paid $15.99 each elsewhere. I would HIGHLY recommend putting these fans on this unit in a push/pull setup to get the most out of it. At full speed the Gentle Typhoons are quiet! I removed and replaced the stock Thermal paste on the water block with Arctic Silver 5. I have my I7-4770K overclocked to 4.3GHZ @ 1.254V stable. With this cooler and fan setup my Idle temp is average of 31C and under Aida64 max temp is 81C. Under gaming it only hits a max temp of around 71C. I'm used to air coolers and how the temp slowly drops after load testing BUT LOVE how the temp drops from 81C to 31C within 4 to 5 seconds with this water cooler!

Cons: Price is a little high @ $89.99 since the H100i is just a few dollars more. Luckily there is a $20.00 rebate making it $69.99!

5 out of 5 eggsOverclocking

Pros: I have the LQ 320 cooling a FX 8320 overclocked to 4.1 Mhz Turbo is 4.5 turned on not auto. On a Asus M5a99x EVO Mobo/ 16gig of 1333ram overclocked.. So far temps of 12.1c - 37.9c core 1-8 depending on the load. For example browser open with 23 tabs and EVE and COH2 running at same time

Cons: Installation instructions almost worthless but if you take your time can be fig out,,, not even pictures to show in instructions

Other Thoughts: Haven't pushed it to its limits yet. Right now its 11.8c -12.3c just browsing the web' Used the fan that came with AZZA full tower and Zalmon for a push pull config. Not noisy...

3 out of 5 eggsGreat Product, Bad fan

Pros: Keeps my 3570k nice and cool. Radiator fits perfectly and all the cables, etc have the right length

Cons: The fan. I have never heard an "ultra-quiet" fan make SO much noise before. Switching the fan is completely necessary. I can't believe how disappointing the supplied fan is. I wondered if I was the only one... but only found out that the zalman's fan is just loud.

Other Thoughts: Pretty good overall, -2 eggs because of the fan. Yep, two eggs because now I just have a useless fan sitting around. I would've paid more if they supplied me with a better fan, but instead I had to go to the store to pick up a simple $10 fan.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat device, Lousy MIR system

Pros: Cooler working great, processor stays well below operating temperature levels even under intense usage.

Cons: Never received MIR on purchase even though sent in ontime.// would much rather have the discount up front.// installation is a bit more involved than expected and location of radiator for cooler blocks closing of case..

Other Thoughts: Mail In Rebates are an incredible waste of time and effort for little return. I've had two in the last year 1 From NewEgg the other From another competitor for a Cooler Master case.. I never received either of the rebates.. If you aren't going to come through or nitpick on the method?? Don't offer a rebate.
